24 Interview

After reaching the shine company:

Probably, just after half an hour, Xiao Ming came out of building after giving the interview. There were not many people there to give interview because, it is a new company.

She may not have a lot of experience but she have also helped her dad in the company because she was the next successor and he wanted her to have good impression on the employees.

In previous life, Xiao Can have teached her how to handle the company and she was even his secretary and even succeeded her father. She was the C.E.O of the company for a year before getting married to Li Jung. The she just let Li Jung handle the company.

Back to present

After reaching the Xiao Mansion:

Xiao Can was nervously waiting at the entrance. Seeing this Xiao Ming couldn't belief that this man is ruthless in the business world.

Unconsciously, her thought went back to her past life, if her child was alive, would she be waiting like that? What she will be feeling? How would she pamper them? Will she will be happy?

The empty feeling was crawling back again. It feel like someone is squeezing her heart. She just wanted to cry. She ducked her head. Her lively eyes become dull with pearl like tears in them.

Her thoughts stopped by hearing a voice calling her, "Miss, we have reached." Xiao Ming just muttered a thanks and open the door to get out of the car. Just by taking 2 steps, she stumbled. Xiao Can came rushing at her to hold her.

"Barbie, are you ok? What happened? How do you get hurt?" Asked Xiao Can

"Dad, I am alright. It's just my clumsiness." Answered Xiao Ming with a huge smile.

"But you can hurt yourself if you are not careful next time."

"I will be careful dad."

"Promise"

"Promise dad."

"Good. Now come inside, why are you waiting here?"

"....." Xiao Ming was speechless.

Inside the mansion:

Xiao Can got a call regarding very important buisness. Before rushing to the study room, he patted Xiao Ming head and mouthed 'we will have dinner together.' Xiao Ming just replied with a thumbs up and went to eat.

Her so called 'sister' and step-mother was always out or either in their rooms. God knows what they were planning.

Xiao Ming just chugged down the water and ate a bowl of salad.

Then, she ordered another driver to send her to the "smart library." It was one of her favourite destination in her past life.

After reaching the 'smart library':

Xiao Ming loves book. Like, she could just spent her whole life in library without complaining. The smell of the book and coffee is just like her addiction.

Xiao Ming was so immersed in her books that she didn't even realize the time. She only got up to order more coffee or water.

Again as Xiao Ming was deeply interested by the topic, a sharp ringtone made her come back to reality. She raised her head from her book, annoyed that nobody was picking their call. She, then realized it was her ringtone, she was even more annoyed but then seeing the time she just felt guilty. Her father will be so worried without wasting a single second, she received the call.

Hearing silence at the other side, Xiao Ming knows that her father is very angry.

"Dad, I am just at library. I am coming in just 10 minutes." Said Xiao Ming in one breath. After 2 seconds, a voice replied "hmm" and the call ended.

At the other end(Xiao Mansion):

Xiao Can cut the call and a sigh left his mouth. Xiao Ming addiction was just like her mom's. Just thinking about the love of his life, he started to miss her. No one could match with her temper, beauty, laugh, anger, ego, kindness. She was truly his angel. Watching his new wife and daughter obediently waiting, his favourable impression rose.

At the library:

After collecting her things, Xiao Ming rushed out of the library but then she remembered that she have not called the driver, as she was about to call, instead a call come from her driver.

"Hello miss, I am at the gate of the library."

"Ok, ok" Xiao Ming replied immediately.

After spotting the car. She open the door and sit down inside.

After the car started moving,

"Why were you here?" Asked Xiao Ming.

"Miss, sir asked me to." Replied driver.

"Ok, ok." Said Xiao Ming.

Hearing his reply, Xiao Ming just became silent thinking all the ways to extinguish his anger.
