40 Chapter 40 - Ran Into Him

In the car, the specialness of his physical strength left Ji Anyao with no means to escape.

Clearly, she was not Bai Siyu's match even though he wasn't burly. However, even if he was burly, she wouldn't be at an advantage. 

All of a sudden, it was dead silent in the darkness. 

Amidst the tension, Ji Anyao did not speak again and it was as if she had to use that method to show her stubbornness. 

However, Bai Siyu refused to let her off. He even inched over and leaned in close to her ear. 

With a dangerous tone, he warned her indifferently, "How is it? Do you remember now? I said you're my woman so you'd better understand that. Mark my words."

Ji Anyao immediately felt ashamed after hearing his words. 

Clearly, Bai Siyu was a jerk, no doubt! 

However, at the same time... she had no choice but to admit that he was right even though his words were unpleasant. 

Regardless of her intentions, she was not as repulsed by his advances as she imagined she would.  At least, she wouldn't feel uneasy like she did when other men got near her!

She even began to be convinced that when she was in a daze last night, she had indeed... taken the initiative to throw herself at him. 

However, even then, he was a jerk for taking advantage! 

Outside the car, the air was rather chilly. 

The humid night breeze that came after the rain made her face feel clammy when it blew against it. 

Under the moon at night, someone's heart became colder. 

Standing at a stone's throw away, Han Yi could almost instantly recognize the silvery white sports car under the white light... It belonged to Bai Siyu! 

The car that shouldn't have appeared there was suddenly parked outside the Gu Family's residence. 

The engine was off and so were the lights. 

However, Han Yi knew clearly that there was someone inside the car. 

He wasn't too far away and while the night breeze blew past, he could still hear the sounds of talking coming from inside the car, which were simply too striking in the quiet night. They were like daggers that continuously stabbed him in his eardrums and heart. 

Thinking about the message that Gu Ningxi had sent him, Han Yi's expression gradually changed. 

Despite knowing clearly that that woman was deliberately sowing discord between him and Ji Anyao, the scene before him was real. 

A moment ago, his beloved woman had just agreed to get engaged to him and promised to try being with him. 

At the next moment, she was hugging another man tightly at the entrance of her home. 

That was probably the most absurd thing in this world. 

In that instant, Han Yi could clearly feel his heart scrunching up, after which... it crumbled and broke piece by piece until it was badly mangled and damaged beyond recognition. 

His deep and gloomy eyes gradually became sinister and coated with a layer of bloodthirsty menace. His rationality instantly crumbled and shattered into a thousand pieces. 

Han Yi turned around with a grim expression and strode back to his car like he had slipped into a state of obsession. Ignoring everything else, he stepped on the accelerator, turned the steering wheel, and then charged towards the silvery white sports car! 

Bang! 

The sound of the violent collision filled the air late at night. 

The two cars were originally parked near each other. Hence, even if the accelerator was floored, the car wouldn't be so fast as to send the other car flying far. However, due to the fact that the trajectory was a straight line, the impact of the collision… was huge. 

Sensing the violent shaking of the car, the figure in the car stiffened. 

Realizing that something had happened, Bai Siyu squinted and glanced behind through the windshield glass of the car, using the street lamp as a source of light. 

He could see a dark figure outside the windshield, followed by the outline of a car. 

'Tailgating? In this place?' 

It was in the wee hours of the night and there were no cars passing by at all. The road was wide too and yet, the driver of the other car insisted on driving into him instead of moving elsewhere.

No one would believe that it was purely an accident. 

Anyway, he didn't buy it. 

Clearly, Han Yi did it on purpose at the start. 

If possible, he would have charged forward, pulled Bai Siyu out of the car, and then beat him up into a pulp. However, that would cause Ji Anyao to be in an awkward position. 

Before getting a clear idea of the truth, he didn't want to do anything to hurt her. 

Even if she had let him down, he wouldn't let her be in an embarrassing situation. 

However, he couldn't bring himself to ignore it and just leave... 

So... 

He could only use such a method, which even he thought was childish, to vent the anger within him and to stop the two of them from advancing further. 

Seeing this, Bai Siyu roughly knew who had ruined things for him, but he didn't hit the roof immediately. 

Instead, he leaned close to Ji Anyao and said without caring about what happened, "Let's continue."

The more Han Yi tried to warn him, the more Bai Siyu wanted to provoke him. 

'You're engaged, huh? Why don't you get out of the car and come here to see how compliant your beloved woman is when she's in my arms.'

Ji Anyao's heart pounded and she came back to her senses. 'It's Han Yi!' 

Although he was usually quiet and collected, Han Yi was definitely far more menacing than anyone else if someone were to cross his bottom line! 

For the past couple of days, he had been fretting over her matters, and now... he had to witness that sight!
