6 #5- Future Lady?!

"Aiya, what happened? Why am I in this space again?"Black Jade complained, visibly annoyed.

He was looking forward to a good night's rest, yet he had been summoned into the space again!

However, he noticed that his surroundings were getting darker and darker, and that a tall and mighty man was standing before his tiny body.

Black Jade could only plaster his horror-filled gaze onto the overbearing figure that stood menacingly before him.

"You..."Black Jade shivered as he wagged his finger at the scary man. "Who are you!"

Suddenly, he was picked up by him with one hand, and Black Jade started flailing about frantically.

"Put me down, you insolent-"

"Ah!"

Black Jade shrieked, as the man spanked his round butt. His large palm mercilessly landed on the boy's bottom with a loud sound, and Black Jade nearly burst into tears, while screaming with all his might.

Master, save me!

Who was this monster?!

"Shut up!"The man's face blackened, as he stared coolly at the weeping boy. "Now, stop moving."

He pressed his thumb on the boy's forehead and a small ray of light suddenly penetrated into his forehead.

Black Jade's eyes slowly widened, and recognition flashed across his big, bright eyes as he looked at the dominating figure.

"Lord Ye...My Lord !"He exclaimed happily, as he tried to hug onto his thigh, only to be kicked to a curb heartlessly.

Boohoo...

Black Jade pouted as he glanced sadly at the man, Ye Xun. His eyes were teary, which could easily make anyone want to pamper him.

However, Ye Xun simply folded his arms, and looked imposingly at Black Jade.

"Black Jade, do you know why you are here?"

The boy shook his head, and replied, "I do not know, my Lord. But I'm now contracted to a useless girl...She is-"

"Your future Lady,"The man interrupted him nonchalantly.

"Yes, and-"Black Jade continued, before his mouth fell open upon realising what his Lord had said.

"Wait, what?"

Black Jade was utterly shocked.

My Lord's wife?!

That useless girl?!

"My Lord! You can't do this! Our Lady has not even passed for long and you..."Black Jade burst into tears, angry at his Lord.

Our Lady has not even passed for two hundred years, and he has already devoted his heart to another. How could that be?

Ye Xun rolled his eyes, and whacked Black Jade's head.

"Idiot. I will only accept one wife in my lifetime!"

Black Jade was surprised at his words, but he was clever and he soon understood what was going on.

"My Lord, you mean...She's the reincarnation of our Lady?"

Ye Xun nodded his head, a tinge of warmth spreading in his heart.

"That is correct."

Black Jade wanted to smile upon hearing the great news. After the Lady had passed away, all the subordinates and spirit beasts under the Lord had suffered terribly. The Lady often cooked delicious meals and treats for them before she passed, and treated them warmly regardless of their status, which had caused all of them to be eternally grateful to her.

Unfortunately after her death, the Lord spiralled into depression, and often shut them out. Without the love and care that the Lady had given them, all his subordinates and spirit beasts soon became devastated as well.

However, now that Lady was back... They could feel love again!

Black Jade cheered happily. He could imagine all the good food that all the beasts could once again receive! Braised pig trotters, roasted chicken with honey, deep-fried greasy phoenix meat...

Black Jade almost drooled thinking of all the delicious and tasty dishes.

"But, "Ye Xun spoke grimly, "Your Lady currently does not have any memories of me, and does not remember her past life, so..."

"Ah! You want me to help matchmake you two!"Black Jade quipped excitedly, as he stared at his Lord with his huge eyes. Ye Xun patted his head, as if commending him for his intelligence.

"Mm. But she is not strong enough yet. I need you to help her cultivate until she is extremely powerful! Only then...will I appear before her, and chase her!"

Ye Xun says, as he gingerly shut his eyes. The image of a gorgeous woman floated in his mind, as she smiled lovingly at him. His heart ached at the thought that he had spent almost a century without his beloved.

He breathed deeply, before looking at Black Jade.

"I need to go now, I suppose you know what you need to do!"

"Yes, my Lord!"Black Jade replied reverently.

Ye Xun then disappeared, leaving behind a faint wisp of smoke, and Black Jade once again awoke in the real world. The sun was starting to rise, and the rays shone lightly on Jin Ning's face, causing her to stir slightly.

Looking at Jin Ning, Black Jade couldn't help but shed a tear. Finally, his Lady was back!

"My Lady..."Black Jade whispers softly, as he tried to caress Jin Ning's cheek, as if wanting to affirm that she was truly back.However, out of the blue a hand shot out and grabbed his chubby hand before he could react!
