Chapter 31: One should always be steady

Xun Shung carefully focused on the investigative methods, he sensed a rank 4 gu master tailing behind them. He became a little nervous, but calmed his mind and started thinking about his approach on this matter.

He ordered the gu master in front, to turn in random directions after 100m for about 5 times. After travelling for some time, Xun Shung was now certain that the gu master behind them was alone. Now Xun Shung was somewhat confident in his abilities but he didn't put his guard down. He tested the stalker for some more. After travelling for about half an hour he was sure enough.

He said in a low voice, "Boys, activate plan B" as soon as he gave the orders to the slaves. The cart stopped, one of the gu master in Xun Shung's gang came out and shout: "lord gu master, we are just passing by, if we had made any mistakes or offended you in any way then please forgive us, we should not escalate this matter and here are some apology gift from us" saying so he put down a large wooden box and opened it. The stalker gu master saw this and his gaze become heated, the large box had cultivation resources, wines and primeval stones.

Although he was a rank 4 gu master, he was a lone one afterall. The wealth in front of him was enough for him to live for some time peacefully. But then his gaze landed on the slave, he started to think about the greater goods he could get his hands upon.

He said from the shadows: "these gifts are just fine for now, but what about later?" the slave's mouth twitched after hearing this bullshit. Xun Shung now knew that this fella is a unreasonable one.

'why my luck is this bad just after my journey started, I encountered this dumbshit' these were his thoughts.

Now Xun Shung clearly understood the dumb nature of people in cultivation novels, he put his one hand on his forehead for some time, thinking about what to do next. His gaze was clear, he knew unreasonable ones are the problem creators. There's no way to resolve this peacefully.

What if I kill you all here and get all your belongings?"

Xun Shung knew that more talking will just be a waste of time, instead he was secretly happy, their was an indescribable excitement inside his heart. He doesn't want to accept it but it was evident enough that he also wants to get his hands on some fresh blood. In a blink of an eye he came out with all his slaves, the stalker gu master also came out from the shadows.

Xun Shung's gaze follow the gu master's steps. He could see a man in light blue robes, his hairs were black- green in colour, their eyes met and Xun Shung could see his face. He looked like an ugly bastard who came straight from a low grade 'hentai'. The gu master was a rank 4 intial stage and with the gloomy air around him, Xun Shung could guess that he was a soul path gu master.

Xun Shung was standing upright with an unexplainable confidence on his face. But he planning inside his mind, he was surveying the area around him, he made tactics regarding all the problems that he might face and he knew that in a fight between gu masters not only their individual strength but also the respective surroundings and awareness towards it could be a major factor.

He inspects the area which was covered with long trees because of which flying would be tough, the grass was long upto the knees enough to increase breath rate while running continuously, the surrounding area was isolated enough to not let a beast tide form. But the main problem was the wide grin on the gu master's face in front of them.

Xun Shung thought of it while increasing his guard toward him

'the chances of him being alone is upto 70%, the rest 30% can't be confirmed because of his confidence or maybe he had some kind of trump card'

'he could be a lone gu master, so it must be a flying type gu worm or a rank 4 gu for defence or movement'

Xun Shung was sure that the trump card the gu master have, if he had any. Must be a movement type or defense type gu, as any other type of gu than this wouldn't help him survive with enough surity as a demonic gu master. And with the soul path aura he was emitting it could be said that he had a defensive type gu worm with the greatest probability.

The demonic gu master saw Xun Shung and his lips turned to form a cold smile.

Xun Shung could say with a certainity that the gu master in front him is surely not an expert in flying as well. It wasn't a lucky guess but some simple deduction, like the face of this gu master, he looks like a man in his middle age.

If he had looked like a teenager or a man in his 20s than with his rank 4 cultivation, Xun Shung would definitely knew that he has used life extention method or lifespan gu and that means he got enough experience to fight or to have attainment in flying. The next one was,if he had looked like an old man then also the same deduction could be made. But with his rank 4 aura and middle aged look, there was a less chance of him having flying attainment and even if he had any than also it should be not enough to be used in a fight.

But afterall these are all deductions, not the real truth. Maybe the person in front of Xun Shung is a rank 5 instead, who is hiding his true cultivation or he could have master level attainment in flying. It could be anything but Xun Shung could only make deduction on the basis of their short interaction.

Both the parties were observing each other now, Xun Shung said with a low voice: "boys activate plan A"

The fight between the two parties started.
