4 Entering ‘Realm’

After letting his mother rest a few hours there was only an hour before the game had to be launched. It was at this moment Louie's father walked into the house.

He was wearing a suit and was slumped a bit due to working a tiresome day. After he talked with Louie and his wife he went to bed without eating. This made the duo worry.

But they both couldn't do anything as he was a stubborn guy who wouldn't talk about his problems easily. After Louies dad went to bed the mother son duo ate and went on with different things.

His mother started to watch a movie as Louie went up to the attic to enter 'Realm' for the first time in this life.

As he got to the immersion pod he pressed a few buttons that made the pods lid open with a mechanical sound. He then laid into the pod letting it close behind him.

As he got comfortable his consciousness got sucked into the game. As he got a grip of himself he was now in a completely different scene.

He was now standing on top of a mountain that was surrounded by multiple larger mountains. This was the starting point of all players wanting to enter the game 'Realm'.

As thousands of people materialised around the place a sudden pressure swept through the crowd making everyone shut up and look at the front where it was coming from.

To peoples surprise it was from a middle aged man with a magnificent moustache. He had long brown hair that reached his lower back, and green eyes that trapped thousands of females hearts by staring for too long.

This man was wearing a white robe with blue outlines. The aura he gave off was profound and his mere presence pressured everyone there.

Louie knew this man as an immortal cultivator who resided in the upper heavens in a powerful sect. Obviously he knew that this man wouldn't be seen again until the later stages of the game.

The man gazed across the crowd and sighed, he knew people would be coming but this many?! He probably had to use a lot of power to send everyone off.

After internally crying, he spoke in a loud dominating voice that echoed through the mountains.

"You must be confused why you are here but don't worry, I'm here to help you get on the path of cultivation! Now then let's get started"

His words made everyone shake with excitement. This is the moment they can live out their fantasies about being an immortal that could destroy mountains with a wave of a hand. Or split a sea with a swing of a sword.

Obviously they didn't know how long one must cultivate to get to such level. It would take normal cultivators tens of years to get to not even half of that level. Some it may take hundreds to thousands of years to reach that level, and some die on their path.

Knowing what the crowd was thinking the man sighed before waving his right hand in the air. Suddenly multiple rips in space appeared showing a beautiful endless galaxy within. Immediately after the tears in space appeared a large pulling force sucked them towards the tears in space.

Some unlucky people passed out and got ejected from the game from the sudden force they felt being sucked into the rip in space.

Louie felt the pull and instantly done a tiny hop that lifted his foot off the ground by an inch. By doing so the force that pulled him made it look like he was flying elegantly towards the galaxy within the tear.

Noticing this the man thought for a second and was surprised, a mortal being with no cultivation could not only withstand the pressure but also elegantly fly due to the force he's being pulled at? He was either a special person with some kind of experience or a genius that had done what he felt was right.

Either way he had a bright future in being a cultivator.

As Louie went into the galaxy tear in space he lost consciousness. After a few seconds he opened his eyes to be next to a large lake with a waterfall. A rush of surfacing memories came crashing when he remembered his first time playing.

This place was a unique area, not only is it beautiful it had a lot of luscious greenery and the animals around the place have off a tint of friendliness. It had a secret area where a old powerful cultivator went into seclusion and ascended to the next Realm.

Obviously for a new player that would mean a direct pathway to being in the top ten, because at the start where everyone had to get by with common techniques they would have either a uncommon to a rare technique of the bat.

But to Louie who knew cultivation techniques that were ranked legendary or higher and made his own technique that was ranked Divine during the end stages of the game it was nothing. The only problem with the technique he made was that he couldn't cultivate it, as for it to work you had to have no cultivation base.

But now he had been flung to the past to where he was still a mortal, it was the perfect technique. Although he had no need for a cultivation technique the secret area still had useful items that he could use like better equipment or Qi infused ore.

Not wanting to waste more time Louie headed to the edge of the lake and started to climb the Rocky surface next to the waterfall. This was due to the entrance to the hidden area being behind the crashing waterfall.

After climbing for half a minute he readied himself for the pressure he would have to endure from the powerful waterfall. Plunging his body into the waterfall he almost lost grip of the rock and fell. After a minute of restless climbing he got to a small entrance leading to a cave.

Entering he had to squeeze his body into the crack, after a while shimmering his way down the tight passageway the walls started to separate as it got wider and wider. Inside was a little makeshift bed and a chest.

Not waiting he clicked open the chest and opened it revealing three blue stones, a old tattered book, a basic looking sword and a set of robes. He immediately took the robes and sword as he changed as quickly as possible.

This was due to the fact that it was extremely cold in the cave and the starter clothes had no defence whatsoever, making them useless.

As he put on the robes and equipped the sword he felt something in the robes. As he rummaged through the robes he pulled out a small pouch, as he opened the pouch multiple gold coins could be seen.

The currency in 'Realm' was pretty basic, 100 copper was 1 silver, 1,000 silver was 1 gold and 100,000 gold was 1 platinum which only the rich could own.

Getting a pouch filled with gold coins this early in the game was insane! People usually wouldn't see a gold coin after a couple of weeks to a month! Putting the pouch away Louie sat on the makeshift bed.

It was his time to start over and begin his road of cultivation again! This time he will be successful and become a true immortal being.
