1 Chapter one- Book

I woke up again to the sound of clashing swords. The threatening sound echos in my head as if it were real, as if a battle between two opponents begun and took place in my room.

I turned my head in seek of my phone, I picked it up.

8:45 AM

I sighed and decided that I'd rather stay in bed then get up and start studying for my upcoming exams.

This wasn't the first time I've heard such things, it occurred to me that anything war related, I'd usually see and hear before I wake up which is disturbing in a way since I don't like war.

War only leads to destruction and great losses. My dad would always tell me how he fought bravely for his country and how even though he was terrified of what might happen he'd still go out and fight.

When I was newly experiencing these things I felt like talking them out to my dad or more likely, explain to him that I too have an idea about war and as if living through it everyday, though small glimpse's and momental sounds, I was stupid enough to believe I knew war.

(brief flashback)

"Dad." I walked up to him happily smiling

"Yes son." He was busy organizing files on his desk and filling documents.

"I know." I giggled swinging left and right feeling enthusiastic about my discovery.

"Know what?" He looked up, giving me his attention.

"War." I said proudly.

He took a deep breath and smiled sadly at me.

"Really I do!" I claimed. "I've seen multiple images of armed soldiers running to fight and some planning for another battle while others implant some kind of explosives!" I tried to explain.

"Stop." He said but I continued.

"I've heard the voices, giving out orders, the gun shots, the swords, the -

"That's enough!" He yelled. "You've been clearly watching too many movies based on them."

I shook my head wanting to deny him but he silences me. "You don't know what war is, and I hope you never will have to know it because trust me once you do, you won't be smiling like that while telling its tales."

(present)

I got off my bed after a hour of trying to return to sleep. I head to the public library in hopes of finding the book I asked about last week.

"Go search in the historical genre." The lady said while typing on her computer.

"But I specifically asked for it."

"Look I don't work here. I'm just filling in for the day so I don't know about your stupid book nor do I care. Go look for it yourself."

What a bitch.

While searching through many books I find a very old huge book. Dust covered the book like it was it's second layer. I blew on it in order to reveal it's title.

"Lost Era." I read out loud, I flipped through it's pages, it's papers rough and crumply in a way. A note slipped out and fell to the floor. I picked it up.

"Beyond the skies, out of reach

A hidden truth you seek

What lies ahead, a journey

a new discovery, a lost piece."

I furrowed my eyebrows at the vague words, trying to make sense or comprehend it's meaning. Suddenly a golden light emitted out of each letter and with the immense bright light I vanished.

To where?

I asked myself the same.
