1 Chapter 1: The Bailian Empire

A lady approached the throne room with 8/10 of her subordinates to seek an audience with the king.

Two particular subordinates stood before the doorway to the throne room. Rinayama arrived before the King.

She and her subordinates then bowed before him.

Two catgirl maids stood by each side of the king. They were armed with muskets to guard him.

Rinayama: "Lord Mihokayo, I await your orders and shall crush all forces if you give me the word."

Mihokayo:" The locals in the east have reported that the eastern capital's port town is currently having twice the usual shipments than usual for a month now."

One of the Catgirls went before the king and took an orb from her inventory then started showcasing 6 events where 2 ships usually arrive each day but upon the 4th footage within her orb, the ships have doubled.

Upon seeing the evidence herself, she approached the catgirl and collected the orb.

Rinayama: "I will do my best Lord Mihoyama."

She saluted the king before turning around to her subordinates.

Rinayama:" Lieutenant General Sanarabi and Major General Nori, we are heading out towards Hindunhu."

They all started leaving the throne, two of Rinayama's servants who opened the throne room doors for their commander.

Rinayama made a right and those under her command followed closely behind. All of this is pointless. We don't need to see the very specific direction they took. Just exit the throne room and head to the portal

They walked for a while until arriving at the stairs which lead towards the hallway before the point of entry and leaving.

So everyone continued towards the portal doorway.

12 minutes later, Rainayama and her team arrived at their destination then opened and closed the door.

Female Soldier:" Commander Rinayama, how long till we reach the only portal in our nation."

Rinayama:" We are just 1 hour from the location so let's head right like we usually do before Fuchiko objects."

So they headed right until one hour had passed so each member of the Rinayama team started looking around the area before entering their homeland park.

Everyone entered the park and noticed the portal has some weeds growing upon it.

'Guess it has been 100 years since we last used the portal but I hope Antel Lily will return soon to lead our nation.' Nori taught.

Rinayama approached the weeds and drew her sword and used her unique skill: Rare sword master which made her attacks seem like a flash yet no one noticed anything but diced up weeds before them.

Rinayama and her team approached the portal then began using their mana to activate the portal.

They all reached Hindundu, everyone started walking left from their current location.

As some time passed Rinayama along with her team reached the port town's city center.

To their surprise, many locals are going up and down as usual.

Sanarabi:" Commander, try the northeastern sector where the slums are said to have grown in population due to 20,000 Elves and Dwarfs arriving 1 week ago."

Rinayama made a hand gesture towards Sanarabi which prompted Sanarabi to activate her pocket dimension and search for the letter in question.

Sanarabi found the letter then gave her what she asked for.

Rinayama read the letter in detail and started heading forward with her team until everyone saw buildings that appear poorer when compared to the rest of the town of Hindundu.

So they started looking for a path to enter the slums, after a few minutes of searching.

They found a path but Rinayama along with her team encountered carriages with strange appearances.

Curious Nori approached the carts, she found M1 grands along with Bazookas.

Nori went and rejoined Rinayama, as they all entered the center of the slums, many foreign merchants seem to be leaving one building called Slum management.

Nori grew worried so she went beside Rinayama to inform her.

Nori:" Strange activity is going on within this area commander."

After hearing Nori, everyone prepared for the fight for their lives.

Upon passing the management building there was nothing but a local guard with M4 Shermans and M1 Garands.

Nori went in front and made a circle hand sign which caused everyone to search the area.

Rinayama stood in one location to get information from her team.

One of the members entered 10 buildings with a strange number of guards.

Upon entering the building and using life detection, the magic-users used the mana from the world.

They found 96,000 troops total in the building they entered.

After searching the area, Nori and the others started reporting what they had found.

Shocked and horrified, she headed towards the slum management area.

Rinayama opened and closed the door then angrily approached Shihomi.

Shihomi:" So you found out about troop size."

She shook her head and drew her sword which caused two teams of firemen to appear.

Shihomi:" I have done nothing wrong, just enter the deepest depths of the Baal mines and you will find that 80% of our so-called fellow humans kidnap 2% of us each month just to drain our blood and return us like livestock, so would you kill me or find the truth."

Rinayama placed her sword back and calmly left the building.

Her 3 of her teammates are just arriving so they are waiting until midmorning and everyone is back together.

After passing a building, Rinayamad detected 40,000 locals with Thompsons nearby.

She and her team ignored the presence and headed back to Baal.

As they reached outside of the slums, a carriage seemed to be passing by so Fuchiko whistled which prompted the carriage driver to stop.

They approached the carriage and entered it, the driver smiled as if he was glad to have them.
