7 Aperture

The Aperture is mysterious and unusual, both located in his body and not. From the outside, it appears small, but when he looked inside, the space is endlessly huge, with dense greenish-blue water giving off a copper lustre.

The entire space is occupied and brimming full by the Green Copper Sea, something only a Rank 1 Gu Master owns.

From this moment onward, Fang Huo officially stepped onto the path of a Gu Master, a Rank 1 Gu Master.

Contrary to his expectations, after awakening the Aperture, he didn't feel a burst of strength or power. Instead, he felt weak due to the process.

With a simple thought, the primeval sea in his aperture tumbled, and a jet of primeval essence broke from the sea, transferring out of his body. A streak of Green Copper Essence came out of his palms and danced in the air. It felt natural and instinctual for him to manipulate the primeval essence.

After playing around with it for a few minutes, he retracted it into his body and decided to march towards the depths of Dome, intending to finish scouting. However, his eyes widened again as he concentrated on his Aperture.

At first, he felt a strange connection with something, thinking it was the closeness he felt with his Primeval Sea. But after getting used to his Primeval Essence, he realized the connection didn't originate from the Primeval Sea but something else within his Aperture.

Inside the Aperture, floating at the center of the Primeval Sea was a flower-like thing: a transparent orb the size of an inch with Nine flat petals with all spectrums of colors surrounding it.

Rank 6 Immortal Gu.

That's the information that came to his mind at the first look. Unlike usual, only the identification of it being a Gu and its Rank came to his mind, not the name of it nor could he remember reading about a Gu of this appearance.

"Wait—isn't that the same color as 'Peaceful Wall of Coexistence'?" His mind went haywire at that thought. The size of the Gu also matches the size of the hole he made on the wall, according to his memories.

"Does that broken piece come along with me and naturally formed into a Gu?" This is the only explanation he could think of and something that resembles close to the truth.

"Damn!" Fang Huo shouted excitedly!

A Rank 6 Vital Gu!

Only Fang Yuan and that Gay kid had something like that in the entire story!

Even though he couldn't identify the Gu and its uses, that didn't diminish his excitement for the possibilities and uses he would have in the future.

After all, even Gu Immortals failed to own a single Immortal Gu their entire lives, even Fang Yuan in his first life. While the latter was because of Heaven's Will, that still didn't override the rarity of Immortal Gu.

"Huo"

"Fang Huo"

"Fang Huo, are you okay?" Qi Dian shouted from behind and woke Fang Huo from his stupor. He is the one who questioned Hei Po when they were asked to scout. A young man in his mid-twenties with long black hair tied in a ponytail.

"Nothing to worry about." Fang Huo gathered himself and responded with a faint smile. However, his smile soon faded as he narrowed his eyes and looked at Qi Dian. Sweating intensely with a tired look and lingering primeval essence around his body.

"It seems Brother Qi Dian successfully awakened your Aperture."

"Hahaha, I was lucky my path didn't have any dangers. Wait! Don't tell me you also opened your Aperture." Sudden realization struck Qi Dian as he asked with disbelief.

'Bro? Why are you getting shocked? Aren't you too full of yourself?'

Fang Huo nodded his head innocently and said, "Yes, Brother Qi Dian, I am fortunate enough to awaken my Aperture and become a Rank 1 Gu Master."

Qi Dian walked up to him and patted his shoulder. "Hahaha, good! I didn't judge you wrongly. You are indeed talented—"

"Ahhhh" "Ahhhhh"

Before Qi Dian could complete his sentence, they both heard the voice of someone shouting in agony nearby. Because it came from behind them, they rushed to the place in a few minutes.

Only to see two burned bodies lying motionlessly inside a pit.

Qi Dian sweated intensely and asked, "Are they dead?"

"I don't know."

After looking at the corpses for a few minutes and making sure they were dead, Fang Huo departed the place. Qi Dian followed him with a grim face. This could be their outcome if they were not careful.

The death of two 'comrades' didn't spoil his mood. He better than anyone knows what kind of world he is currently living in. If Dog eat Dog and Law of the Jungle is a world, then it is Gu World.

Moreover, he wants the power to survive and appreciate this beautiful world.

After an hour of scouting, they discovered a safe path to cross to the other side and returned to the camp.

Hei Po was surprised to see two people successfully surviving and opening their Aperture. He laughed and told them, "Hehehe, don't worry, our Hei Tribe will reward you for this brave task."

But everyone knows this is just baseless nonsense he spouted to appear magnanimous.

One thing that surprised Fang Huo is that Hei Po didn't ask them or check their Aperture to identify their potential. He even made preparations because of this.

During the time scouting, he split his focus and focused on what kind of Gu his Vital Gu was. While he failed to identify its kind, he did discover something.

If he willed it, the Gu would disappear from the Aperture and appear invisible. But it never went anywhere; he could feel it rotating in the same place, as though it just disappeared from the reality of the Aperture, but existed on the other side he failed to identify.

'Just like the characteristic of that Wall!'

This is the only thing that brought a semblance of peace to his mind. He was ready to expose his Extreme Talent but not the Immortal Gu.

'Exposing an Immortal Gu is the same as asking to get killed.' He smiled wryly in his mind.

The journey commenced normally, and nothing major happened on their way except for some wild beast attacks. The Crocodiles took care of it easily.

By noon, they entered a region of mountains and quarries with immense heat and lava flowing in between. After reaching the east side of the place where there is less heat, they reached a place with hundreds of camps of all sizes and styles laid, few even being a Gu House, which Fang Huo thought of as the residence of superiors.

At the top of a small cliff behind the camps, a flag swayed here and there with the Hei Tribe Symbol and the name of this place,

"Fiery Lava Pit".
