3 Chapter 3

Level 1

Right now, we were infront of the main gate of the village of the east. On top of the gate something was written:

'Welcome to Kibou'

We enter the village and as soon as we do, everyone starts looking at us. Which honestly, was not much of a surprise, since we were 20 unknown people for them.

The more we walked the more we had no idea where to go or do.

"Ah I'm tired of this, we have been walking for so long. I'm thirsty." Yelled Nolav.

"It is fine Nolav, I will solve that with my manly juices that are coming out of me from walking this long." I really had no idea whether Diver changed for good or for worse.

"Shut it, disgusting pig. If your IQ grew as much as your body mass, we would've been laying in beds and drinking something cold."

Honestly, everyone would love a cold drink right now, anything, as long as it was cold.

Suddenly a really beautiful woman approached us.

"Hello everyone!"

At that point no one really had the energy to reply to her greeting as cheerfully as she said it.

Except for Nolav.

"OH MY GODDESS, PLEASE SAVE ME FROM THIS HELL." Nolav grabbed her hand and started worshipping her.

She then proceeds to slap him so hard, 4 of his teeth fell out.

"So, I heard that some strange people entered the village today. That must've been you."

"I don't know about strange but, yeah we just got here... around 3 hours ago."

"Ah I see, so you must be travelers, in search of a guild perhaps?"

"Guild?" This word seemed familiar but I wasn't quite sure what it meant, rather I forgot its meaning.

"Yes, the Adventurers Guild. A guild that was founded by our King, in order to protect the people that lived in these villages."

"Protect them from what exactly?"

"Monsters. Outside the walls of the guild there are many creatures that are a threat to the human lives."

"But we did not encounter such monsters on our way here."

"That's because today is the Eternal Day. The day where all weak-type monsters are purified by the sun. Which explains why today is so hot."

"I see, then how do we join the Adventurers Guild?"

"First, everyone should have a class selected from the options available."

Thankfully all of us selected our classes before we even got inside the village.

"Second, you should fill out the application in the Adventurers Guild."

"Then where is this guild?" A sudden question asked by my classmate, Boru.

"Right there." She points at the building next to us. We had somehow not noticed it. There was also a sign that said "Travelers can rest here."

As soon as she pointed everyone got up and entered the building.

The beautiful woman from before went behind the counter, handed us a paper and asked us to fill the information that was necessary to join the guild.

The document we needed to fill was really... very short. The necessary information we needed to fill was:

-Name

-Birthday

-Level

-Class

...and that was it.

After filling it, I handed the document over to her.

She then proceeded to give me another paper.

"You seem like you're the leader of this group. Why don't you create your own guild?"

I grab the paper and start reading it.

-A guild is a group of people that work together to finish the requests the guild has for them.

-A guild can have up to 30 people in it.

There was also some other stuff, like deciding who the leader will be, the guild house, colors etc.

After reading that, I decided that it was a good idea to make a guild, since one of the 'Pros' from the creating a guild, was that you could see the health of your guild member whenever you wanted.

I decided to tell everyone about it, and everyone agreed to making one.

But the issue was who the leader will be. Also the name.

"So, who do you guys think the leader should be?"

"Easy, I vote for Nyx. Not only is she smart, she is also quite fast." A candidate proposal from Pol.

"Yeah I also think Nyx would be a great leader!" Some of the girls like, Flora and Althea agreed with Pol.

"Nyx? Yours truly can do a better job than her." Nolav apparently used his Priest skills to heal his missing teeth.

"Nah, you're annoying." Said Jaiyana, which basically everyone agreed at that point.

After a few more candidates, we decided that the perfect person for this job was, Nyx.

We filled the guild document and gave it to the beautiful woman.

"With this, we are all done."

Today was truly tiring, and I was glad we finished our registration in the Adventurers Guild.

And the registration of our own guild, Fianna.

Nyx said it was a good idea to name our guild 'Fianna' since it meant 'Band of Warriors'

And with that our obligations were over.

"So leader, tell us where are we going to sleep?" A question everyone forgot about.

"I guess we just have to ask around." Said Nyx.

She went around the bar asking everyone about a place to sleep but everyone, naturally, wanted money in exchange for a good nights rest.

"Don't worry about it for tonight." That was the voice of the beautiful woman.

"New Adventurers get free rooms on their first day. But tomorrow you will have to get money somehow and pay for rooms, and the food you just ate tonight."

