The largest problem in his life has been this crippling disability, he could hardly go outside, even if he did he couldn't do much, hours could be spent trying to work up the courage to talk to someone with the chance passing by. Jim had gotten used to the feeling of emptiness and helplessness, but a sudden skill generated by this weird system shined a light on a new path.

Arriving at the Public Library, he headed inside, wondering which subject to tackle first he decided on technical skills, something he could put to use immediately.

Spending two hours, Jim had tackled every single subject he could think of, Programming, Electrical Engineering, Construction, Woodworking, the amount of information crammed in his head exceeded what he thought originally humanly capable, with a pounding migraine to match.
If there was a single noteworthy trait Jim had, it was persistence, when he set his mind to something he wouldn't stop until it was done, after the headache cleared up he got back to learning, the library was closing and he hadn't gotten through half of it, but he was satisfied for now.

After a bit thinking, he realized he had obtained 9 skills, if obtaining a skill caused him to gain 10 points, where did the last 100 come from...? "Whatever, I'll figure it out later", Just when he was going to start looking at the categories further the oven dinged.
