1 How I lost everything

This world has way too many secrets, I'm supposed to be one of the most powerful beings on Gaia but I was defeated by someone who came out of nowhere. This world is filled with many skilled fighters who can utilize mana, although mana seems amazing it also depends on how much you're born with, which also decides your standing in this world, regardless if you are skilled with it or not. But with the proper techniques and training, you can increase it. Now here's the predicament I'm in right now, I was panting, there was blood dripping all over my body. I was holding myself up with my sword but I was close to dying, all of my mana has been used up so I couldn't heal myself. I thought to myself 'is this really the end'. I heard a man laughing from above me, looking up I could see him in heavy red armor holding a greatsword in one hand. I sighed, and looked up at him, and smiled, while one hand was on my sword the other was facing towards. Knowing what I was about to do was going use up all my mana, and decrease it all the way to normal mortals but there was nothing I could so about and so I said one word "Death" and closed my hand and lost consciousness.
