48 Hocus Pocus (1)

Coachella was a festival like no other. The area used to have been clear yesterday, but today it was crammed with people and lots of activities were all around.

"Yeah! Woohoo!" screamed the girls.

They were all dressed like fashion idols and I couldn't help but admire their beauty.

Ali had put on some rockstar black cropped tee paired with denim high waisted skort. She wore ankle high boots with leather straps tied on her thigh. Some finishing touches with round red glasses, a blood red tiny purse, edgy make-up and choker spikes and she was up and about to devour any man's heart raw.

An ice vampire princess.

Suzy was all about the bright color. She had popping neon make-up paired with big hair pins on her extension curls, well-manicured fake nails, and a geometric printed bathing suit.

And with regards to her choice in clothes – well, all I can say is that there's barely enough skin covered, but she rocked the outfit nevertheless.

They do say that it is never about the clothes, but the one who wears them.

Becky on the other hand, has gone sparkle chic with her sheer, crystal embezzled short dress. She had a two-piece silver fringed bathing suit underneath, and silver metal arm bands. She was obviously twinning with Suzy and her sandals were golden crisscross heels and I hope she'll last the whole day walking on those.

The girls had me dressed up as well too. Suzy was hellbent on doing my clothes and I was just too tired to complain this time around.

I let the girls do their magic and when I looked into the mirror, I had to say that I was shocked at how great it looked despite being opposite to my taste.

They had me wear a high-waisted denim shorts, leather boots, a black hat and some bracelets and a crystal choker. The killer part of the ensemble would be the red crocheted sleeveless top with long individual draped strings down to my ankles which danced when I walk around.

It kind of reminded me of a burning phoenix.

Reborn from the ashes, my flames burned brighter with the hopes of finding that well-deserved justice.

The girls and I had separated with the band after we had entered the festival area. They needed to do some little tests and check the equipment they would use this evening as part of their first performance.

They wanted it to be perfect, and with that said, they must see to it that everything must go according to plan.

We were lucky to come into the camping area earlier due to Nico's connections as it would undoubtedly be cramped as Coachella staff started to admit people with tickets.

Organizers checked one last time with all their electronics, equipment, lighting, fixtures, staff attendance, sculptures, rides - just about anything that they could look at, they checked.

The security was tight as a corset as police were stationed here and there. Some staff roam around too, making sure rules were implemented.

People poured and it didn't take long for the grounds to be filled up by festival goers.

After three more hours, Coachella officially started with a bang.

Like a real big bang. The kind that had fancy and colorful explosions like any festivals.

Smoke machines pumped pastel clouds all over and it was a surprise nobody choked with all the smoke that spread out the area.

"Hey Lizzie, come lets take a selfie." Becky called me as I inspected one of the giant sculptures erected where we had been.

It was already noon now, and we had our lunch of corndogs and burgers. I had some soda too and they were perfect for the heat of California.

Tents were all over the place, lots of rides for the children to play on while there were already bands that began to play in the smaller stages.

I huddled up together with the girls and Becky there was a click that signaled the picture was already taken. I took a step back and a cool wind blew from behind me and suddenly I had the chills.

I turned around, curious as it felt like someone was watching me from behind.

What faced me though, was a tent that was pristinely all white. I don't know what came to me but I couldn't help myself be pulled by it, like it was calling me to enter but my legs wanted me to stay.

My mind went blank and when I opened my eyes, I found myself inside some dark tent that was the exact contrast of the white tent I saw a while back.

A woman was in front of me, wrapped around thick, blue cloth which showed only her eyes that were as deep blue as the sea.

Chills ran up and down my body as I sat on a soft cushioned chair. Smoke came out from an incense that was on a corner table draped with lace mantle.

How did I even end up here?

I never planned to be in this place. It was creepy as hell – everything was just screaming black and ominous music played in the background.

Constellations danced around her tent, they moved slowly like how the earth revolves around the sun.

The woman heavily cloaked sitting in front of me had her hands hovering over a crystal ball on the table. I couldn't see her face underneath the midnight blue silky hood she had on.

I tried to hold on to myself as my fingertips sent sparks flying beneath the table. My skin felt tingly and I could tell that my magic was reacting to this place.

Yesterday, when I had been caught off guard when Bash winked at me, my magic slipped and caused him to trip when he took a step away from Suzy.

With that done, he crashed with all his six-footer built on her and she yelped in surprise.

"Oh my gosh! Are you two alright?" Becky screamed. She went over to help her friend up while the boys hoisted Bash.

The man was equally shocked as he clearly remembers he had made it away from Suzy. But one second he was moving towards me, the next thing he knew he had tripped and unfortunately pulled Suzy with him.

I had to admit it was quite funny to see the shock and confusion etched on their faces and somehow a snicker escaped my mouth. They looked at me and Suzy had this bitchy look in her as if she blames me for getting smacked on the floor.

I'm really sorry Suzy, but you had it coming for being too close with the man. There is nothing I could change with collateral damage that I wasn't aiming for.

She had just coincidentally been there.

If she had stepped away, perhaps she could have saved herself from being dragged with Bash.

But enough of yesterday, I am seriously terrified with how I ended up in this place right now.

"Why would you be terrified, dear?" the woman spoke as her eyes looked straight into me. "Isn't it on your own volition that you came to my tent?"

She leaned in forward and propped her hands to support her chin, "You are an interesting child. I will give you my service for free."
