14 Chapter 14 Where Are You

Alfred went crazy and threw all the bedding on the hospital bed to the ground. But there was no one in the bed.

He searched every corner of the room, but couldn't find her.

"Lauren, where are you!"

He yelled to the air. But the only answer to him was his own echo.

He thought to himself, "Surveillance! Surveillance video of the hospital!"

Alfred quickly dashed to the chief's office. He was about to lose his mind. Where did that woman go? Why did she disappear?

Did she want to commit suicide after having the operation?

More and more speculation appeared in his mind. He became even more worried. He admitted that he hated her. But he never thought that she would die because of him!

When he arrived at the chief's office, the chief was chatting with a group of experts about the patients' condition. However, Alfred came over and grabbed him by the collar and asked coldly, " Where has Lauren gone?"

"Ms. Jones? Isn't she in the hospital?"
