Mount Kurei

That night Ash woke up due to undeniable call of nature. Lifting the edges of his feet he walk towards the door but in doing so, he made sure to make some precautions. What if incase some ugly dolls would flashy appear infront of his door again? At the very least, he could make any preparation for his heart incase that scenario would came into reality again.

However his disdain interest was never realized. His path zone is 100% clear of the target. Feeling a sense of security he march towards his goal.

It didn't took him a minute to finish his business and went back. But before going back, he took a different turn away from his room. Walking a few steps in front of an unfamiliar door. At some point he was being curious of what he is doing this night. Olivus is always half asleep in the morning and his self is constantly drifting on the sidelines. Makes him wonder, what is he always doing at night?

Could it be he's practicing his magic during the night?

Slowly he touch the knob of the door making a turn and fully made a small gap in which he could fit in his right eye. Olivus was facing backwards. Sitting on his chair and scribbling something on the paper. Then later on, by the power of his saliva, he seal the envelope. Ash also saw him pick up his brownish colored bag and slid on his shoulder.

Where is he going this night? Curiosity strike him. Olivus seems to be going far away base of the size of his belongings.

Seeing that his halfway towards the door, he swiftly rush back to his room and analyzed his recent course of action. In his thought, one plausible reason came into his realization.

His running away!

And at the strike of realization, he was following his lead already. His first taught was to follow him and deduce the reason of such withdraw.

When Olivus was set to his journey, he pulled a large rectangular carpet. He casted some spell out of his hand and the carpet started to flew on its own bearing Olivus on such spot.

Holly Molly

Now Ash couldn't do anything as the large thing soared up the dark night sky and disappeared on the horizon. He felt dejected at his stood that he couldn't stop his leaving. If only he would say it upfront that he can't stay any longer on their squad, at least his Lieutenant would understand it. At some point, he can sympathize with Olivus action.

He decided to get back inside since the chilly cold might not be very friendly at that time and when he take his turn a strong swish of northern air came rushing through his location and targeted the very stood point of his feet. Lifting him up unto some sort of cloth as he stumble downwards then the air begin rushing forward again.

Now he was being lifted by the same carpet he saw Olivus ride earlier.

At that few seconds, he felt airsick, although they were riding the air.

"How come, you feeling well?" Ash directed that to Olivus who blankly staring the dark path. Is there something there that he can't see while he can?

"I'm used to it" Olivus said in monotone.

"I see...but why are you running away? It's not dependable for a future nights staling the night for his escape. You know, there are grounds...."

"Who said I'm running away. I have an urgent matters to attend back home that it can't be put tomorrow. I need to be there now or it'll be too late. If something happen to her, I don't even know what will be my existence. I can't let him take away my own to treasure"

Woah, he's not running away?!

What is the purpose of following him then?

For some point he can sense a bit of emotion on his statement. Usually, Olivus is monotone. The likes who doesn't care of the world and would always stick near to his human size doll. This situation is pretty sure that Olivus is losing his own composure.

But other than that, Olivus business is his own. He doesn't need to mingle. But why did he bring him?

"In case you're wondering I didn't like to bring you either"

"Then can you drop me off now?"

"However, the spirits insist that I should bring you with me. Although the reason is unknown."

"Spirits!" The hair that cover his skin seems to tingle the moment he mention spirits. He started to pull his arms together turning his head both sideways. Though he couldn't see anything at all.

"..." Ash drew a few meters nearer Olivus. Ash weakness, his afraid of ghosts. In his early life on Earth he was traumatize watching ghost movies especially those that are decapitated one. It send nightmares to him whenever he see those things.

Olivus make a questioning look over his reaction.

"It seems that you're afraid of them. I can really see how your scared to them and I'm doubting to tell you that paramount of ghosts are piling at your back now"

A shrill of cold energy flow to him.

"Seriously, based on your reaction. I can't see you a murderer killing bunch of people. That's why I was wondering why a lot of them keeps on your back. Without any intention of finding the light"

Ash flinch from his statement. The cold air he was experiencing was nowhere to be found. A flash of people's faces that day came into his mind. His breath become ragged at his hearts fast beating.

This were the soul of the people whom he killed that day.

So the touch of karma was still lingering with him. Even though with his new identity, he still wasn't truly been freed by that tragedy.

Olivus saw his unpleasant expression and begin to get worried. He taught that it has something to with what he said earlier. He mean to scare him a little but he didn't expect him to be that overly expressed.

"Ash?...something the ma--Ash!!!"

Olivus felt the horrible action he did was overly laid.

