15 Automobile

The Port was connected to a large industrial site. The streets were full of people. The food stalls were selling popular breakfast foods to people, causing a delicious smell to spread around the area.

The majority of the passengers of the boat were headed in that direction. Nova and Val went the other way. The road they traveled was smaller but was still used by a couple of people.

The road they walked on was flanked on either side by tall buildings. They all looked old yet they held some kind of elegance.

They walked along the side of the road. The middle of the road was paved off with something black. Nova heard a weird growling noise and looked behind her.

The automobile drove down the middle of the street. It's glossy black exterior reflected the sun. Nova stopped and stared in wonder as the contraption moved silently away from them.

"W-what was that?"

Val looked at the little girl with amusement.

"That's an Automobile."

Nova looked at Val like she was stupid.

"Oh, really? Then all of my curiosity has disappeared. Thanks to you..."

Nova said icily. Val looked at the fuming little girl and smiled to herself. Eventually after much walking the duo stopped at a tall building. The exterior was white with dark brown accents.

Nova counted about 3 stories. The entrance was a flight of stairs that led to a double door.

"Ah, already here...That was fast.."

Val frowned. Then she led Nova up to the steps and knocked on the double doors. A sharp old lady answered the door.

"Who are you?! Knocking on the door at this hour!"

Val scratched her cheek.

"Madam Wu... This is the refugee we informed you about.."

Madam Wu looked at Nova. 'This little thing?'

Madam Wu took them into the reception room and discussed various details with Val.
