6 CONFESSION, EXPECTATIONS AND PRIDE

That sunny day at their usual couch at the usual coffee shop, Harry opened up his true feelings for her; He said it started when they are still in Senior high school and back then Ada was so famous due to her family background, remarkable beauty and fashion style, plus she was also included in varsity together with Emy so there are many other guys who wanted to court her.

Harry admitted that he can't handle that kind of girl back then, he thought that if he wanted to compete with other guys he should also have something to be proud of, be someone that Ada deserves. So he decided to just put aside his feelings for the meantime, he wanted to be ready before he can truly say what he feels, and by the word 'ready' he meant that he wanted to be the kind of man who also has his self achievements that Ada would be proud of.

The kind of man who has a successful career and a respectable reputation that she can proudly tell to her parents, a man that would be able to protect her, a better man that he thought she deserves.

He waited for that day to finally be able to confess everything to her, to tell her how he genuinely adored her through all those years and finally declare his love, but then sometimes the irony of life gets in the way as it didn't go to what he had expected it to be.

That time Ada was broken hearted with her 2 year-relationship with Justin, it was just a month ago after their break up, and she was not yet ready to jump into another commitment again so she told him that she would think first about them.

Harry understood it well; he doesn't want to pressure her so he waited for her to be ready. Nothing has changed with the way they treated each other, but they didn't have the chance to tell it to Emy because at that time she was busy with her marital life, her own family and her career.

Months have passed and Harry's feelings for Ada became stronger, and same with Ada who also knew that her feelings towards Harry became mutual, although she did not remember when was the exact moment she started to like Harry but she was confident with her feelings, she felt that she was ready, ready to give her answer to Harry's confession.

She wanted to tell everything to Emy first before Harry, she wanted to hear Emy's side on this matter, it's also important for her as the three of them are best of friends. However, with worse luck the accident happened, and that time it's like Emy's world have fallen apart.

She went through worst since then, and Ada knew that wouldn't be the best time to prioritize her love life, Harry felt the same way as well because Emy needed them as her support system.

Going back to present time, Ada thought they are just doing well, although it felt like they became accustomed with their present setup, she is still confident with her feelings towards Harry and same goes with him.

Not until this EX-lover came back and it's like everything was ruined, her mind is in mess again. She realized that every word that Harry have said awhile ago was all true, that he was right all this time, but it's her who just can't swallow her pride.

When she was done taking a bath, she wrapped her body with a clean towel and took her phone to see if anyone called, but there isn't any. She wanted to call and check Emy but she hesitated, then all of a sudden her door bell rang.

Curious to whom it was at this time, she rushed to open the door, and then she saw Harry standing there. Harry wasn't able to speak up when he saw Ada wearing just a towel to cover her body, and upon realizing it Ada's eyes widen with shock and embarrassment! She immediately runs back to her room to get dress.

Harry's lips quirked up as if suppressing a naughty smile as he enters the house. Ada went back down, trying to hide her embarrassment as she says "so…what brings you here?"

"Ada…about what happened awhile ago, I-I wanted to say I'm sorry…No matter how worried I am, I shouldn't have acted that way…I know it was too much, I went overboard" Harry explained wholeheartedly, his face holds an apologetic expression.

"Harry…I-I don't know what to say…you know that you are important to me but to tell you honestly I just don't want to talk about this for now…Let's just let it slide" she frowned,

Again, this was not Harry expected from her when he says his sorry, he knew this time she is getting confuse and it hurts him to see it through her face and reaction.

"Okay then…I'll take my leave now Ada..I still have work" and with that harry just leave.

As the door is slowly closing, Ada's tears slowly starts to well up in her eyes as well, she just can't explain everything to Harry, not now that she can't even understand herself. She knew that deep within her heart she would always choose him, that's why she made that decision earlier to turn down Justin's job offer, but she also felt that there is this feeling from the past that she needed closure.

Maybe it's because they didn't have that proper closure back then that makes her feel like she still have that hate feeling towards Justin and the fact that he cheated on her and just leave after they broke up made her want to have revenge.

Maybe that is why she acted up like that in front of Justin, she wanted to look strong and not be pitiful in Justin's eyes. If only she had received a sincere act of repentance and a word 'sorry' from Justin back then, she would have let go of the pain from the past a long time ago. There would have been no misunderstandings today between her and Harry, if only then it could have been much easier for her to give her heart a chance to trust and love again.

Meanwhile, Harry gets into his car feeling so down, he isn't even in the mood to work so he called the bar owner and told that he won't be going to work there tonight. After the call, he lean at the headrest of his car seat, he closes his eyes for awhile. Suddenly he just felt so tired, he didn't have proper sleep yet since he came from work last night and in the morning they fetch Emy for her job interview and then after their breakfast, he just went home to freshen up and change clothes before he hurriedly went straight to Justin as he was afraid that he might missed to protect Ada if he would have gotten there a bit late.

Good thing that he came there just in time but again, after that conversation with Justin and trying so hard for Ada, still everything didn't go as he had expected. Harry starts the car engine but before he drive, he picked-up his phone and called Ada

"Hello harry...did you got to work safe?"

"Ahmm yeah...Ada…I just wanted to tell you that I would be busy for this coming few months, and I-I might not be able to hang out with you and Emy"

"Really?...is it work?"

"Ahmm…No it's not, I just have plans and would focus on something, and I'll let you two know when it is done"

"Okay harry" her voice a bit confuse

"Take care of Emy…take care too Ada, goodbye…" his voice trailed off at the last word and with that, Harry ended the call and drive home.

The next morning, Emy got up early and got ready for her first day. She took a bus to get at the company, before she enters, she look first at how big the company is from the outside, "this is it emy.." she whispered to herself as she became a bit nervous and then she went at the reception area.

One of the idol's staff welcomed her and led her at one of the conference room located on the 5th floor of the building.

"Hello Ms. Greyson! I'm Manager Anne, Senior Manager of Star Team. As you know the Idol's group name is Star, it was based on their screen names, and as you can see, I have here with me two other managers; Manager Kate, and Manager Tim."

"Nice to meet you all" Emy replied politely, and Manager Anne continue to say "As you can see Star has four members, and it is only three of us that is why we needed an addition to our family to help us handle the four of them and you are chosen to be one of our growing family here in Sky Hype Entertainment. Welcome Ms. Greyson!"

"Thank you Managers, you can just call me Emy, I will make sure to do my part in everything and you can all count on me." Emy said as she gave them her warmest smile.

When they are done with the introduction, Manager Anne prepared the contract for Emy to sign; they explained to her the company rules and the conditions under her contract. After the contract signing they proceed to Orientation, They had prepared presentation of brief company background, and the Idol's Background as well in which some of it had already read by Emy through her research last night.

Someone knock at the door, it was the staff earlier and she quickly says to Manager Anne that the Idols are coming.
