63 Divinity

Detection covered a larger area now, it was easy to find where the elves were hiding. Jim headed over while checking his status in further detail.

[Remove Seal - Partial]

[1,000 Divinity Required]

'I need to refine more pills soon, let's get the elves across the border first.' Reaching the hideout, it was a sorry sight. Over 2,000 elves were stuffed into a cave, many were injured or malnourished, wearing tattered clothing and trembling in fear. The feeling of despair was heavy and stifling.

Jim: "Talia."

Talia: "Huh? You..."

Jim: "You've heard from Celes that my appearance changed before, right?"

Talia: "Yeah...Its shocking to see it in person though. You were a goblin less than a day ago. Now you're younger than the first time I met you."

Jim: "I've got a way to get everyone across the border."

Talia: "What!?"

Jim: "Watch."

Jim activated his stealth abilities and suddenly vanished from sight, the elves on guard were startled and went on alert. Appearing again, Jim spoke up.

Jim: "See? Using this, we can walk right past them."

Talia: "Hold on, I need to talk with the others."

Opening Cooking Assist and Refining Assist, Jim took the time to cook up some Oatmeal for the elves and Brain Boost for his consumption later.

Talia came back after 2 hours.

Talia: "We've decided to go with your plan."

Jim: "Alright, we'll go after eating."

Talia: "Eating? We don't have much to spare..."

Jim: "Here."

Jim withdrew some bowls and spoons along with the oatmeal.

[Congratulations Host, Someone Has Enjoyed Your Cooking, 201 Points Awarded]

[Host's Divinity Increased By 1]

'Mm? Why am I gaining Divinity?' As the people ate, his stockpile of points and divinity kept increasing. Strangely, Jim began seeing lights shining around the elves after a while. 'The hell?'

Soon after, it crossed the 1,000 mark, he activated Remove Seal - Partial. Doing his best not to show the pain he was experiencing, Jim sat there apparently just staring into space.

After another feeling of intense relief, Jim felt power surging through his body. '10,000 for the next seal removal? I can take down a behemoth on my own now. Still not enough to teleport between worlds.' Jim noticed the lights were gone.

Jim: "Alright, is everyone ready?"

The many elves got on their feet and nodded.

Jim: "We'll go immediately then."

Activating Companion Storage, he sent all of them inside. Then, activating stealth, he used ground shrink to approach the monster barricade. Seeing it up close was rather stunning, dozens of behemoths, hundreds of thousands of ogres and goblins, a variety of grotesque beasts prowled around. Occasional bloody fights broke out between the unruly crowd, seeing their savagery, Jim couldn't help but wonder how they could be kept together here for years.

Jim subconsciously moved carefully while moving between the gaps between the monsters. Getting uncomfortably close to an ogre, he nearly gagged from the stench. Keeping Body Movement working, Jim had to go through some narrow gaps between the packed monsters. Carefully regulating his breathing so as not to make much sound, Jim reached the other end of the barricade.

'I don't think I could take all of them, my body is too weak for my cultivation realm. If my body art fails in the middle of combat, I may die instantly.' Continuing south, a tall stone wall came into sight. Some of the stone men he had left behind were standing guard outside. Reaching his mind towards them, he re-assumed control. Of the 50 he had left, 9 were entirely broken. Most of the others had lost limbs and needed repairs.

Some of them were further south guarding Amgula City. 'Looks like the village I built for the foxes has increased in size considerably.' Gaius seemed to have kept his word, the foxes hadn't been moved out of their homes and didn't look like they had been mistreated. Plenty of houses and stores were built around the area though, the place had turned from a village into a full city.

Jim headed to the gates and directly entered. The guards didn't notice him with his stealth still activated. Wandering around, he took in the sight of the place. The people seemed relatively happy, despite the impending horde of monsters not far away. Business seemed to be booming Jim could spot Clothing Stores, Blacksmith Forges, and Streetside Vendors.

Heading to the center of the city, Jim found the houses he had originally set up. Several foxes were outside chatting. Walking up to a handsome young man, Jim greeted him.

Jim: "Torka, it's been a while."

Torka: "Jim? Mom! Jim's back!"