He commanded the spirits to hasten their way towards the Mount Kurei to cure his friend. His magic carpet was made with a light magic tread which sued in apportion with the soul frequency he has. Right now, he was guiding a light spirits to be their mode of transportation towards mount Kurei. Spirits are lightweight and goes with the air. Since he is a necromancer, he had an exchange vow with the light spirits forming a contract that bind them to serve him. However, some necromancer viewed these spirit as merely a tool, Olivus treat his contracted comrades as a precious individual. Thus the other party treat him the same also.

The Mount Kurei

It's a mountainous area situated the southern portion of Kingdom Mahalea. However, the people are a member of tribal group which secluded and withdrew themselves from the society. They ancestors had a pretty strong tied to the mountain spirits that they casted a strong barrier against outsiders.

They landed on a large clearing of the mountain. Seeing that the tress are not much of hindrance on the way, they decided to take that path. However, there's just one problem. There's someone who doesn't still gain his consciousness up to this point and I'll be unreasonable to carry him since his a little taller than him.

There's no helping it but to awaken him through force.

He casted a spirit binding aura through him to regain his conscious. A spirit binding aura is a spell to influence a person's soul string by that of the spirit, having a casual tough of two souls could mediate a reverberating sensation on the body.

Ash open his eyes upon sensing the vibration on his body forcefully tried to moved his maimed self. He was feeling okay now and the sudden popped of images in his mind earlier made him at a disadvantage.

The surrounding area they are now is quite mountainous with wild tall grass hindering their way. Olivus told him that this is the place where he grew up. That is why Olivus quiet and apathetic signature was hone in this secluded place.

"I'm sorry." Olivus started to bow down his head towards him while walking backwards. With a lot of big stones on the ground what he's doing is quite dangerous. Although he didn't find any reason why he was bowing to him.

"I was so rude earlier and teases you to death"

(Well it really didn't gone to the point of death. He can still manage to live)

He grasp now what he's talking about.

Ash casually put his two folded arms to his head. Giving an expression that he really didn't go deep of the matter.

"You don't need to. It was my own weakness, for you to see that thing, I wasn't that manly after all. I do even afraid of ghost"

When Olivus know that he didn't bear grudges toward him his heart become light. And he resume the normal walking position.

"Sure, rather than that Ash exudes a feminine aura"

Eh?ehhh?

Was that obvious. He really need now to seriously take plan on exercising to build up his muscles.

He's originality is a woman but now that he's gradually building himself and a new beginning is being lit upon his footsteps hell grab every chance on that changes.

Olivus stared at him again in a worried look " are you angry again Ash, did I say something out of reconsideration???"

"No you didn't, I just remembered something. Really"

Olivus sigh a relief.

"If there's something that I have said that you've been offended, you can tell me Ash, you know I don't know about people's feelings and sometimes I may not now it that I've already stepping on of the landmine"

What's with this friendly atmosphere?

"I don't want you to die because of me – because of my spirits"

(And I tell you I didn't collapse earlier because I got scare of ghost...)

"Oliver....you ...you haven't gotten friends since childhood?"

It was just a mere conjecture, however by observing such bases and concluding there's a probability that he didn't have friend since earlier days. The typical quiet and always immerse with his own world Olivus might have a hard childhood than anyone could expect.

He only met Olivus a few days yet out of the three, he could really sense his social un-attachment to them. However sometimes he could feel he's trying to act but always he's ended to be alone.

If only Olivus have given a fair chance to change with the help of someone, he can actually, though a little could go back to society.

"Olivus, how are you at the squad?" Wanting to know more about the kid seems to be a Paramount topic of him. A gash of wanting to know him came into him.

"Weng is like a big brother to me while Doro is my twin. Lieutenant is caring despite his eccentricity. He was willing to help me paved my path ahead. They are all like a family to me"

Well, for him also, he could grasp that Weng is their big brother. On the part when Doro is his twin maybe it falls with their interest. They have both peculiar and weird habit. Somehow, he can't still see how caring their Lieutenant when all he could see him is always Idling.

He seems to have always vacant than any other team Lieutenant.

Once again Olivus bear his head low in front of him "I'm sorry Ash for bringing you here without your consent. I selfishly involve you to my personal conflict without hearing your side of view. I will take full responsibility for the atrocity that I have done and will not let harm befall ahead of you"

As if fate is tricking them, the moment he finishes what he said. Something came from behind.

"WOOD SPLIT SPELLBOUND" A male voice echoed through the air followed by a noisy sound of clanking woods.

The spell caster stood up on the top of the tree looking at the small two silhouettes projecting under the bright moonlight.
