12 foreboding

fate is a scary thing once one thinks about it. even scarier was the thought of forever being binded with a tragic one. that night rosette couldnt sleep as she mulled over Andre's words and her new found emotions. the house was strangely quiet since kai left with andre earlier on and rowan was sleeping peacefully sprawled out in bed next to her. rowan had one arm hanging off the bed while another long arm was draped across her waist protectively out of habit. rosette smiled at the sight and she couldnt help but feel this brother of hers was too good to her. it was nice to be able to lay with him like this. in the past rowan died trying to protect her and kai had committed suicide. her parents were gone, megan was still scheming for more money, locked away in the asylum rosette felt miserable. her only solace back then was her hobby of playing the violin. she had gained much fame back then for her music only fueling Megan's hatred for her. should she start up again? her manager found her playing in the graveyard for her parents at the age of 20. she could always go there to make sure he found her again but maybe she shouldn't. wasnt staying out of Megan's view the best idea? rosette also wanted to find out more about the curse andre had spoke of....but playing the violin was something she adored. plus the money from her compositions could help them a lot. they had inherited millions from their parents but the family lawyer mr. florence was a strict man. the siblings couldnt have all their fortune until they met the criteria listed in their parents will. besides money for bills and other necessary expenses the monroe children weren't allowed to have anything else. if rosette wanted to start the plans she had in mind, large amounts of accessible money was something she needed. rolling onto her side rosette cuddled closer to rowan and whispered softly " this time I will protect you". in her mind the future had hope. she dared to dream of a life full of happiness. unfortunately rosette was not aware that the source of all her troubles was watching her through the manor window. the figure cloaked in black pressed their hand against the window gleefully imagining the destruction the small smiling girl would face.