The food apparently wasn't free.

But it was still nice of them to serve us, even though they didn't know we had a single cent.

Tomorrow came, and first thing we did was go to Quest Board.

That's the board where we could take the quests.

Nyx had a good idea and decided to split us into teams, so that we could finish more quests and faster.

We had 4 teams.

-First team: Nyx as a Warrior and leader, Nolav as a Priest, Gesa as a Mage, Eno as an Assassin and Jaiyana as an Archer.

-Second team: Neo as a Summoner and leader, Cypher as a Mage, Alaric as a Berserker, Martina as a Warrior and Olesia as a Necromancer.

-Third team: Elaina as an Assassin and leader, Diver as a Berserker, Thora as a Warrior, Juno as a Mage and Pax as a Lancer.

-Fourth team: Noor as a Jack of Blades and leader, Moxie as a Priest, Marz as a Mage,

Luna as a Lancer and Novelia as a Mage.

First and Third team would focus on slaying monsters quests.

While the Second and Fourth would focus on simple, and not dangerous quests like finding cats, or helping different shops with moving their stuff etc.

I wasn't mad about this since my team had a lot of fun doing these quests, we also got to level up and learn new skills where eventually would move us to other teams so that we could fight.

Level 6

"Just how much longer are we going to do these quests? We already have a high enough level and skills to go into monster quests." Marz complained as we were resting from the work we started about a week ago.

Honestly these days went by very quickly.

"Don't worry Marz, Nyx did say that after we get a guild house we can also do monster quests, medium ones too." Moxie was trying to comfort Marz.

"I know, but I wanna use my fire magic against real enemies not just training dummies."

"I know I know, I also really wanna use my lightning magic to electrify goblins." Novelia was drooling while saying that, I guess this is the last proof I have that she is a sadist.

Meanwhile I was just eating my food while listening to them have this conversation.

But honestly, I too wanted to join the 'main forces' and defeat some monsters.

Especially since I've copied some mage skills.

So far I've copied 5 skills:

-Rage from Diver.

-Fireball from Marz.

-Lightning Bolt from Novelia.

-Heal from Moxie.

-EXPLOSION! from a high-level witch with a strange name.

Right now I'm sure I'm ready to take any monster on. But I still need a better weapon than just a wooden sword.

"You guys, I want to buy a new sword."

"Are you perhaps stupid?" Marz asked calmly.

"I'm sure you didn't forget what Nyx said. Save the money for a guild house, then we can proceed to buy whatever we want."

"I know, Luna, I'm just tired seeing everyone else buying fancy armor and weapons while we are here struggling with beginner equipment."

"It's not like we are fighting anyone, so it would just be a waste of money."

"Yeah I understand that."

There was silence for a bit then Team Three joined us.

"Hello Noor, I hope you didn't have to chase a lot of cats today." At that point I really wanted to strangle Pax.

"Aw, leave him alone, he is so cute! Just look at how soft his cheeks are." Thora then begins pinching my cheeks and causing me 50 points from my health.

"Noor, I know you're handsome but save some women for us will ya?"

"Diver, Thora is not a woman, she is a high-rank Goblin disguised in human flesh." Marz says calmly.

"No one asked for your shitty opinion!" Thora then proceeds to carve her name in Marz's neck with her small knife.

"You look annoyed, Noor. Did something happen?"

"I'm fine, just jealous of you for being able to take on monster quest."

"You'll get to it eventually."

"Yeah, well what about you Elaina, how was the hunt today?"

"It was fine, we got more money than usual, with this I'm sure we can purchase the guild house."

"Ah finally, this is really good news for once."

"Yes, we are finally free from Nyx's punishments."

"Please don't remind me of that."

After having a fun chat with Third Team, Nyx, her team and the Second Team arrived.

Nyx stopped at the reception desk, talking with Adelaida, previously known as the 'beautiful woman'

"Everyone we will finally have enough money for the guild quest!" Yelled Gesa with excitement.

"Really?"

"Well it was about damn time."

After having a short celebration about it, Nyx approached the table.

"I would like to thank all of you for making this possible. With your efforts I'm sure we can achieve greater things than this. This is just the beginning of our guild, Fianna and our adventure in this game!"

After hearing that everyone started partying, dancing and drinking like crazy.

It really was a great feeling, knowing that we are taking steps towards winning this game.
