14 Gage

the next morning rosette woke feeling quite upset. she had a very long dream and in it she was back to when she was in the asylum. the people there refused to listen to her and everyone suspected that she was the killer of her own brother.

the only person who cared for her was her friend Gage. that's right! why had she forgotten about someone so important to her?! he was odd, beautiful, and slightly insane but he was still the kindest person she had ever met. smiling sadly she recalled how she didnt get to see gage often but when she did he would write her poetry to cheer her up. gage was one of the youngest patients at the hospital but he had been there the longest. committed there for killing his step father at the age of 11 by now gage must have been there for 8 years without someone there to help him endure that hellish place.

she must go visit him today! forget school and everything else! after taking a quick shower she threw on a dark purple dress and brushed her hair. even though she didnt bother to put on makeup she still looked quite pretty and fresh. satisfied with her appearance rosette ran out the door, grabbed her purse,then hailed a cab on the busy street.

she was in such a rush that she didnt realize that Rowan was no longer in bed and was no where to be seen until she was already headed towards St. james hospital. she didnt see kai either. what was going on? shaking her head she decided it could wait till later. she has to help gage like he did for her!

He might have killed his stepfather but rosette knew the truth. sure gage had schizophrenia but it wasnt because he was crazy or cruel that he killed that man. gage killed him to protect his younger sister. he didnt exactly say what was happening to her but rosette wasnt stupid. it was obvious that man was no better than a beast and deserved his death. it was only because of his self loathing and the unfair doctors that gage stayed in that place. now that she wasnt fighting off megan just to survive rosette could probably get him out of that place. the only problem was how was she going to convince gage she is trustworthy?
