Slap

Hearing that from the soldier, Jane cursed aloud, "Fuck!" and pretending to regain her manners continued, "Ok, You three come with me, I heard shots just now, and if the radio is out, it means things are out of proportion, lets go to the radio tower." and started turning in the direction of the radio tower.

"But Sir, we have orders to stay here all the time," said the same soldier as before.

Jane turned back, and almost as if shouting, she said, "And now you have new orders, soldier! Or you want to join the traitors in the communal hole outside the walls? Dammit! Don't you got the gravity of the situation? We are without radio!!!! Now! Move your fucking ass or I will shoot you right here and now!"

Hearing the commanding voice of Jane, along with a plausible explanation, the three immediately ran to her and gave a formal salute, as if trying to say that they were under her command now.

Seeing that it worked, Jane started running in the direction of the radio tower and a few behind the three soldiers followed her.

Seeing the figure of Jane and the soldiers disappearing under the dark of the night, Frank looked at the four beggars around the fire and gave a small nod to them. It was time for their part of the plan.

The four beggars took rifles from under their clothes, and seeing their determination, Frank felt happy somehow, not exactly happy, but more like proud, because everyone there knew that they could die tonight.

Frank took his rifle and led the way. They were going to enter the belly of the beast. The research building of the army. They needed to be precise and fast, otherwise more soldiers would come when the shots were heard.

The entire mission was a gamble, a gamble based on the timing of everything. If one part of the plan went wrong, everything would fall apart.

Frank opened the main door of the building and immediately spotted a soldier on the left.

~bang bang~

The soldier was shot in the chest two times while the other rebels along with Frank did the same as him, and in a blink of an eye, four soldiers were dead, bleeding while sliding along the white walls.

"Move!" shouted Frank, doing a motion with his hand for the others to follow him. They could not delay, and the battle was just beginning. There were a lot of soldiers inside the building, and the others would not be caught by surprise like the four they just killed.

...

Meanwhile, in another part of the base.

Jane approached the radio tower and immediately saw two guards outside the small building that barely could be called a building, because it was the size of a small apartment.

"You two! What are you doing standing there like two doors? Don't you know that the radio is off?" asked her pointing her finger to the radio tower above the small building.

The two stunned guys looked at each other as if they didn't know what was happening, and one of them said, "What? How is that? We are here since the dawn and nothing happened!"

Jane approached the guy who talked and gave a slap to his face. "A Bunch of morons! You three break the door and kill anyone inside it, and you two stand behind and watch over!"

The three soldiers that came with Jane immediately hit the door with their shoulders, breaking it, and entered the small room, but what they saw made their furrow their brows because they didn't understand what was happening.

There were three bodies on the floor, all shot on the back of the head.

Realization hit them as they immediately understood what was happening, but it was too late.

~bang~ ~bang~ ~bang~

Their bodies fell to the ground while the walls were painted with red and white, as brain matter gushed from their skulls.

Jane and the two soldiers that stood outside shot the three soldiers on the back of their heads.

"You can come out now," said Jane aloud and John immediately came from inside the cabinet that was in the room.

John grabbed a rifle from one of the dead soldiers and came close to Jane, meanwhile the soldier that go slapped a few seconds ago said, "The slap was really needed, Jane? It still hurting."

Jane turned her head to the man and said, "Oh shut up your pussy, it had to be convincing"

The man shook his head and said, "To the garage now?"

"Yes," said Jane, "I hope they didn't have any trouble there. Did you set up the fireworks, John?" asked Jane, looking at John.

John gave a bright smile as if he was the most lucky person in the world, and said, "It will be beautiful!"

...

The moment that Mark heard shots coming from the corridors outside of his cell, he knew something big was happening, 'It may be my only chance to escape this hole' thought Mark, because he was not sure what was happening, but he had to take advantage of the chaos outside and try to escape.

Mark looked at the two guards that always stood outside of his cell and saw panic on their faces. "Whats happening?" he asked.

The two guards ignored him, but one of them looked at the other and said, "The radio is off. Should we go help them?"

The other guard looked at him and said, "Do you want to go outside? If they can't deal with it, what do you think we can do? The best for us is to stay here and ambush if someone comes."

The other guard gave a nod and went behind the only door that gave access to the cells, while the other guard grabbed a metallic table and put in the middle of the small corridor and crouched behind it.

The door creaked open, and a grenade came flying through it.

"Grenade!" shouted the guard behind the metallic table while protecting his head and hiding behind the table.
