43 Breathtaking as ever..

I asked Amelie to put on a nice dress, fix her hair, flirt with our guards and make them talk about everything they knew and suspected about me and my brother.

I needed to know how much they knew so I could devise a plan to counterattack any plot against us.

Later that evening, I went to the hall and I saw Jose Manuel waiting to meet me.

I was dressed in a scarlet red dress with thigh- high slit, my hair was on a simple ponytail while I drape my neck and shoulders with a white fur.

" Absolutely breathtaking as ever.." He said while he fetched me and kissed my hand.

He apologised for not reaching out for several days. He didn't want me to see his bruised face so he waited for a while until he was no longer looked swollen.

He tried to write me a letter but he found out that his mother had intercepted it.

" Your mother will surely get upset when she see us.." I said.

" Don't worry about her. In fact, I haven't seen her since I can't fully remember when. The last time we went on a voyage together, she disappeared for 4 days straight.. She met a young lad who seduced her and they stayed in her room the whole time. " He narrated.

" Ohh.. so what happened after?" I asked.

" They had an affair for almost a month before my mother moved on to an even younger and better looking guy. They just basically used each other. Mama has a weakness for boys half her age and she showered them with money then she would find a new one.. It kept on going like that since I could remember." He said smiling.

He still had no clue that his mother will not be returning ever..
