Perfectionist's Imperfection 1

While laying in her bed, Thelize tried to relive her past.

She aced her exams and quizzes during her high school. Her teachers and classmates adorned her, she's not only brain but her beauty and kindness makes her look like a goddess.

During her last year in high school, she fell in love with her nemesis. It was something that she got embarrassed about at first because that means defeat in terms of attraction towards Yuki.

He's been the only person who can keep up with her about anything. The ranking of top and second was their playground.

Even though Thelize tries to deny it, she's been in love with Yuki since she found out that he can challenge her. She had written almost ten love letters to Yuki which she did not give even after their relationship.

He was her type. He's mature, responsible, smart, kind, funny and most especially his appearance would match a goddess.

Yuki loved her with all his heart. He met her before they even enter high school. It was summer and he got wounded by a glass on the sand while playing at the beach.

Thelize saw him and gave a band aid. She told him stories while waiting for him to feel better.

For the first time, a girl paid attention to him. He's an introvert and of course, he doesn't talk much which girls usually finds boring.

But Thelize talks to him like they already knew each other. She doesn't force him to answer but his opinion matters to her. She tried to make him feel comfortable because she wanted to play with him after his wound won't feel painful.

And they did, they enjoyed the whole day playing and talking with each other. They had the best time.

Both of them felt special. Thelize played with someone who she doesn't even know for the first time.

She usually plays with her friends who would ask for favor after which are mostly about assignments and projects. Her friends are friends for benefit. They see Thelize as a doll who they can play with whenever they need something. She's always used for something.

Yuki played with someone who doesn't judge him. She's the most comfortable and happiest person he has ever been with.

They both changed during their high school. Thelize became more open to people.

Her motto is: Use people who use you.

And she did, her friends used her while she used them. To avoid feeling alone, she drags her friends where ever she goes and makes them pay mostly for what they will do which is usually karaoke. Her friends then will ask her to do some of their assignments.

She sees her relationship as business. They pay for the things she likes and she helps them. Sadly, her friends are true during her high school. They did not feel any resentment towards her whenever she asks them to pay because they know what happened to her before. They loved paying for her happiness because she really does help them with their weaknesses.

Yuki became open as well. He gathered a lot of friends. He's been into numbers of debate contests. He's the campus friend. His introverted side became a secret which hunts him everyday after class. He becomes stressed and depressed. To distract himself from his own secrets, he focused on his academic and extracurricular. This made him able to reach Thelize.

During their relationship, everything was perfect but the competition was still there. It got broken when the result of Thelize found out that she's the salutatorian and Yuki's the valedictorian.

Both of them then started to deal with their own selfishness. Thelize got angry with Yuki while he deals with his depression.

It's true that people should not decide when they feel strong emotions.

They ended their relationship while Thelize is angry about her defeat and Yuki's in dilemma about who he is.

They forgot why they were in the relationship. They balanced each other's flaws. They gave each other importance. They made each other believe that who they are does not depend on how other people see them. Both of them were the child they were when they're with each other.

She graduated as a salutatorian, he graduated as the valedictorian. They graduated together but welcomed another chapter of their life separately.

After their graduation day, they never heard about each other anymore.

Everyone expected Thelize to choose a medical course because of her grades which perfectly fits to create a doctor and she did.

She took Nursing but during her second semester on her second year, she decided to shift because she can't find passion to be a nurse.

She once again choose a course, this time she took Engineering but before she even finish her first year, she decided to shift once again because of the same reason.

Then, she stumble upon the same problem for another three years for another three courses.

On her second semester during her second year while taking her fifth course, she finally accepted that her life will be messed up.During the last course, she decided finally to be a .... NEET.

Her perfectionist self finally died.

She lives under her older sister, Bless, who works as a teacher on a Kindergarten school while she plays and watches all her life out.

She's smart but she gave up. She's pretty but she's sad. She's kind but her heart's broken.

Her sister wanted to help her but she doesn't help herself. Bless is definitely blessed because she has a high salary which can help both of them live comfortably.

"Hey, dinner's ready~" her sister knocked on her door. It's past 9 P.M. and she's still sulking about her life.

"Kay!" She looked at her phone and there's a new message from her old friend Vivy.

'Hey! Want to go karaoke? My treat! 8 P.M. at Quantum Arcade! See youu!'

She saw it earlier but after rereading it, it hit her.

'This girl asks for my help about homeworks and such but look at her now, she's a Dentist.'

She sighed before going out of bed.

"Hey, Thelize. I need to buy something at the grocery, I'll be fast. So, wait for me."

The door downstairs closed. Her sister went out without her answer.

"You can ask me to buy it for you instead, I don't want to be a full blooded freeloader here."

She stands up but she suddenly stepped on something and when she opened the light, she saw that her room's full of trash. Water bottles everywhere, papers scattered around and bag of chips are under her bed.

"God, I need to clean."

She picked up some trash and threw them on the trash downstairs.

The table's full of her favorite foods with desserts. Bless loves to cook. Even though she's tired with all her work, she will find a way to cook.

While waiting, Thelize decided to watch T.V. She lays on the couch while her head's tilted to watch.

"Do I live my everyday like this? I look so lazy! I was not lazy! I am not lazy! I am..."

She kicks the air while pulls her hair. Her tears then started to flow.

"I am... I don't know what's happening to me."

Her sobs covered the sound of the T.V. It was much louder than what she was watching. She cries while covering her eyes, trying to keep her tears in her eyes.

Thelize spent most of time the past days crying. Her old friends are reaching out to her. They didn't know that she never finished her college. They thought that she's a doctor now.

"They're all successful now while I'm a NEET. I just messed up on one thing. I just didn't know who I am. I didn't know what I want. It's just that. It's just that decision but nothing changed it's still the same."

She cried and cried until her eyes felt numb and puffy but she noticed the time.

"What's taking her so long?"

The grocery's near their house and it wouldn't take her 30 minutes to buy the things she needs. Thelize suddenly felt nervous so she went upstairs to her room and took her phone to call her sister.

After a few call attempts, her sister never answered any of her call. Her nervousness grew louder and louder.

"Where is she?"

She took a jacket and ran outside to the grocery stores. It didn't took her 3 minutes to arrive to the grocery store.
