1 Chapter 1, The beginning

*bang, bang, bang*. *huff...huff*

Gunshots ring out into the quiet night. I run with my baby in one hand, a gun in the other. A group of men in suites firing non-stop at me. I run to the end of the pier and jump into a boat and start the engine.

"Hiss.., damn it!. Sh~ it's ok don't cry.... Mommy's here…''.

I look back to see the men in suites walk away. I turned the engine off mid way going into a small cave to calm down and stay for a bit. I bet you're wondering, why did they want?, why were they after me?. It all started on the day my father introduced me to my step-mother and step-sister. Obviously I was in shock, and heart broken. A week prior to that my biological mother was in a car accident, and we just had the funeral. I knew something was wrong because my step-sister was around my age, I was in my second year of middle school and she was around my height. My father then introduced me to them,

"Mitsuki… i want you to meet your step-mom, Natsuko, and your step-sister, leiko''

I stood there frozen, unable to mutter a single word. The only thing that popped into my mind was ''why?''. After a moment of silence i said to my father

"can we talk in private for a little bit?''.

Of course he agreed because he knew I had questions to ask, so we left for his study. The moment the door was locked i turned to face my father and quickly asked

"why?... Why after mother is dead?!".

"Do you have a problem with my decisions?."

"I need to pass the company to someone..".

I stood there in utter disbelief.

"Need someone to pass the company to? Oh sure why not invite some random lady and her daughter into my life expecting her to take over the company and not your own daughter" i said it out of anger,and sadness.

*SLAP!*

"You dare disrespect me and my decisions."

I stood there frozen and petrified, afraid to do or say anything.

"Y-you.... You slapped me..".

I didn't dare say anything anymore. I left the study and left to my room to find Leiko going through my jewelry.

"Ooh~ this is pretty!, i bet it would look a thousand time better on me than that wr*tch!".

"PUT THAT DOWN THIS INSTANT!".

*screams*

I rushed to take the jewelry out of her hand and held it to my chest.

"NEVER touch this again!"

My father and natsuko came running upstairs when they heard the scream. They both rushed in and yelled "what happened?!"

"She was going through my room and touching my jewelry!"

"No I didn't!, this is my room anyways so you need to leave. Daddy prepared this room for me so it's my room"

As she said this she had a smug look on her face as if she won the argument.

"Your room?! Ha don't make me laugh. I've been in this room my whole life. What makes you think I'm going to give it to you even worse is my jewelry!"

"ENOUGH!"

"Mitsuko which jewelry is she talking about?"

"She's talking about THAT jewel!"

My father quickly looked at leiko and quickly refused. That's when Natsuko interfered.

"Darling don't you think mitsuko is being a bit selfish..? They're sisters now they should be able to share-"

My father cut her off before she could continue and quickly ended the argument and left the room. Of course Natsuko followed him to try and calm him down. They closed the door with a -click-. As soon as the door closed, Leiko Took the chance to threaten me and said that this was not going to be over and that she would make my life a living hell, And on that day I decided to start being prepared. After she left I quickly locked my door, I hid the jewel in a secret place that only I knew. I kept my allowance there just in case of emergencies and today I realised that it would definitely come in handy in the future when dealing with my step-mom and step-sister.
