3 Map Of The Gu World

Note: If you have read Reverend Insanity than this chapter is optional

Gu World

The Gu world is divided into five major regions, namely Southern Border, Western Desert, Northern Plains, Eastern Sea, and Central Continent. Their name denotes their general direction in the Gu world with Northern Plains being in the north, Southern Border being in the south, and so forth. Alone Northern Plains has an area of roughly 5,000,000,000 km² (5 billion km2). It is not explicitly stated how large the other regions are, however, if each region has around the same amount of area, then the total Land area of the entire Gu world would be around 25 billion km2. Each region possesses a regional wall.

Furthermore, the Gu world possessed nine heavens at one point of time but only two exist in the current time period, namely black heaven and white heaven. Black heaven's and white heaven's positions alternate during night and day. To enter them one has to go through the heavenly wind qi wall which, similar to the regional walls, separates the two remaining heavens from the five regions.

The Gu world is inhabited by humans, variant humans, beasts, and plants.

Every Region is surrounded by a regional wall that separates the region from the other adjacent regions. The walls seem to extend all the way up to black heaven and white heaven, as well as far beneath the earth and have a certain range/thickness that extends quite some way.

Every human, variant human, plant, or beast born in the five regions, experiences a suppression based on their strength when passing a regional wall. The greater the strength or cultivation rank, the greater the suppression of the being, mortal beings don't experience a suppression, while those of immortal level do.

If a Gu Immortal wants to travel from Southern Border to Central Continent they have to pass through at least two regional walls. To get from Southern Border to Northern Plains one has three possibilities by passing through Southern Borders regional wall and then passing through one of the three regional walls of the chosen region (Eastern Sea, Central Continent, or Western Desert) after that one has to pass another two regional walls, that of the region one chose as well as Northern Plains regional wall.

The regional walls are ever-changing and have places where the suppression is weaker, making it easier to pass through them. The suppression is felt by the beings as having a hard time moving inside a regional wall. Gu Immortal's immortal apertures can also be affected and their foundation sustaining damage especially when using Gu or killer moves.

Gu, however, themselves aren't suppressed by the regional wall and can traverse them without hindrance.

Cultivation

Cultivation is divided into mortal and immortal cultivation. Mortals who manage to open their aperture are, henceforth, called Gu Masters. They nourish their aperture walls and destroy them repeatedly until reaching the peak of mortal cultivation. They can decide to attempt immortal ascension and become an incomparably more powerful Gu Immortal.

Becoming a Gu Immortal is extremely hard, it depends not only on resources, talent or determination but also on luck and meticulous preparation. To advance to a Gu Immortal, the mortal Gu Master needs to gather and fuse the three elements of immortal ascension, the elements refer to the qi of heaven, earth, and man/human. If either of the three aspects is insufficient or out of balance, the mortal Gu Master would die and their soul would dissipate. Because of this most mortal Gu Masters decide to remain at the peak of the mortal realm (rank 5) or at least postpone their breakthrough until they have sufficiently prepared. The Gu Master can obtain the inspiration of heaven and earth if they concentrate and formulate a specific question during their ascension (a question that is too broad or unspecific, will likely yield a generalized or unspecific answer rendering this opportunity wasted and the now ascended Gu Immortal not (much) smarter than before).

Breakthrough Mortal realm to Immortal realm (Three Elements of Immortal Ascension) :

The mortal Gu Master must completely crush their mortal aperture, accepting the nurturing of nature's heaven qi and earth qi, the more heaven qi and earth qi is accepted, the higher chance of succeeding. The Heaven Qi and earth qi must be balanced and must be equal to each other.Accepting the mortal Gu Master's own accumulation and life's experiences, the deeper the understanding of the mortal Gu Master in regards to his accumulations and understanding of his own path is, the more human qimortal Gu Master would generate. (Note: Human qi is the sum of the Gu Master's own accumulation. The Gu Master's battle strength, toughness of their physical body, the depth of their soul, familiarity with Gu Worms, understanding of heaven and earth, awareness of their own nature as well as luck, talent, aptitude, fortuitous encounters, insights and so on would transform into human qi when advancing to Gu Immortal.).After balancing the heaven qi and earth qi, the mortal Gu Master must also balance the human qi as well together with heaven qi and earth qi. Once the three elements have gathered and are equally balanced, the mortal Gu Master would have a higher chance of advancing to Gu Immortal.During the ascension, the Gu Master has to undergo an earthly calamity and a heavenly tribulation. If the mortal Gu Master successfully passes the earthly calamity and heavenly tribulation, the Gu Master's previously crushed space of the mortal aperture would give birth to an immortal aperture, where a blessed land would form. The Gu Master's primeval essence would be replaced by beads of immortal essence. Any leftover heaven and earth qi can be used to refine mortal rank 5 Gu to immortal level, depending on the volume of the remaining qi, one or more Immortal Gu can be refined.

Cultivation Realm (Immortal)

Gu Immortals have 4 realms, from the bottom (rank 6) all the way up to the top (rank 9). Every rank is considered a big realm, and Gu Immortals no longer advance through the 4 smaller realms as mortal Gu Masters do. The prowess of Gu Immortals depends on the total number and strength of calamities and tribulations undergone, for example, if a rank 6 Gu Immortal has successfully passed two heavenly tribulations and a total of 27 earthly calamities, it's considered that the Gu Immortal achieved the peak of rank 6.

Mortal Level Rank 1 to Rank 5

Immortal Level Rank 6 to Rank 9

Blesses Land

After a Gu Master successfully ascends and becomes a Gu Immortal a small separate world made up of dao marks[1]and called a blessed land, will form inside their immortal aperture. A blessed land generally does not occupy space in the outside world yet is providing abundant space inside of it. The size or grade of the blessed land corresponds with the accumulations of the Gu Master before becoming a Gu Immortal. The primeval essence inside it is often dozens of times thicker and denser than in the outside world.

The time flow inside a blessed land is most often many times that of the outside world, for example, a blessed land with a time ratio of 1:30 would mean that if a day passes in the outside world, 30 days would pass inside the blessed land

blessed lands are divided into four grades according to the space they provide: small grade, medium grade, large grade, and super grade. The grade is determined by the attainment and accumulation of a Gu Master. A Gu Master with a high attainment level in their chosen path would receive a higher grade blessed land than one with a lower attainment level. Small ≤ 2,000≤ km²

Medium 2,700 - 4,000 km²

Large 4,700 - 6,000 km²

Super 6,700 - 13,000 km²

Immortal Fetus Gu

Immortal Fetus Gu, the Gu Master needs to put their soul into the Sovereign Immortal Fetus Gu. With that, the new body would be born with a cultivation base of Rank 6 and attain the Sovereign Immortal Body and Aperture.
