1 Chapter I: Prologue of Birth

Everyone is gifted with a certain power. These powers are known as Stars- An unknown event taking place many years ago, the falling of Stars. How come I'm the only one to obtain something so useless.

*Remember this. A world will never allow you to succeed, it'll only shine upon your downfall. Everyone and everything will despise each action you think is correct. A choice to make that you think is right, it's wrong. You are wrong, something that should've never been brought into this world. A world I created. You will fail and only falter. A fool blindsided by love, dignity, and obsession. You want to feel alive. Are you alive? Give up on your dream. Or fight trying to save it.*
A boy, half with black hair on the right side of his head splitting from the middle, and the other half was white. He stood still near the edge of a tall building in Tokyo watching lifelessly as the dead wind blew in his face. The city was empty or so it felt that way. There weren't any people around, wondering if they were off fighting or somewhere hiding hoping for their safety? Will their Stars be enough to save them? Are there even enough Stars for people to be saved? Questions, no answers. Where did the top Rankers go? or are they already down there fighting?
The boy spoke in such a deep empty tone, sounding like he had been holding onto a small thread of life.
"Where were you, so-called 'Top Rankers' when I needed you? Pathetic. Would it even be worth my time helping you guys out or is there even anyone to save down there? For all, I know it could just be some villain gone wild and no one wanting to stop them."
"Watching isn't bad either? Why bother helping someone who never returned the favor."
His eyes gazed down upon the unsightly events that occurred before him. Buildings began to tumble to the ground, curious if people were scurrying around like ants running from their inevitable death. A figure far in the distance where the damage was taking place emerged from a small building, picking it up and throwing it at whatever it currently was fighting only for part of that building to be blocked by a flash of a mysterious power along with what could be some Ice shooting upwards.
"Hm."
His eyes averted off the severe casualties shifting to whatever was in front of him. A small hole blew open from the rooftop of a building that was only a few feet shorter than the one he was standing on, a guy dressed in an odd outfit. He wore an old brown worn-out jacket with black pants followed by a pair of black boots and a mask that had two small canisters on the side of where his cheeks would be with a wire going all the way to his arms.
A little, yet soft pale hand grasped the boy's hand, gripping it tightly.
"Sorry, did he wake you up from your nap?"
The girl nodded her head in response.
The boy spoke up only loud enough for the man down there to hear him.
"I advise you to leave our sight and take your business to where all the other commotion is, I'm not really in a good mood knowing you woke her out of her sleep. Consider this a warning."
The guy with the mask yelled at the boy in a muffled raspy tone.
"You Asshole, who do you think I am! All high rankers fear me, I am one of the deadliest people who carry an overpowered Star! I'll kill you and take care of her! Or if you're so scared, run away and hope I don't catch you!"
He was unfazed.
"Annoying- You were warned. No saving you."
The boy's body lit up a purplish color with black energy, his hair flew up losing its white color and becoming black along with his eyes having a symbol appear and changing yellow. Jumping off the roof while holding the girl's hand firmly he falls towards the guy. Vanishing and reappearing in his face in an instant, with his left hand he slams the guy's face down, popping it in the process.
His body stopped glowing and the energy around him disappeared returning to normal. Lifting her up he proceeds to jump back to the roof they originally were on, breaking the ground underneath him and having that guy's body fall all the way to the ground.
*sigh*
This world what happened. In the distance, a purple light was seen.

"Hey man.. Hey Man! Aye!"

Act 1: Birth
"..."
"...."
"Shizu, wake up!"
"Taku..? What are you doing up here?"
"Obviously I was looking for you, I should've known you would camp out on the roof. Anyways It's about to start, the day we become Rankers! Come on hurry up and head to the assembly room I'll be waiting for you down there!"
"Wait-"
And like that Taku had already rushed off to the assembly room to receive his rank. But more importantly, some things were on his mind, he thought about who that boy was in his dream.
"What was that all about? I seriously have some odd thoughts."
