7 Hunter Evaluation

While having breakfast with his new family, his sister stared at him intensely, he ignored it at first but due to his Wisdom attribute his acute sense was heightened to a new level. Thus he was getting more uncomfortable the longer his sister stared at him. Lucas let out a sigh and glanced at his sister who was both eyes open.

"Hey, what are you looking at me so intensely it's making me uncomfortable," Lucas said.

"What! Why do you care if I stare at you, your hair is golden yellow, your eye is also glowing yellow. It's very beautiful and I don't know why but your presence completely changes, it's like you're not the same brother I have before." Selena said as she continue looking at him thinking what exactly happened to her precious brother.

Lucas flinches after hearing the last part of what Selena said.

"What are you talking about? I'm still the same Lucas you've known since birth, I'm your one and only brother in the world, the changes in my presence might be because of my Innate Talent, and it might be because of my talent that the color of my hair and eye change." Lucas said as he thought that it might be because of his Presence attribute that's currently on rank B right now.

"I'm glad that you're still the brother that I know of, sometimes when people receive their Talent their personality and present change as well. Oh! By the way brother may I know your Innate Talent and Attribute?" Selena was glad and happy to hear her brother's reassurance. Selena was also curious about her brother Innate Talent.

"Sure, it was called Momentum. It's basically a power-up that increases my strength while I fight. As for sharing my Attribute, did you forget that I just awaken my power? I have yet to have my 'Circlet Panel'" Lucas replied.

"Oh, I forgot about that, as for your talent it's something like a body enchantment. But in this case. Mom! Dad! Since brother has awakened his power he can attend the 'Battle Academy' right now. Right?" Selena happily said as she was excited for her brother to attend the Academy as she can see her brother there every time she liked.

Mentioning the Battle Academy, Lucas. Read about this on the internet and there is some information about this in his memory as well. It's basically a school but it's only for people who awaken their Talent. In this academy, people who are at the age of 15~18 can enter and continue their studies there. They're being taught how to control and increase their power. The academy also provides a range of helpful manuals for their powers. But in Lucas's case, he cannot enter the Battle Academy due to his age, even if he can he doesn't want to as it will hinder his growth, and instead of helping him, this might become a distraction.

"He can, but the Academy is strict to their rule even if your brother is now awakened, due to his age they might not accept him," Owen said, as he was familiar with the rules of the Academy.

"Your father is correct, Selena. Even if we're able to convince them that your brother is truly awakened there's no guarantee about acceptance of your brother to the academy." Nicole said as she backed up what's her husband said.

"I also thought about that, Selena. There's no need to worry about my situation. I've longed to be a Hunter for a long time and I'm sure that I can handle this on my own, I'm going to register later my name on Hunter Association. You should focus on your study there, you're going to graduate this year correct?" Lucas said.

"If you say so and don't worry about my study and as always I'm on top of my class," Selena said as she proudly smile.

Lucas was also happy as he smiles.

'Now that she mentions it' Lucas thought as he remembers that his sister is something of a genius herself, she was always on top of her class and her power is also one of the best, his sister's powers are leaning towards Magic. Her Innate Talent is called 'Linkage' and her current job is basic 'Mage'. By having this Innate Talent she was able to connect and link to different elements and fuse them with each other, even if the two spells are posing each other she can fuse them without a problem. The only downside is the unbelievable Mana consumption per activation of this Talent.

That's why ever since she gains this Talent she can only activate it once a day due to her current mana capacity. But even so because of this talent her mastery and familiarity over the magic significantly increase,

After a while, Lucas proceed to eat with his family, they talked, laugh, and enjoy the moment while food has been served on the table. Lucas felt happy at the moment yet he felt some lingering emotion that he didn't deserve this family due to what happened. But he just choose to ignore it.

Moments Later...

After finishing his breakfast Lucas made his way to Hunter Association to register his name and get his rank evaluated as soon as possible.

'I hope that they would not find out about his second Talent.' Lucas already knows that the system says that his Innate Talent 'Aspect of Radiant' is currently hidden, but he doesn't want to be complacent, if possible he wanted to hide the fact that he was awakened with two Innate Talent to avoid any trouble.

