10 The Basic of Being a Knight

Second-year in Academy, it's time for the student to choose their careers path they want, we start to learn the basic of Economy, Politic and Martial Art, since I choose to be a knight it is a must for me to learn the basic of martial art even though I had mastered all of it, this martial art class was made for the specifically for students who choose to be a knight as their future careers.

As for the Crown Prince that none other than Edward, he had to learn the basics of our empire politic's history, since he will be the future Emperor.

It is good for me since we will rarely meet, we can only meet in the dorm or when there's an announcement from the school.

Life was never been easy for me in the past, even if I scored the martial art in the past, it was so hard!

What can a mere 8 years old kid can do unless being so delicate!?

The past me was talented but too delicate for martial art! My body was weak at that time so even I mastered it, it was hard for me to practiced it since my body was so small.

"Callum Joanne Edgar! come forth!"

"yes, sir!" I stood up from my seat, I walk toward the teacher while fixing my uniform, this teacher here is the one that teaches us martial art, he has a big muscled body, so it was so hurt back then when I tried to fight him.

"Could you show the move I just showed to you?" He said, I don't know why but this teacher likes to discriminate a mere 8 years old child me, in the past I always crying because of him, maybe at that time I look so meek that he can't bear that sight, but what about now?

"yes, sir!" in the past I always hate you, so this is the time to take my revenge for you huh?

The basics of martial art, you should relax your muscles, don't be too tense or else it will limit the movement, straighten the back, gather your power on your hand, and a straight punch! this is a blow that a fighter needs to do by aiming one hand to do a forward strike. The main target is the opponent's chest and we have to make sure that our other hand protects our abdomen upward. After the straight punch, a sidekick! a kick that uses our instep, if the opponent fight back, block it with our hands, hold their hands tight, don't let it go, and then do the circular kick, we need to do this kick from the outside side and swing the kick until the foot is straight and use the back of the foot, if there aren't power in his feet, he will definitely fall from this kick.

And the winner is me!

This teacher looks like he doesn't believe what he just sees, he just lose to a mere 8 years old kid, what a shame for his big muscled body!

I smiled at him and stretch out my hand to him, "are you okay, sir?" I ask

He looks at me with disbelief, oh no, don't look at me like that sir, it is because I'm an ex-top class knight that's why I'm stronger than you, as you know a Prince's knight have to be strong to protect the prince, though I can't say it.

He took my hand and stand up, "where did you learn that?" he asked curiously, there's still disbelief looks from him.

"The basic of martial art was not how powerful you're but how calm you can be to win over your opponent" I answered with a smile, my movement just now is a basic move that everyone can use since all about martial art are about how agile you can be

He smiled at me weirdly, he looks so confused, "you can go back, sir Edgar" he said

"How is your class?" I glanced over to my side to find Edward standing in my side while smiling at me

"what do you want?"

"you know, my class is boring! I was yawning all the time since I already learn that in the past!" Hello, Prince! I did not ask about your class you know!

"so what?"

"I just want to know about your class, is it fun?"

I sighed, "no, is not fun"

He looks at me weirdly, "really?"

"yes, is it!" since I already learn it in the past, "what? since your class was so boring for you so you want to changes class?" I asked him, no way though

"yes! I want to!" he answered with a smile, "since it was so boring to hear the teacher speak all the time! I was thinking if I could change my class to martial art class instead!"

My eyes are glaring at him instantly, "don't you dare to!" I don't want to look at you all the time since it really irritating how my heart beating when I look at you!

"why?"

"you're the crown prince! the future emperor! you can't change your future career path!"

"It is not like I change my mind to be a knight instead of an emperor, an emperor has to learn basic martial art too to protect themselves!"

"if you learn martial art too, what the use of me!? I'm your knight! I protect you if there's danger around you!" I yelled at him, once again, I'm so lucky to be born as a duke and as emperor's right hand, if not, I will be dead now

"How could you yell at me!?" he defended his self as I yelled at him

"Why I can't yell at you!? just think why I yelled at you!" this is really making me mad, why he is so stupid!? does he want to make me his slaves instead of a knight?!

I sighed, "oh my goodness, I can't stand you anymore" why did I fell in love with this stupid kid in the past? do I just too naive?

He looks at me furiously, "it is me that can't stand you anymore! you're rude! you have no manners, you can't even respect me as a crown prince!"

This is really making me mad! "so what if you're a crown prince?! even if you're a God, I won't change my mind about how annoying you're!!" I shouted at him as I really furious of him now

.... wait a minute

Did I really just shouted at him? Did I just call him annoying?

I glanced at him, I can see how furious he is right now.

"I think you have a death wish huh?" he said
