8 Negative Qi

Fang Yuan was heading somewhere, to be more precise he was looking for a place.

He already had a plan in mind, all he needed to do now was find the right place. This plan was very important to him because it was directly related to the Liquor worm.

In the middle of his journey Fang Yuan started to think. 

'What is my level of attainment exactly ?, Is it really Master ?'

Fang Yuan himself doubted himself, he didn't know how to measure the attainment level.

In the story it is written that the Master level can generate initiative. Fang Yuan can generate initiative, but can it be called Master level?

Fang Yuan tried to think about it, but came to no conclusion.

The only thing he understood was that he was a tiger, without eyes, without mouth, without nose, without ears, without claws, and without stripes, even after all that. He felt he was just the shadow of that imperfect tiger.

Fang Yuan could think of various ways to use Gu, but he did not know Gu itself.

Like Small Qi Gu, this Gu can absorb, store, and release the Qi it stores. But that is the only limit. But, even though Fang Yuan had various kinds of intuition to use this Gu, he really needed to know more of the Gu related to this Gu.

Attainment in itself is like a special kind of intuition that helps the Gu Master to make the correct choices to solve a problem at hand. The different levels are like the comprehension of mathematical problems and their solutions. By answering many 'mathematics' questions, a Gu Master can accumulate experiences when getting the correct answer, eventually, they will understand the crux of them, gaining enlightenment and raising the Gu Master's attainment level. With newfound comprehension, they can now solve other related 'mathematics' questions more easily. When a Gu Master encounters a very unfamiliar question, they can use their existing knowledge of the other solved problems to answer at least a portion of the unfamiliar question.

Attainment can be gained by slow accumulation during the nurturing and use of Gu but also through true meaning, found in dream realms and inheritances of supreme experts. When the attainment is raised through the latter two methods, the Gu Master needs to accumulate experiences to make full use of their attainment.

So the attainment that Fang Yuan had now was phantom / false-attainment. He had intuition but he couldn't put it into practice due to a lack of experience and information regarding Gus and their properties.

He is like a gun, but without bullets.

He couldn't be of use, for lacking something very important to its existence.

He has intuition, but can't put it into practice.

Fang Yuan then again felt Small Qi Gu within his aperture.

Fang Yuan had already tinkered with this Gu, but what he still understood was still a little.

Fang Yuan was a reader from RI, he was always thinking about how to use Gu.

You only need to flow your primeval essence, it also depends on the type of Gu. There are several Gu that are activated under other conditions.

In Fang Yuan's point of view, Gu's way of working was like this:

First level, activate. Gu Masters only need to channel their primeval essence to a certain Gu, then that Gu will be active.

Second level, use. Not only activating, Gu Masters need to use Gu in the most effective manner according to need or circumstances.

Fang Yuan took out Small Qi Gu to absorb the Qi in this place.

After Small Qi Gu absorbed the Qi, Fang Yuan examined the stored Qi.

This was the first time he had felt this Qi, apart from having the functions of absorbing, storing, and releasing Qi. Small Qi Gu allows the user to feel Qi using this Gu.

In activating Gu, there are three processes; beginning, middle, end.

After further observing Fang Yuan could only separate one type of Qi. It is Yin Qi, this is the grave where the yin Qi is rich.

Yang for day, Yin for night. Yang for life, Yin for death. Yin Qi was cold to the touch and was slightly blue in color. Yang Qi was hot and was orange red. Primeval Qi from the primeval stones was white to colorless and produced a pleasant coolness in the body when absorbed and quickly transformed into a pleasant warmth in the aperture over time and in quantity.

But how did Fang Yuan know that this was Yin Qi?

He found it accidentally.

When he was experimenting, he found that there were several types of Qi that interfered with one another. But there are some specials.

Yang and yin Qi. This Qi repelled each other and also attracted each other at the same time, naturally Fang Yuan was interested in seeing this Qi.

After several experiments, he found out that these were yang and yin Qi.

When he released the first yang Qi followed by the yin Qi, he felt that the hand that hold Small Qi Gu was in was hot, then ended it cold.

This was only Fang Yuan's thinking, but he felt confident.

During the day, the hot Qi will last longer, while at night the cold Qi will last longer.

Fang Yuan had nowhere to ask, he had to conclude the matter himself.

Humans are the spirit of living things. Gu is a fragment of the Great Dao.

Apart from Yin Qi, Fang Yuan was holding back other Qi. He could release a certain Qi, but this was still very difficult.

Small Qi Gu was only Rank 1, moreover, each Gu had a fixed function. These were all the results of Fang Yuan knowing this.

Fang Yuan tried to release the remaining Qi into his hands. This was actually a very dangerous thing, Fang Yuan knew very well of this.

Fang yuan thinks that Gu is a living being, can think and feel emotions, otherwise why do they refuse to be refined ?.

But, this comes with risks. Fang Yuan did not know which Qi possessed this property, because after he took out earth and heaven Qi, along with yang and yin Qi, there was still a lot of Qi left.

If he just used this Qi without sifting it up, maybe it would hurt the Liquor worm, maybe it would melt it down, it was too risky.

Fang Yuan continued his experiments, he used the primeval stones he received from the Akademi elder to continue the experiment.

In the end, he couldn't sort it all out, he just took a bunch of Qi that coiled each other. This Qi did not have a negative effect on Fang Yuan, it only affected his emotions.

Fang Yuan named this Qi, negative Qi.

He found this Qi in the graveyard, he also felt sad emotions, fear, and other negative emotions from this accumulated Qi. But this was the best he could do now.

Fang Yuan knew that this was not enough to tame the Liquor worm, this Qi was very chaotic. Small Qi Gu was only a Rank 1 limited ability, unless Fang Yuan used only one type of Qi, maybe this would work.