He then chooses to make his way to Hunter Association near him. Yet on his way, he was able to take a closer look at the city and houses in his area. He's more confident that this is not the same planet he lived in his previous life, but he really likes the atmosphere of this more it's tranquil and calm. Compare to his previous life everywhere he looks there are dead bodies, houses that have been destroyed, gunshots, etc. He quickly felt an attachment to this planet.

'I hope you were able to feel this as well, Detys. I hope that you were with me.' Lucas thought as countless memories with Detys, flashed on to his mind.

It only took him 30 minutes or so and he arrive in front of a building as big as a stadium. 'This is where we're getting evaluated?' Lucas thought he proceeds to enter the building and beside the door, a woman in a suit greeted him, after a while the women personally assist him and lead the way to the reception to register his name, at first they were shocked that Lucas is already 20 years old but he was still able to awaken his Talent. They didn't think much about it and they provided his confirmation number.

'Hmm, they also let their employee personally assist the people coming here. That's great.' Lucas thought, but what he didn't know was that the employee will only tell you where the receptions are. Yet due to his Attribute, he was able to influence the people around him and the woman earlier was attracted to him, that's why she chooses to assist him personally so that Lucas will notice him. But to Lucas, he only appreciate what the woman did but wasn't attracted to her looks at all.

After a while, Lucas's name and his number were called out, he stand right up and proceed to the door at the end of the hall. After he arrive he push open the door and saw a purple ball in the middle of the room with different wirings connected to it, he also notices that there were one man and two women monitoring the main computer connected to the ball in the middle. They also notice Lucas entering the door and the woman proceeded to tell him the instruction.

"Once you're ready please touch that purple ball in the middle and we will do the rest.'" The woman whose name is Lucy said, Lucas then walked towards the middle of the room.

'Just touch it right? I hope everything works well.' Lucas thought he wanted to hide the fact that he had two Innate Talents and as for his Attribute he wanted to suppress his Mentality a little because S+ for a level 1 is unnatural. He moved his hand and touch the ball and a dim light inside the ball appears it was getting stronger and brighter the linger he toches it, then *crack*.

Lucas was actually trying to control his power, because of his experience using the System from his previous life, he was trying to inject his powers on the ball to prevent this from looking through his Attributes and Innate Tallent. When he suddenly heard a cracking noise on the ball. He took a glance and saw that a line of cracks appears on the ball, 'Shit, did I overdo it?' Lucas thought he take a look at the people at the computer and they also heard the cracking noises. Right after that, the light began to dim little by little.

After a moment, Lucy walk towards Lucas and said.

"It may take a moment before your evaluation will appear and be calculated, can you please wait for us and we will call you as soon as possible," Lucy said.

Lucas replied. "Sure, I'll be near the receptions table," Lucas said as he quickly exits through the door, he doesn't want them to know that he was trying to modify his Attribute and prevent their system from exposing his true rank.

"What happened? The ball cracked, we have no stock or backup for the evaluation ball, how can we continue to evaluate the rest of the people outside?"Lucy said.

"I'll reach out to other branches maybe they have a stock on their side. But this situation is not easy to handle." The man said.

"Why's that? By the way, did the result of his evaluation come up?" The other woman replied.

"Yes, I've got his Innate Talent and Attribute, take a look." The man said as he pull up Lucas's result.

"What? An A rank? It might be possible because of his talent since it's a rare growth type class. Also with Wisdom and Mentality as rank A combined it's obvious that the job he will choose is 'Mage' right?" The other women said after taking a look at Lucas's Attributes.

"Yes, he had a WIsdom of rank A and mentality with the same rank, he might possess a large mana, in the future, but what's wrong with this Estimated rank?" Lucy said.

"You two are quite new here and I'm sure that you've only seen this today right? Actually, the evaluation ball can only evaluate a person's rank from E to A. But what if your rank surpasses that?" The man said while both girls were shocked by what the man said.

"That means he's an S-Rank? If that's the case then he's the 4th S-Rank Hunter in our country! That's great news!" Lucy happily said.

"Possibly, but we're not quite sure yet, because the ball cracked while he is in the middle of rank estimation. But in any case, his power should be equal to an A rank." The man said as he smile.

Outside the room, Lucas was currently eating a snack he brought from the vending machine.

'Hmmm, taste great.' Lucas thought as he munch through the bag of chips on his hands.
