Determination

Sa-Ook crosses his legs and sits in the middle of the four mana stones, he closes his eyes and feels the sheer potency of the mana entering his manaworld. To perform the blood rune ritual all he had to do was make a connection with the stones, which had been done by dripping his blood onto the stone, next he had too tune himself with this connection, as he sat down the method he employed was tracing runes on the floor with his fingers, runes that would speak to the mana in the stones and beckon them to join Sa-Ook's manaworld.

Then, Sa-Ook had to undergo a process of meditation, similar to a cultivator but instead he had to explore his own self, in a metaphysical version of his physical body and channel the mana. The process was draining and a bit hard for Sa-Ook's immature body to handle, but with Sa-Ook's expertise and experience he was able to effectively channel the mana into his body.

After sitting there for about thirty minutes, the mana stones were drained from their bright red colour and became a dull grey. Sa-Ook opened his eyes and before him he saw a blue screen before him:

RANK: B-

CLASS: Runeswielder

Age: 17

STR: 139

DEX: 78

STAMINA: 91

SPEED: 98

MANA: 162

Sa-Ook grinned widely and slowly stood up before stumbling over, bracing himself from falling over onto the ground by clutching his bed frame. Sa-Ook felt his legs tremble and realized he had pushed his body too far in too short of a time period. He manoeuvred himself onto the bed and laid there, staring at the ceiling, his large mana store making his stomach twist and his head feel drowsy.

In an attempt to distract himself from his impulsive decisions, he goes back to the old laptop he left on the bed, opening it up. To his surprise, there was no password and it was already open on some sort of underground website.

Again, to Sa-Ook's surprise, he recognized the website. The site was a cover for many illegal dealings and posted about many unethical endeavours and services, leading to numerous forums and communities. The forum that young Sa-Ook had opened seemed to be dedicated to a fighting ring.

As he carefully read the forum, he learnt the name of the fighting ring. It was a branch of a larger organization it seemed, and was called Gyllard. It was being hosted in.. Red Goose? The guild that was chasing him?

Sa-Ook felt his chest tightening.

--------------------

[shattic983] don't bother participating or even going

[xxkarmaxx] why

[shattic983] its just not worth it the prize pool shrinks every fucken time and no one even tries

[boobsterr] fr not worth it i went last week and bet on this one mf and he fucking bailed and i wasnt given a refund

[boobsterr] literally a scam

[shattic983] all of gyllard is a scam

--------------------

As Sa-Ook continued to read up, and his suspicions were confirmed. Sa-Ook's teenage self had been stealing the mana stones from Gyllard's little fighting operation with Red Goose, and seemingly had gotten away with it and began selling it.

It was all too confusing for Sa-Ook to take in. Even in his weakened and frankly pathetic state. His legs were still weak from the ritual and his eyes felt tired. Despite this, He felt determined. He slipped on a hoodie and confirmed the location of Red Goose/Gyllard or whatever it's called and crept out of his house before his mom could notice.

'I guess it's killing two birds with one stone. I get to get rid of Red Goose and I get to find out what the fuck I was up to.'
