I am a non-native writer (self-taught myself English) so the story will contain some mistakes due to cultural differences and is severely lacking in terms of format. There is a mention of some adult activities, but no explicit description. Also the theme is heavy and dark, So please bear with it. All comments are welcome.

ACT I

No Eulogy for you.

I will be telling you a story, a story of mine and many.

How it all began and how in my eyes, all ended. I was but a mere naive human until I was taught a lesson that I never forgot.

In the eyes of many, I was and had remained as an insignificant person, until that day…

The world as we all know had ended at one point, without a warning or notice.

At least, that was the case for me and my class.

I could never forget that day, the day we all died and the day that everything changed.

We were on earth, exactly at Orisaka High school, Tokyo. Japan.

It was a normal day where the hours would pass slowly and boringly. Attending a school for the elite which by the way I was barely admitted in, all thanks to my father's effort and continuous ass licking to those that were above him.

I honestly would have felt better attending a regular school but rejecting the efforts that my father had put to get me here would be the same as spitting in his face. Though a bastard of a son, I was not that unfilial.

My name was Daiki Genkaku

I was a regular person. Too regular in fact, not the slimmest of men and not the fattest, just in between. My height was…average, and my looks were average. with short unkempt black hair and dark brown eyes…average in all.

I was not the smartest person in class nor was I the dumbest, my grades too were average.

My physique was alright but was not by any mean strong or anything. In fact, I never attended PE or even ever tried to do martial arts when I was young. Truth to be told it was rather boring. Perhaps because I was lazy or mostly didn't see the point in doing any sort of sports.

All in all, I was just…average.

Between all my classmates I was the only one that never managed to make a friend. Not that I didn't want to, but probably because most were either avoiding me or are outright hostile toward me.

Except for this guy that always sits near me. His name is Haru Miyamoto. He was the closest thing to a 'friend' I ever had. He is plump…no strike that. The guy is as fat as a cow but was a fun company.

He wears glasses and has grassy hair that is almost covering all his face. He has an can problem on his face. Some as thick as a bean. His glasses were thick an was truly depressing to look at despite that retarded smile that is always pestered on his face, but still, he was my friend.

We were sitting at the back of the class, I was near a window that showed the courtyard of this fine and expensive looking school.

The room we were in was a ten by ten square classroom enough to hold about thirty students comfortably in a well-equipped room with state of the art technology.

"Daiki," said Haru "Did you manage to read that story I told you about?"

The guy had me promise him to read some story about some guy trying to become everlasting or something…but I never managed to read it.

"Sorry, never got the chance,"

"Man you have to read it! It is amazing," said the guy almost jumping.

"Hey look. It's the gay lovebirds." Said a guy from class, who would make sure to call us with the weirdest names every time he shows up.

"The Loser." Said the guy. And by the way that was me "and the fatty." That is Haru. Quite simple and quite true.

This guy was your typical bully. Rich, good-looking, snobbish, and finds his pleasure in the misery of others. Aka An asshole.

He was tall with light blond hair and blue eyes, he had a sportive physique.

Most of the girls in class would fawn over him, after all he had the looks and the cash.

This is, of course, one of the quirks of having a rich family that owns a multi-billion Yen industry and business relationships that are considered of highest regards in Japan.

His father is the boss, of the boss of the boss of my father's boss…you see where I am going?

Normally I would not take an insult and shut up. Actually, although I look like an average person I was a really irritable one, I had to dampen my emotions especially here…

This, of course, was for my father's sake. If I somehow end up on the wrong side of this guy's temper, I might end up losing my place here in this academy.

So I remained silent, I mostly ignored the guy or left him to blurt whatever he was going to say as frankly, I didn't care anymore.

Another guy soon showed up behind him, this one, however, was like a giant wall. He had the muscles of a bodybuilder and dwarfed the blond guy. He had a tanned skin color and looked like your typical delinquent. He had long black hair that was tied in a ponytail and was this guy's friend.

The big guy then said

"Yuji, I don't think that speaking to these low lives is worth the breath or the effort. By the way, did you see Misaka today?"

"No, Renji, I didn't see her, she is probably on her way I think that she mentioned something about having bought a new car, she must be doing some test-driving. But common don't you find it interesting how that these two are always together? I am certain that they are doing some illicit actions, I should probably say something to the principal he might know what to do…" said the blond guy who like you just heard was named Yuji…

The big guy Renji, the blondy Yuji, and the girl just mentioned, Misaka, families were all in partnership. And these were their children; rich and pompous children are all gathered here in this one tiny classroom where I was the outsider.

You must be thinking that Haru is a poor bastard like me. You guessed wrong. The guy's family is as powerful as the others if not more, the only problem that this guy is…well just look at him and you will understand the treatment…rich and ugly might be a thing if the person in question is in a poor area…I mean people who would bust their asses daily to get their living, would probably not care about the appearance of a rich person if they could score some money one way or 'another.'

