I woke up to sound of someone groaning. My vision was a bit blurry and my head felt hazy, but I could manage.

'Nirvana.'

I thought of something from the girl's memories as I sat up. My stomach grumbled and I could see that I had [Hungry] written on my status. I sniffed the air and luckily for me, the goblin warrior's corpse was still there. I went towards it and began to have my meal.

Goblin warrior meat was quite tasty, and I was excited to use [Soul Consumption] on this monster, but apparently, it didn't have a soul so all I did was get food. It got to a point there was excess food left. Literally four-fifth of the goblin warrior was left.

I let out a burp and sat on my butt and begun humming happily. Had I ever felt this blissful before?

'Oh, that's right. My status screen!'

Then the little screen popped up in front of me.

I put my hand to my chin, seriously observing the statuses. I had noticed that the numbers for some of my stats had gone up. And I also internally knew that I had grown stronger. My body was a bit lighter now than it was before.

I felt like something bad was going to happen, so I simply tilted my head and lucky for me, my silver staff just barely missed my head.

"Seems like [Sixth Sense] works perfectly. Nice… Wait a minute! Hey! What's that all about!?"

I questioned in a rage as I turned around. I saw a creature with brown fur, black eyes and a tail holding my staff and pointing it at me.

"Huh? What… You?"

I asked the strange creature. I tried to use the language I had gotten from the girl whose soul I had consumed portions of earlier on. Bits of her language were stuck in my head. The creature responded like so,

"What am I? What are you?"

"… Black… Imp?"

"A black imp, huh? Real funny."

He then swung the staff at me again.

I easily evaded the attack, then jumped at him. This was quite the good opportunity to test out my new skill.

'Activate skill [Nasty Bite]!'

He blocked my attack with the staff, and slammed me into a wall.

Although not really painful, I still didn't like the idea of losing health points. I also didn't want to kill it, as I wasn't sure whether it had a soul, and if it did have a soul, my [Soul Consumption] wasn't high level enough to consume its entirety, so I would be missing some parts.

With that said, I looked around and I saw a rock. I picked it up and threw it at it.

"Hey, what are you doing?"

I then ran behind him, but he tried to hit me with the staff again. I jumped onto it. He wasn't much bigger than me, so the staff was as disproportional to him as it was to me, which meant, he shouldn't have been strong enough to carry it with my weight.

'I have you now!'

I could see the creature to struggling, but I noticed that the staff hadn't gone down. Instead, it was being risen up and he slammed me into the ground with all his might and a large roar.

"OOOOOOOHHHHH!"

BAM!

"EUK!"

'Ah! This guy… Didn't I just grow stronger and faster? How is it able to keep up? It's not stronger than the goblin warrior, I think… so why?'

I got up again, and faced the creature. It scowled at me for some strange reason and I tried to go for a heartwarming smile.

I kicked some dirt into its eye, then jumped towards the cave wall, then with a lot of power, I pushed off. The air whizzed as my body made its way through it like I owned the place and when I was in range, I grabbed the monster by the shoulders, pinning it on the ground, then I bit the monster on its arm and it let out a large cry.

'Fear, huh? In that case.'

"I ask again. Who. You?"

"M-my name's Enma! I'm a simple monkey-man! D-don't hurt me."

This time, the creature was cowering in fear and answered me quickly.

"Monkey-man? What is that?"

'Resisting? Ah!'

"You don't know what a monkey-man is?"

"No."

I responded quickly while observing the stranger. He wore some weird clothes like the humans. If I was right, he was wearing a vest, some pants and had a bag slung over his shoulder.

"You came from the outside, didn't you?"

I excitedly asked.

"Y-yes."

"That's so amazing! Tell me about that place! I want to know everything about it! How the people behave, what kind of things they do for fun, the kind of meat around, everything!"

"Eh? Are you stupid or something?"

He sharply responded with a violent tone.

"Oh, sorry about that."

I walked off the creature and sat in front of him.

"Second of all, if you want to go outside, I can help you do just that."

"Oh?"

"But on one condition."

"Say it!"

"You let me have the contents of that item box."

"Eh? That's what you want? In that case, you can-"

I shrugged then walked towards the item box, then opened it. I reached into it and pulled out something.

I picked up the breastplate that was in the item box.

"If I remember right, Breastplate only forms part of the armor, right? Whatever."

I decided to put on the breastplate regardless.

'Eugh… it's three times my size too...'

But then, it shrunk to fit my size perfectly, and it formed new gear on my arms and legs. Even my tail was covered in rusty copper armor and a helmet encased my head.

I looked inside the box once again and I found a bone dagger inside. I picked it up and the green jewel at its hilt vibrated violently.

I swung the blade around and waved like I was some sort of knight from Lori's memories.

The furry creature asked. I handed the bone sword to him after observing it, and he also stared at it with awe.

"This… this weapon is beautiful."

'Hmm, hmm. My <<Green Eater>> sure is a beauty, isn't it?'

I nodded proudly, feeling a bit weird. Was this embarrassment?

The monkey said with a bow, before jumping away with my staff and <<Green Eater>>

I was a bit confused by its actions and it took a while before I realized it was showing me the way to the outside.
