Prolouge

Hush...

The quietness so loud...

As the sound of crickets and occasional hoot of an owl pierced the deafening silence.

Warm lights from every house began to turn off one by one, darkening the small town, as the pale moon hung alone. A young lad, around the age of eighteen stared out of his frost-laced window into the cold night.

His eyes were filling with tears but he tried to look brave as his lower lip trembled.

He really tried..

He did tried...

Until the first tear began to drop.

That was when the first flakes of snow began to fall.

Ever so gently.

He began to open his window, not minding the stinging bite of the cold outside.

Soft powdered snow began to enter through the glass of his bedroom window as the gentle hush of the wind cloaked the room.

Starring into a blank space, blaming no one but himself.

"why?"

"why does it have to be them?"

He whispered silently hoping someone would reply to his cries.

But answered by a sound of silence.

Beads of tears began to form at his eyes once again.

Sobbing...

He really thought he escaped his traumatic childhood but after he moved away he had experienced more.
