2 Skylar

The next thing he knew, he was in a cold dark room. There were no windows or a source of light in the room. Slowly, he felt around for something, that would help him understand his situation better.

'The floor is... cold, really cold, and smooth, but kinda bumpy in some parts. Is this Iron? So the bumpy texture must be rust.' He continued to explore with his hands, Clang, he hit something.

"Keep it down!" Another voice, this time much scarier, barked out from one of the corners of the room.

At this time Alexis's eyes are relatively adjusted to the darkness of the place he was in. He could vaguely make out a gang of larger boys with faces that belonged to a man, not a boy. The most intimidating looking one being the one who shouted to keep it down.

"Sorry, Ace! We'll try to be quieter from now on!" The oddly high pitched voice shouts back at the boy in the corner.

He grumbles in a displeased tone but lets it go.

"Hi! Did you get thrown in here too? I'm Skyler, but you can call me Sky! What's your name? What part of the neighborhood are you from?"

When the boy finally finished, Alexis thought that he seemed way too happy for just getting kidnapped. But then he noticed the boy's hands, frail and boney, just like his. He was malnourished, more so than normal. Taking a second glance, his hands were shaking to an extreme amount. No smile or cheerful tone could hide his ghostly pale skin or dark eye bags. Clearly, Skyler was not as happy as he first appeared to be.

But seeing that he had not threatened, drugged, or injured him in the last twenty-four hours, he was deemed safe, for now anyway.

"Alexis, Alexis Wood... and I'm from district C block 12..."

"Nice to meetcha Alexis! I'm from District C too! But I'm on block 7. Oh, and can I call you Alex?"

"um..." Alex was the nickname given to him by his father and the only ones that called him that were his immediate family, " I don't think we're tha-" He started saying but he hesitated, "erm... s-sure..."
