Chapter 25

One week passed, and Alex was being cared for in the hospital. After the doctor ensured that his health had stabilized, Alex was allowed to go home. However, upon returning, Alex was sulking because his beloved didn't come to pick him up due to some sudden business.

"Is the boss sulking?" Reid teased.

"Oh my," Sebastian added.

"What are you talking about guys?" Layton chimed in.

"The boss's lady didn't come, hahaha!" All three of his friends laughed at their boss's antics.

"Haha, keep laughing," Alex said irritably and left his three friends.

"Hey, Alex, why are you leaving us?" Reid shouted, and they followed Alex, who was already far ahead.

Alex continued walking, ignoring Reid's calls. When he reached the parking lot, Alex stood next to Layton's car, annoyed because the owner of the car was walking slowly behind.

"Boss walks really fast," Reid patted Alex's shoulder, unaware that Alex was genuinely angry.