However here in this place where only rich and pretty-handsome works, if you are ugly…you, are unpopular.

This might sound a bit narrow-minded, but it is the way it is.

By the way, I might sound like a sore Edge-lord loser to you, I won't deny it… I am.

The two guys would only leave after shooting away more insults at the both of us. I who was frankly not caring and the guy near me who was at tear point.

Buckell up bruh

A moment after they left. Haru tried to say something to me only to be stopped by my wandering gaze that locked into the figure that soon entered this classroom.

It was a girl.

This was the girl that the guys from before were speaking about

Misaka Zamehada.

This girl had dark black hair that would reach all the way to her waist. Her eyes were hazel colored while she had high cheekbones with full lips. Added with her small nose, the overall gave her a look of an adult in a teenager's body. That is of course while adding her over the averagely sized mounds that were on her chest. While her hourglass body made her the envy of every girl in school.

She was the school idol, to say the least. And was always followed by two girls of whom the name I always forget.

One of them was a bit taller than the one meter and sixty-centimeter Misaka. While having black hair, she tied it in a ponytail fashion and wore glasses that gave her the look of a serious class representative which coincidentally she was.

She was a looker this one, as even though her oversized breasts would shy away every girl in class if not the school. Her facial beauty was only comparable to Misaka. As for why I cannot remember the name of this girl is because she rarely speaks.

A silent Class rep, you rarely see those… live and learn right.

The other girl was the shortest in class and by the way was the flattest…so flat she would put the whiteboard to shame.

The problem was not that area. She was cute in fact had a doll like a face with big black eyes and a golden wavy hair.

Her nose had few freckles adding to her feminism, but she would look like a little girl any day of the week. The problem with this girl was her temper, especially towards me who by the way avoid this girl like the plague. I have no idea why she is always exploding at me.

The little girl took notice of men then she squinted her eyes and began to 'march' her way where I was sitting.

Yet the moment she opened her mouth.

The world turned dark.

There was nothing, I felt myself floating inside a dark and endless emptiness that spread everywhere…

I could not feel my body nor could I feel anything else…

The time I spent in that empty and dark space must amount to an eternity. Or probably just a moment.

A bright light shone from somewhere behind me and engulfed me whole.

I found myself, standing on solid ground.

Looking above my head, I saw something that I never believed possible.

Actual planets were showing in the sky above where everything was engulfed in chaos…

"Greeting people of Earth…"

Said a voice that brimmed with wisdom and certainty.

However, something was not right…people of Earth?

Then I took a look around me and noticed that every single one of my class was here with me…

In fact, I didn't even notice them it was probably because I was still processing the idea of having rocks the size of planets passing by your head was a bit misleading.

But why did no one even utter a word…I mean I know I am not the type to start speaking anytime, but I for sure would have understood if any of the almost fifty persons( our class was big) here would have at least tried to say something or even begin to scream their lungs out.

I then tried to speak but found myself incapable of such an act…it seems that we are all muted.

"Yea, a little oopsie happened," said the voice

"But, I am not allowed to make mistakes, that is why you are all here…"

I have no idea what the voice is talking about, but it seems that it is related to the situation we are all herein. I think muting the people was part of his speech.

I wouldn't want to handle fifty angry people either.

"There was a problem in the upper realm, and the cause of all of your death was due to a failed…Euh experiment…so, yes. you are all dead."

Oh…well that explains nothing, this only adds more salt to the wound.

"You see…" said the voice "You all had a predestined time where you all should have died at. But now that this happened, your disappearance from the world below would create a problem in the grand scheme of life and death program…" said the voice

I saw some people trying to budge from their position probably trying to move their body, hands or anything, but it seems that they were unable to do anything but to twitch where they stood.

I tried to move and found out that I too was the same…why should it be otherwise?

I gave up soon enough and paid attention to whatever this voice was saying

"So we erased your very existence from the thread of time and made anyone or anything that you have ever contacted or have ever had an interaction with either forgets you or have his mind altered in a way that they would consider someone else besides you to have done the same act. You don't have to worry about the details…you now no longer have a family or friends that will worry or wait for you."

Well, I hope that whatever this is, to be a badly scripted yet well-designed joke.

"So. You should be thanking us for granting you this chance instead of just outright erasing your very existence from the annex of time."

And once he did so a blinding light enveloped us all.

The voice of an old man thundered

"The ceremony was successful! Our heroes are here!"

Looking forward, an old man wearing ceremonial clothes with a red robe and a golden mantle above them. The old man had a toque like a hat but was decorated with gold and silver while the rest of his clothes were of the finest silk. He wore the same as would a priest would wear.

Hang on

The voice said that we died…he also said that he would give us another chance…and now a priest is talking about a ceremony…and heroes.

Before I could put one and one together

Haru jumped up saying

"We have been summoned to another world!!"

Ah shit…
