Chapter 9

"What is it?" He walked towards the sofa and settled down while holding the report I made before we landed on Korea.

And GOD! His bathrobe tie is tied loosely!

Muscles showing, water dripping, me (lusting) scrutinizing.*ehem

Feeling the stuck saliva in my throat, I unconsciously gulped.

"Those stick-in-the-mud geezers are still playing tacticians? We should play some chess sometimes. Adjust my schedule."

"There is a vacant schedule in 12:00 A.M. to 1:30 A.M on Friday."

"That's doable."

"Yes President. There is also an invitation from Mr. Jeong's daughter's engagement party. Shall we accept it? It's scheduled today in 7 o'clock in the evening. With the meeting starts tomorrow at 9:00 A.M., the engagement party will fit our schedule."

"Mr. Jeong is one of the collaborators for the new project here in South Korea, right? Accept it."

"Yes President, I'll ready the suit you'll wear and the gift."

"No, scratch that. Let's go buy my suit and your dress. You are coming with me. Since we still haven't had our lunch, let's eat first and after that, we'll buy the suit and the dress."

"But Sire..." I REALLY, really wish to protest .

Arranging and buying this things is my work. It's written in the job description which I signed. Is he trying to steal my job...?

"Stop fretting, I'm not trying to make you lose your job."

With that 'lose your job' words as a cue, I started to panic.

I looked up and was met with the stoic face of Su Jie Sheng. I can't read what he is thinking.

"There's nothing scheduled for this day, I might as well stretch my legs." He explained as he walked towards the closet and picked a shirt.

"Yes Sir, I'll reserve a table then."

As I was about to leave, Su Jie Sheng removed his bathrobe and underneath it is a pair of pants and a naked upper body.

Without the (annoying) barrier called bathrobe, the years of Sheng's workout clearly shows.

Wait— but why is he wearing pants? When I arrived, his hair is clearly dripping of water but that's not the point! I don't have time to consider that!

Facing the blinding sight called "Su Jie Sheng", all logical reasons was thrown away to the trash can.

My eyes started to sting from staring too much so I blinked.

Maybe because of that blinked, I was saved.

"Ehem* ehem*. Then I'll be leaving President." I bid farewell as I tried to quickly arrive to the door to run away from shame.

"Meet me at the lounge."

I looked back and answered: "Yes sir." As I quickly fled as if a missile is directed at me.

After rehabilitating myself, I changed my clothes and tied my hair up like a ponytail.

When I arrived at the lounge, Su Jie Sheng still haven't arrived.

"Ms. Yong, how was your stay? And Mr. Yoon wanted me to handed it to you." Manager Chen called to me and handed me a car key.

"Thank you, Manager Chen." I smiled politely.

"Zhi Rou, Manager Chen." Then a 'Su Jie Sheng' suddenly arrived.

"President, good afternoon." I greeted as if I wasn't the person who was gawking at him.

"President Su, good afternoon." Manager bowed.

"Hm, work well, then we will be going. Zhi Rou, let's go." Su Jie Sheng then headed to the outside as I followed him.

I leaded him to the car and then unlocked it.

I opened the door for the backseat to him while I positioned myself comfortably on the driver's seat and started the car.

After we ate and bought the gift, we headed to buy the suit and the dress.

When we arrived to the shop, we are welcomed by the saleslady. She ascertained us to what kind of party we are going, what is our preference and choices.

Su Jie Sheng picked a navy 3-piece suit while I picked a Prussian shade of blue A-line dress that is matched with a gray blazer.

After I tried it on, I went out of the dressing room to ask if they have a footwear to match the dress.

While waiting, Su Jie Sheng also went out of the dressing room.

Coincidentally, our eyes met and was locked for a few seconds.

"Oh wow! Ma'am, Sir, you two looks so good!" The saleslady, ofcourse, didn't forget to rain praises who arrived with the footwear I asked.

I specifically asked for the heels to be only 2 inches long. I don't want to strain my legs.

"Presi—" I was about to say something that the tie was missing when I was stopped by him.

"Sheng, I told you to call me that." He reminded me again.

"Eh...? Oh! I'm sorry Pre— Sheng." I corrected myself.

"Uhm, your tie, it's missing." I finally finished what I was about to say earlier.

"Then you choose it for me then. In exchange, I'll choose your necklace."

"Alright." I answered as I headed for the tie section.

Just thinking of me picking a tie for Sheng makes me giddy.

"Uhm... This one." After a few minutes of pondering, I finally decided to go with the burgundy colour. I think it will really suit him.

While the saleslady was getting the tie, Sheng has also finished picking a necklace too.

"Are you finished?" He asked.

"About to, the saleslady is only packaging it up. You?"

"It's already finished. Let's just try it on the hotel."

"Then we should change our clothes then."

"Hm, let's do that." He replied.

When I arrived at my room, the first thing I did was to took out the box.

It was the necklace he picked for me, just thinking about it, makes me smile.

I was the one who paid for what I brought. It's not the company's nor Sheng's so I am really happy that Sheng picked this one for me.

When I opened, I was really shocked. Is coincidence really that good?

He bought me a ruby necklace with diamond bail at the tip of it. The intricate designs that just flows naturally.

While I was absorbed appreciating, the doorbell rang then the voice of Sheng was heard at the intercom.

"Zhi Rou, open up."

I opened the door and let Sheng in.

"Pre— Sheng, uhm, what is it?" I asked why he is here. My tongue almost slipped.

"Nothing." He then headed to the bed which the only thing I can do is follow him.

Wait– what?! Bed?! There is where the necklace lay! He'll definitely think I was so eager to look at it!

But it was already too late, we already arrived at the bed where the necklace lays.

"You already opened it? Have you tried it yet?" He asked.

"No, I still haven't tried it yet." I answered honestly.

He picked the necklace and walked towards me.

Then the next thing I knew, he was already behind me, locking the necklace.

He then turned me to face him. Then I realized we're so close.

Our nose is just centimetres apart. Our eyes locked towards the other. I can feel the blood rushes to my head.

When Su Jie Sheng saw again the scene where Yong Zhi Rou's whole face turned red. Her ear, cheeks, and it even reaches her neck.

That white porcelain-like neck contrasted with the striking blood red colour of the ruby makes you want to try a bite.

Unconsciously, Su Jie Sheng's right hand reached for her neck and started to appreciate the beauty infront of him.

When Yong Zhi Rou felt the warm hand the is caressing her neck, which is one of the places where she feels sensitive the most, her knees started to tremble.

"That ruby matches you and I wished that I have noticed it before." He whispered to her and then brushed the hair that escaped from her tie to the back of her ear.

"I'll be leaving, get ready later for the engagement party." He reminded and then left.
