Oliver had never heard of a reward for being the first to enter a dungeon, well he never was the first, so it was logical. The government must have kept it a secret.

With all his new gains his new damage with magic missile was 125 and his mana regen speed increase to 2,5% per minute. With all of this sorted he started the grind.
After walking for a minute, he came across a group of 4 goblins, Oliver instantly used his inspect skill.

The second he saw all the goblins he readied 4 magic missiles and shot 1 at each one, making them all stumble back.

In the moment they were stumbling back he took the opportunity to ready 4 more missiles, killing all 4 goblins before they could even lay a scratch on him.

When Oliver saw the battle was over, he went to collect the loot, but sins they are both low grade and low LVL the only thing they dropped was coins, at this LVL generally only the boss drops an item or skill book.

Oliver then repeated this with another 9 groups of goblins over the timespan of 3 hours, after which he got his first level up.
The first group was relevantly close to the entrance but after that, the dungeon becomes a lot more difficult to navigate.

As he leveled up his health stamina and mana all got restored, he also took some time to rest and look at his new upgraded magic missile and the number of coins he acquired.

The total coins he had acquired was 75, a long way off from the 25,000 coins he needed for the cheapest lightning attack skill [lightning bolt (D-grade)].
It only took him another hour to clean the rest of the first floor. The clear time after his level up increase significantly, that was expected because the time between fights took up most of his time, so after his agility more than doubled his clear speed also close to doubled in efficiency.
With his agility going up every time he leveled up, and his damage gradually going up because of the increase in intelligence and the increase in the level of his magic missile skill, Olive was able to complete the 9th floor of the dungeon within 19 hours, he took an hour to rest before fighting the boss.
He also reached LVL 3 along the way.

He had also accumulated 760 coins along the way.
He felt confident in taking on the boss now that he had rested and restored his mana an hp, the boss is a LVL 10 hobgoblin, just like in the test of the obelisk but 5 levels higher, and since this was the boss monster it was also a [D-grade] monster, 1 rank higher than the monsters in the dungeon.
After taking a deep breath Oliver opened the big iron door at the entrance of floor 10. The 10th floor was just like all the other floors, a moist cave with moss coming from all places, and it smelled exactly like what you would expect the only difference was that this one was bigger than the last ones, in height not in ground space. The second he saw the boss he didn't dare to waste any time and activated eyes of truth, after all if he slips up this fight could go very wrong, one hit from that sword in the hands of the hobgoblin could probably kill him, at the very least cripple him.

But with the incredibly high strength the Hobgoblin has, it didn't get disoriented or pushed back in the least. The next second it appeared before Oliver swinging its sword, luckily Oliver's agility was higher than the Hobgoblin, but it didn't matter.

Oliver flew back into the cave wall, not from the pure attack of the sword, just the attack being close and the huge strength difference between the 2 parties was enough to send him flying. The next second damage appeared above Oliver's head.

Almost all his health was gone, but it wasn't to surprising with him having relatively low strength and no armor at all. Oliver spat out some blood to see the Hobgoblin standing at the completely other side of the cave, where they had their previous encounter looking smug and overconfident.
"What are you looking at! A whatever this battle is already over anyway."
He wasn't nervous, the second he saw the big distance between him and the Hobgoblin, he knew that he had won. There was no way that monster was going to be able to land another hit on him before he could launch 4 more missiles.
After Oliver said that to the Hobgoblin, he could see the panicked look on its face while it was running towards him. In the end it was all for nothing, Oliver had already cast 4 missiles and was in the motion of launching them.
