11 Wedding Night(1)

My song really got everyone back in a happy mood and the rest of the evening went off with any more incidents. The only problem was because of Anna, the princess's first meeting was ruined but I didn't mind as much as Christopher. I invited Snow White to sit by my side so we could talk while the servants got the dessert ready to serve. Looking at this younger version of Snow White I could really tell why she was given the title fairest in the land.

"Snow White, I hope that we can get along, I'll try my best to be there for you," I told her giving her a gentle smile.

Snow White looked up at me with a smile and nodded her head, "I'll also try to be there for you and won't cause you trouble, mother." She said.

"I also wanted to let you know that I won't try to replace your birth mother, so you don't have to call me in a way that will make you feel uncomfortable," I said taking her hands in mine.

Shaking her head she gave me a serious look, "My father trust that you will be a good mother-figure for me and I believe in him. So you from this day forward I'll treat you as my mother in my heart." She said with a bright smile.

Feeling my heart warm up I vowed to protect this little girl, no matter how this fairy tale ends this little girl will have a happy life. While the two of us was in the midst of eating and having a good conversation, Christopher stood up and got everyone attention.

"Everyone, tonight will be ending but I wish for the joy to continue, that is why I have a decree for my loyal citizens. In celebration of the royal wedding, for the next two months, there will be a tax decree. Let us not worry about money and enjoy the great events of today." He said with a rare smile that is not shown on the ice king.

The whole room burst out in cheers and praise for the royal family, and I could only smile at the king when he announced his order. 'This man might be cold but a least he is a good ruler.' I thought.

When all the guest were sent away from the castle and Snow White was taken to bed with her nanny, I was led to my bedchambers. While Marisol and some other maids helped me change into my nightgown I was having a lot of nervous and frightful emotions. Tonight is the wedding night but I couldn't put my heart into this ritual. I sat on the bed and let out a sigh, 'I always thought when I got married I'll be with someone I love.' I thought with my eyes closed.

There is also the problem with my age, in this world I'm in my twenties but I still have to soul of a seventeen-year-old. How was I suppose to understand all the inner workings that happen on a wedding night, I thought I would be able to ask my mother when the time was right.

When there was a knock on the door I saw that it was Marisol carrying a tray, "My queen, I have brought you some calming tea. It will calm your nerves and help you relax until the king arrives." She said holding out the tray. I looked at it and let out a breath, guessing I was really going to have my wedding night.

After drinking the tea, Marisol left and I was alone in the room with nothing to pass the time. I walked around and looked at the different objects but soon found myself looking at the night sky. I saw the moon and wonder if I could ever go back to my world again. I was so focused on the night sky I never noticed that there was a secret door in the room which the king came through. He made my heart skip a beat when he grabbed me by the waist and pulled me to him.

After the ball ended I went back to my study to finish some important paperwork, while steward Lee stood to the side. As the time ticked by I felt him giving me a look, letting out a sigh I gave him a dark look. "You have been wanting to say something for a while, spit it out," I told him.

"Sir, the night is getting late and your bride is waiting in your room. While you might not have wanted a queen, the ritual needs to be completed for your union to be true." He said with his head down.

Knowing that his words are true I put the document in my hand aside, I stood up and walked to the door that connects to my room. Looking over my shoulder, "You can retire for the night." I told him as I went through the door.

Opening the door to the room I saw Hailey standing at the window looking at the night sky. She must be lost in her door because she didn't notice me walk closer to her. Pulling her into my embraced I looked down at her, while she gave me a surprised look.

"Hello. Sorry for making you wait for so long." I told her. Shaking her head she tried to get out of my arms. Finding her actions funny I picked her up and put her on the bed and looked down at her. At that moment she gave me a panicked look and tried to sit and push me aside.

"My king, I thought we already had an agreement, so why are you acting this way." She said in a nervous voice. Giving her a wicked smile I allowed her to sit up but not get away from my grasp while looking in her eyes.

"We do have a deal but you still are my wife and tonight is our wedding night," I told her leaning closer.

"N-no, this is not apart of the deal! I never agreed to have a wedding night just become a mother for Snow White." She said while giving me a panicked look.

Smiling at this lady who looks like a frightened kitten I grabbed her chin and whispered in her ear, "That agreement would still stand but now I find you more interesting. You make things a little less boring and I find getting to know you better won't be the worse thing.

Startled she moved back, "Okay, we can get to know each other, how about we talk? Let us have a long talk about each other likes and dislike." She said while pushing a pillow between us.

Moving the pillow and grabbing her closer I was inches away from her face, "We, of course, can have a long chat but I have another way to learn more about you." I said. Seeing that she wanted to refute my words once more I sealed her mouth with a kiss.
