Chapter 2402 Spectral Soul Attacks

"Oh?" Fang Yuan and Giant Sun inspected Zhao Lian Yun.

Feeling the pressure of 2 Venerables made Zhao Lian Yun quiver but she held firm, mostly thanks to Genesis Lotus and Star Constellation dispelling the pressure.

Giant Sun was actually the first to notice: "Love Gu's successor eh."

"Interesting." Fang Yuan rubbed his chin: "Your name is Zhao Lian Yun, correct?"

Zhao Lian Yun's eyes were brimming with hate towards Fang Yuan, her lover's killer.

At the name of her lover, she instantly jolted to attention.

Refusing to give an inch to Fang Yuan she just nodded, while secretly trying to activate Love Gu.

"Love Gu take as much as you want! Just bring Ma Hong Yun back to me from Fang Yuan!"

Zhao Lian Yun was attempting to bargain with Love Gu, but instead of acting it just sat there refusing to obey her commands.

"Why!?"

Noticing the disappointment in her eyes Fang Yuan could guess what she was attempting: "Keke don't bother trying, Love Gu will not be able to take Ma Hong Yun from me…because I don't have him!"

These words shocked not just Zhao Lian Yun but Giant Sun and, Star Constellation.

"Hehe, before you all start your wild speculations let me tell you where he is." Fang Yuan pointed towards the Stone Continent!

Fang Yuan's voice contained immense power and shook Zhao Lian Yun a little, but she still held firm in front of her lover's killer.

Giant Sun and Fang Yuan both step forth to the spatial tunnel that Star Constellation and Genesis Lotus had created.

With that Feng Jiu Ge, Ying Guang Xin [1], Light Emperor, and Zhao Lian Yun boarded the Myriad Year Flying Warship and sailed through the spatial tunnel.

Genesis Lotus, Star Constellation, and Giant Sun used their might to keep the tunnel open.

"Hmph, once they are through, we can minimize the expenditure of energy by just barely maintaining the tunnel's existence." Genesis Lotus said.

Fang Yuan was leisurely enjoying himself as he brewed tea and sat in the air.

"Hmph, friend Fang Yuan you seem to be enjoying yourself," Star Constellation made a snide comment.

Fang Yuan ignored her and took out a black book.

The book was completely black, and nothing could be seen on its cover except the words: "The Naughty Venerable: Photoshoot Edition."

Seeing the book Star Constellation turned livid and Genesis Lotus and Giant Sun turned away.

Fang Yuan continued to taunt her by seemingly turning the page while enjoying tea, making leisurely comments, and all-around pissing off Star Constellation.

However, the latter could not lose focus while the others were traversing the spatial tunnel.

After all, Painting Path turned illusory into reality, but it worked of Star Constellation's imagination of the layout.

Even though she was the number 1 in Wisdom Path, this was still a Venerable level artifact, and it was tough to get through every security feature and detail.

A big enough disturbance would cause the entire tunnel to collapse…

A loud explosion followed by the sounds of glass shattering could be heard.

The 4 Venerables looked up and saw a pair of claws breaking into the River of Time.

Once the pair made a big enough hole, more and more joined to rip the whole open bigger!

"Tch, still alive?"

Fang Yuan kept his tea and book and turned to see a giant Spectral Soul, with 3 heads and a thousand arms, ripping into the River of Time.

"Spectral Soul seemed to have lost his rationality again," Giant Sun said.

"No, it's different, that's nothing more than a puppet formed from a little bit of Will and Soul Dao Marks, I estimate it carries about 2 million Soul Path Dao Marks at least!" Star Constellation was busy maintaining the tunnel and could not give a deep analysis.

He also wasn't worried for Ying Guang Xin as she could always use Freedom Gu to escape.

Ever since she joined his aperture, he had worked on a few killer moves that revolved around Freedom Gu and Responsibility Gu.

The first was Responsibilities Follow No Matter Where You Go

This move actually emulated Information Path and allowed the user to communicate with others linked through Responsibility Gu, even though it still had a limit it was much better than just Responsibility Gu's raw ability.

The second move was Nothing Can Hold Me Down

This move used Freedom Gu and would allow a Gu Immortal to break free from any binding or restrictions.

The last move was Great Freedom Travel

Using both Fixed Immortal Travel and Freedom Gu this Killer Move allowed the Gu Immortal to travel anywhere they have been no matter if there is a restriction on space!

Fang Yuan created the first move as a sort of leash for Ying Guang Xin, with the pretenses of 'open communication'.

The second and third moves guaranteed her safety.

Fang Yuan was sure she could not betray him due to both Fairy Zi Wei and the Alliance Oath but as an extra precaution, the move only works on places the person has visited with Freedom Gu.

Which only left the Myriad Fusion Color Beast World which was in Fang Yuan's aperture.

Fang Yuan thought to himself: "Hmm, it seems that Spectral Soul has not fully recovered and had no intention to join this escapade so why is he trying to hinder it all of sudden…"

Under the light of Wisdom Gu, Fang Yuan's clone began to deduce.

"Why is Spectral Soul seemingly just lashing out? He only arrived after we sent in our…that's it! He only attacked after we sent in our members because he wants them dead! And the only person he could possibly want dead is Ying Guang Xin!"

Fang Yuan had figured it out!

Originally, 'Spectral Soul' was not going to participate as his interest and Red Lotus's matched up somewhat so he left his plans alone.

But the moment he saw that Ying Guang Xin was involved…

He began making plans.

"I can't allow for Fang Yuan to continue having Ying Guang Xin, she is a major obstacle for my plans, she needs to die!"

Heaven's Will urged the rampaging Spectral Soul to fight harder, he sent more Dao Marks from Spectral Heaven into the thousand arm Spectral Soul.

The increase in Dao Marks led the thousand arm Spectral Soul to increase the strength of his attacks!

"Interesting," Fang Yuan thought to himself: "To think he cares this much about Ying Guang Xin, hehe that makes me want to keep her more!"

The other 3 Venerables were shocked.

"If Fang Yuan gained higher attainment in Soul Path, what would it look like?"

They all began to become more cautious about their paths and consciously planned to keep their paths a closely guarded secret.

Heaven's Will was not impressed.

He knew that the only reason Fang Yuan could exert so much force over the thousand Spectral Soul was that it was more like a Soul Beast rather than a person.

It held no attainment and thus, could not fight back.

With Fang Yuan's, comparatively, weak attainment in Soul Path even an Ordinary Attainment Gu Immortal would be able to move, with great difficulty, much less a Supreme Grand Master.

But this move's potential did startle Heaven's Will somewhat.

"I need to kill this kid before he gets too out of hand, he's easily the most brilliant Otherworldly Demon apart from."

Thinking of this person's name caused Heaven's Will to rarely lose his composure and get mad:
