7 Something Else

I walk to the other side of the room to see a slumped over body in the corner. I slowly make my way over to the body and bend down keeping my hands ready. I lift it's head and the eyes were literally rolled to the back of its sockets. I quickly drop the locks I was holding onto and feel strands come with my fingers and panic to get them off. I notice a pool of dried blood on the left side of the body and a dark line as to where it was coming from. The neck. Four or more bites from what I could make out from the wound.

How did this happen? What were they from? I know. From those marks, the most cliche thing would be vampires. But god, lets hope it's not vampires.

I step away from the body and straighten up wiping my hands on my jeans. I turn toward the door and it was still intact. I let out a sigh of relief as I explore the rest of the room. Mostly just a plain room, except the body, till I found more of them.

I open the closet and multiple body bags fall out onto the floor since they were stacked up on top of each other. I gag and almost throw up at the sight of it. And the stench wreaked as well. I step away from the bags and cover my mouth. I close my eyes trying to organize my thoughts...when I feel a hand clench my shoulder.

I snap my eyes open and step away from the figure behind me and turn rapidly on the balls of my feet. The eyes that were rolled back came rolling back into place to stare at me with complete and utter hunger. I shuffle backwards trying to get away as fangs are visible inside the monsters mouth.

I feel my legs and hands shake while this creature stalks towards me with a look that they were starving. Their eyes dilate before lunging at me with their clammy hands latching onto my wrist and arm. I scream at the top of my lungs as it tries to use the strength that it's gathered so far to entrap me so I could be their blood bag for the night.

Twisting and turning to get out, pushing and struggling for my life. But the godly grip of a starving vampire was too much for me to handle. My heart beat rapidly increased then ceased when two pricks attack my neck which followed with a sharp pain. I opened my mouth to scream but nothing came out.

Their fangs sunk deeper into my skin while their fingers left bruises where they held my human body. Excruciating pain flowed from my neck and throughout my body almost enough to paralyze my nerves but not quite.

The feeling of blood flowing down the neck and chest, soaking your shirt till it's drenched. Trickling across your skin as your senses start to fade and falter. The loss of blood taking a toll on your body as your eyes droop and black spots start to scatter your vision and disorient you. The sucking sensation as the being attached to your neck sucks the life out of you, pun intended. That's what I was experiencing at that moment.

Then the door barges open, and splinters scatter everywhere cutting and scraping every surface. The vamp hisses in pain as the splinters penetrate its pale skin and unlatches itself from me. I could barely lift my hand to cover the wound on my neck before slumping to the ground and onto my side. Trying to focus on staying awake was a mildly hard challenge to uphold. The dresser that blocked the doorway was in pieces while the door was obliterated but no use of explosives did the damage.

I hear a snap from close by and try to look but the strength to keep my eyes open would have been wasted if I had turned my head. Strong arms scoop me up into an embrace before stepping out of the room while the darkness seeped in, enveloping my sight and thoughts.

Warmth surrounded my body, sheets covering my body from which I could tell by the feeling on my skin. I slowly open my eyes and met darkness around the room except the light of the moon shining through the window. My heart skips a beat thinking I slept in this demented house and that I wasn't going to see my mom tonight. She's probably worried sick.

I lift up my head but shake from insufficient strength and flip it back down on the pillow below it. I huff from not being able to move looking around the room. What room was this? Why did Sebastian, if that's even his name, put me in a room if I was just food to him?

A knock sounds from the other side of the door and a calm voice adds to it. "Jade? You awake? Can I come in?" It was the voice of a woman, but I bet this place is filled to the brim with vampires and there might be one at my door.

"Who's speaking?" I choke out from the bed and the door opens revealing a petite woman in nice but not elegant clothes and approaches the bedside. "My name is Martha and I'm here to help you get ready for the Master." She admits stepping to the closet to pull outfits out for me to wear.

Wait.

What?!

I try to get up but my body doesn't let me and I let out a irritated huff and she turns to look at me. "Still not strong enough? It'll be fine I'll help you into your clothes." She states and I panic not wanting to be in this situation any longer.
