The knock kept on coming so I decided to let Amelie answer the door... It was Jose Manuel...

" I apologized for disturbing you but I haven't seen you since yesterday. I'm just wondering if you know that we'll be landing on the nearest port tomorrow.." He said.

" I slept early last night and I stayed with my brother this entire day.. May I know why you were looking for me?" I asked.

" I still couldn't find my mother. The captain had already launched a search for her... I'm afraid something bad happened to her... I hope you understand that as his only son, I couldn't leave the ship without knowing her whereabouts... The captain and I has arranged for crewmen to take you and your brother to the hospital as soon as we reached the port... But I have to stay here until my mother is found." He explained.

" Of course I understand you completely. It is your duty to make sure that the Countess I'm safe and sound. I really hope and pray that she will be found sound and everything was just a miscommunication or misunderstanding... " I said.

" Promise me that no matter what happens, we will see each other in London. I will wait for you there... " He pleaded.

I gave him a warm embrace and I let my lips touched his mouth... Then we kissed... And then I pushed him back...

He immediately apologized for being caught with his emotions and I assured him that he had my affections.
