Blood Rose

*WARNING VERY GRAPHIC CHAPTER READ AT OWN RISK* :D (very gory)

I was confused. Nothing made sense. Why was mother yelling? What was wrong with father? Mother pushed me away telling me to run. She flung herself at the strange man in green, and he smiled.

"Oh! What a vixen, Let's have some fun before I deal with you~ looks like I lucked out, after all, I was only assigned this little cabin!" The green man pulled my mother by her hair and forced her against the wall. The impact bruised her forehead and she started crying. Not knowing what to do, I ran.

I didn't want to go too far so that mother and father didn't worry too much. Since after this, we were going to eat our feast I shouldn't run so far as to get lost. I decided to run into our backyard and hide behind the compost bin. The large barrel hid my body completely from view.

I lost track of time. I kept waiting and hoping. Any minute now father would find me and tell me that it was time to stop hiding. I must be patient.

A loud sound awoke me from my daze and I subconsciously stood, searching for the source of the noise. I assumed the noise meant that everything was ok. I stumbled back into the house through the back door, crossed the hall and peeked into the main room just in case.

The main room was red. Father lay on the floor. His back still held the knife but his face was gone. All that remained was his bloody twitching facial muscles and bones. His scalp was pulled back and his skull was split, bits of bloody brains sat around him.

Mother was bent over the table we had set moments before. The metal knives we were going to use were stabbed through her hands and into the wooden table. Her clothing was ripped revealing her bare, white skin. Her eyes were rolled back and her mouth was foaming.

The entire room was dented by little holes. Mother and father's bodies were riddled with the little holes and blood ceaselessly flowed out. The man in green wiped a bit of blood off his face where something had scratched him and left deep gorge marks.

"Fuc*ing B*tch, how dare you scratch me!" He threw his rifle down on the floor and it skid to a stop a couple of feet away from where I hid. The man pulled out a pistol and vented his rage on my mothers twitching body.

'NO. PLEASE STOP HURTING MOMMY!' I wanted to yell but my mouth wouldn't move. I looked at the rifle on the floor and the man that was shooting my mother. Making a decision I shakily reached out and grabbed the rifle I copied the man's actions and pulled the trigger.

The rifle shot a few times but it wouldn't work again no matter how much I pulled. The Man in green turned in surprise and fell motionless. I dropped the gun and made a beeline to my rose. Once I had the rose in my hand I slid to the ground and sobbed quietly. In denial.

I had no idea when I woke up but I felt a tickling sensation on my skin and looked at the main room. Everything was tinted grey and my eyes stung. It was hard to breathe. I choked on the ashy air and ran out the back door coughing madly.

I slowly turned around and saw a huge fire engulphing the cabin. Right behind it, one could see still bodies littered in the bloody streets. The whole town was ablaze.

But surprisingly I felt not one bit of grief. during this ordeal, I had lost something very important. The capacity to feel. I didn't even flinch the slightest when I touched my burnt flesh and looked at the massacre.

Some little voice inside me was still there, however. Telling me what to do. Nova was killed here, and I was born from her ashes. And It was my job to bring back her parents.

sorry for grammar mistakes and fast-paced plot. :,P I'm not a fan of slow-paced stories... Thanks for reading!
