16 The blooming of a new stage

After they finished dinner, they both went back to their room to get ready for bed. It was already 11 by the time both of them had finished washing up and climbed into bed. Alan looked over at Ashley as she climbed onto her side of the bed.

"This weekend, should we go on a getaway? You said you wanted to date. What better way than a weekend away from home?"

Ashley looked over and smiled, "We received an invitation last weekend for Emily's birthday party. It's this Saturday. I don't think we will be able to go anywhere this weekend."

"Then what kind of date do you want to go on? We will go on a short one Friday night and we can do a whole day one on Sunday."

Ashley laughed lightly and went over to be embraced by Alan. "What kind of guy asks the girl what kind of date they want? In that case, I can go on a date by myself, why do I need to trouble you? The whole point of dating is the surprise, the spending quality time together, the whole process. If I just tell you what I want to do, that's not dating. That is asking for company."

Alan wrinkled his face as he wrapped his arms around her. "I'm in my early 30s and I still have to find ways to humor the opposite sex? Why do I feel like I'm living backwards? Do people in their 30s still think of these things? Aren't our imaginations supposed to be used up already and we focus more on reality."

Ashley smiled and wrapped her arms around his waist. "You aren't living backwards. You are just...living your youth late. Its not like you ever took the time to appeal to a girl anyways, right? Besides, imagination is not age restricted. Everyone imagines, dreams and fantasizes their whole life. You can take it as you are learning the ropes of a relationship now."

He chuckled softly and then went to whisper in her ears teasingly, "how about we continue learning about something else tonight? You are still a beginner, there are still so many things I can teach you."

The warm breath that flowed from her ears down to her neck caused her to shiver a little. She turned her head to look up at him and at that time he leaned down and enveloped her mouth in a kiss. She closed her eyes and savored the moment. Earlier in the night her heart was already touched by the words that Alan had spoken, now with his playfulness and the current mood, it was hard for her to pull away.

Alan laid Ashley down on the bed and after a brief make-out session, reluctantly pulled away thinking of how tired she must be tonight. "I'm just kidding. I know you must be tired today. I'll let you get some rest for now but I will be sure to collect on this debt in the near future."

As he sat back up, Ashley also rose and wrapped her arms around his waist as she went to kiss his neck provokingly. In between little pecks on his neck to moving onto his lap, she lightly said as she blushed softly, "today since you have been so good, I think I should reward you with something."

This was only the second time that they would have been intimate together but to actually be the one to take the initiative today made Ashley unable to suppress the rogue color creeping onto her face. She had no experience but she actually was trying to lead. All she felt at that moment was embarrassed and shy. What if she wasn't any good? What if she does something wrong? But she didn't think about it too much as she just let herself fall into the moment, her self confidence will have to creep up soon enough.

When Alan felt her tiny kisses on his neck, the desire within him could not be contained. For four years, he has always wanted to be able to toss around the bed with Ashley but he kept his distance because that was what she wanted. But, after the last time that they did the deed, his desire has been insatiable. Once he was able to completely be one with Ashley, he has been looking forward to the next time. Who knew that this time, when he was willing to be patient with her and ignore his urges that she would take the initiative to pursue him. With her fanning the fire, there was no way to extinguish it anymore. He turned his passive state into an active state and started responding to her with passion.

Ashley woke up the next morning to the alarm she set on her cell phone. She was a little sore and tired from last night's activity but was happily satisfied. She looked over to see her husband still in slumber and smiled. Because of the recent development on a new technology in their R&D department, there have been numerous things waiting for her review and approval. She rubbed her eyes in hope of wiping off the grogginess she was feeling and went to get up. Before she could actually get up though, there was an arm that snaked around her waist.

"It's still early? Where are you going? Aren't you tired?"

She turned around and saw Alan lazily looking at her. "I have to get to work. There are a bunch of things that I need to review in order to not delay progress. You look tired, go back to sleep. I will try to be as quiet as possible."

He let out a yawn. "Are you going to be back late again tonight?"

"Probably. This week will be a very busy week for me. You should eat on your own tonight. I might just have something delivered to the office." She lightly said as she gave him a quick peck on the lips and removed his hands so she could get ready for work.

He watched as she left and took with her her body warmth leaving him feeling a bit empty and cold. He let out a sigh as he got up to get ready to start the day as well. He wasn't going to be able to fall asleep again anyways.

They both left to work at the same time and as Alan was driven to work, he thought that tonight would be a good opportunity to give his wife some romance.

Since he wasn't too busy with work recently and he was heading to work early, he would be able to leave early to plan a nice surprise for his dear wife. After all, she did say that she wanted to date and wanted to experience all the happiness there was to a relationship. It was time to him to put his best foot forward and win over his wife's heart so that she would never be able to leave him this lifetime. Now, all that is left is the actual planning of the surprise. He would have to execute the surprise right under her nose at her office without her knowledge. Can a guy who has never wooed a female before actually do a good job?
