144 Goodbye

I felt so utterly useless. How did it come to this point that the only choice I have left was to die and trust some stranger to grant Lizzie and I a second chance in our next lifetime?

"It is your choice to make, a burden to carry for the rest of your years left in this lifetime," Juno said, "Either you accept the offer I have for your, or the blood and tears of the innocent would be left wasted into nothing."

I crawled towards Juno, never minding the dirt that the ground would put on my already torn clothes. The tears didn't stop, my weeping an ugly cry for justice which I was too powerless to give.

Anger and anguish mixed inside of me to the point that I felt myself bursting. My heart felt caged, the emotions raging from within and trying to find something to blame.

But there was nothing nor no one left for me to blame here but myself.
