1 The rental boyfriend called Kazuya

"My name is Chizuru Ichinose, a 1st year collage student and I just got my rejected from my crush."

"Will you please go out with me. I've like you for a long time." Chizuru bowed with one hand out and the other by her side.

"Sorry, I already have a girlfriend." Clasping his hand together and bowing apologetically the school model, Umi Nakano, rejected her with a swift dismissal. His hair long and grey and his bangs had been growing out recently with a slender body and a charming face. Chizuru's had a crush on the man for almost her whole collage life so far.

"I guess that makes sense." She thought to herself while still standing on the grass where she got rejected. "I've got no make-up on, I look a little nerdy and my attire isn't stylish at all compared to the other options that guy has."

The afternoon of the girl's rejection, Chizuru and her best friend Sumi were sitting on a bench eating their lunch. Sumi with a oni giri from the convenience store and Chizuru a bento box she made for herself.

"Look at all these guys at our school. They are all so hot, I wish I could date one of them." Chizuru stared across the campus with both her hands on her rest against her cheek. her gaze at all the boys hands snuggled around their girl's hips.

All Sumi could do in reply was a slight nod at her friends loneliness and give a beaming expression putting her hands up giving energy to her gesture. Chizuru didn't give any immediate response instead just still looking at all the girls.

"I...am .... sor-," but before she could finish her sentence Chizuru interrupted.

"Thanks Sumi, I'm glad I have you as a friend." Chizuru gave a gentle smile that indicated she still wasn't at her peak.

Chizuru walked back to her house after talking to Sumi and after unlocking her door and shutting the door behind her and just collapsing on her bed. She was burying her face into her pillow swaying her head side to side getting deeper and deeper into the cushion.

"It was too good to be true anyways. There's no way someone like him would ever like me in first place," Chizuru whispered to herself while her voice was muffled between her face and pillow.

Chizuru gave one last groan before she pulled out her phone, tilting her head of her pillow to gaze on an advertainment on her screen . There were pictures of beautiful men suggesting dominating her screen saying, "Are you lonely? Lacking confidence in talking to guys? hire a rental boyfriend today."

She looked at the advertisement for a couple of minutes hovering up and down over the install button. Hesitantly. she clicked down on the install button for the diamond app, lowering her head in the shame of her decision. She scanned the app for hours looking at her options for a date and selected the rent button for a boyfriend.

Chizuru flipped over on her bed looking towards the celling and with sweating down her chest and her button slightly undone she sighed. "What am I doing with myself right now."

Early the next day Chizuru was grooming herself in front of her bathroom mirror turning and gazing every corner of herself before she headed out for her date. She styled her hair in her usual cute double braids but today she pinned a butterfly clip onto the front of her hair. She wore a hoodie because that was basically her wardrobe along with a dress as a bottom and just a simple purse.

Chizuru was in front of a café leaning against the edge waiting for her rental boyfriend turning her head side to side looking for him. They were supposed to meet each other at 2pm and the previous night had been sleepless for our date due to her worries about herself and bags starting to form around her eyes.

"Red hoodie, glasses and a dress, you must be Chizuru right? Hi my name's Kazuya Kinoshita. how are you today?"

Her rental boyfriend appeared in a stunning orange outfit that shed no wrinkles what so ever with his hair being neatly combed and a silver watch around his wrist while waving at her. He was standing neatly and at the perfect angle with his body facing towards her directly while talking. The perfect boyfriend for any person, his skin luscious as spring water and his style divine ready for any occasion. He was just as beautiful if not more hot than Umi, her latest crush.

"How about go inside the café for now." He pointed to the café's entrance that was situated right next to their meeting spot. The girl in glasses almost looked to plain with a red hoodie over her and her hair just with simple braids that wouldn't be the essence of any good date.

Chizuru was in awe for a couple of seconds just staring at him with a blank face that couldn't comprehend what she was looking at. She reflected on her own attire and looked down at her own clothes while comparing to the person standing in front of her.

They arrived in café, Sayuri, a popular dinner for collage students and her, "boyfriend" Kazuya asked the waitress for two seats with Kazuya directed Chizuru to her seat, and allowed her sit first acting like a gentlemen and placing himself across her.

"Sorry can we get the boring part over with. When you're ready to pay."

His hand curved in a cup shape ready to receive the payment for their rental date.

Chizuru reminded herself that this wasn't her actual boyfriend but instead a paid service and even though she knew that she asked for this, her heart was still a bit broken from Umi's rejection.

"Sorry, Chizuru are you listening?" Her thoughts were interrupted by his voice.

"Oh sorry, my bad." She pulled out the necessary cash from her wallet and placed the money into his hand.

"Well shall we get going than. Do you want to go watch a movie first."

"Yeah sure, that would be great." She just instinctively responded to his question with no thoughts for her answer. They exited out of the café and into the main walkway, Kazuya standing next to Chizuru's side the entire time they were leaving and heading to their next destination.

Do you want to hold hands?" Without any wasted time he held out his hand perfectly ready for her to grasp. His hand felt smooth, clean and had a warm inviting embrace to it that made her feel comfortable.

Chizuru still couldn't describing the perfect boyfriend she had walking right beside her. Compared to her own nerdy appearance, the man next to her had the look of an angel, his body swaying with absolute confidence and protecting his body with his own while they walked.

They entered the cinema together.

"What do you want to watch?

"Anything's fine."

"How about we watch the beauty and the beast today? Is that ok with you?"

"Sure, that's all good with me."

They walked still intertwining hands to the front counter. An employee looked at them, gazing at each of them individually, he abruptly asked a question.

"Are you two a couple?"

"Yes we are."

Kazuya brimmed with a comforting smile and it was perfect response with no hesitation. Chizuru could only turn away from him as a response because of the heat she was feeling from that smile.

"Do you want the couples discount, 300 yen off and all you need to do is give each other a hug."

"Sure, that sounds amazing. Do you mind Chizuru?" He extended his arms out offering a hug to her. This caught her surprise by the sudden invitation and looked at both his arms extended and than his chest to assess the person she would be hugging with.

"Yeah sure." She moved towards him wrapping her arms around his back down towards the hips.

He embraced his hands around her back and his dominant body was pushing against her front body. While it had a hardness, it was also confronting with Kazuya never exerting too much force to suffocate or make her feel uncomfortable. She felt a rush because she could feel the contact between them getting closer and closer.

"Thanks, here is your ticket. Have a wonderful time."

When the entered theatre, Kazuya once again initiated a conversation, always bringing the mood up when the conversation was about to die.

"This movie is great, the directing is amazing with each scene being. Do you watch movies a lot Chizuru."

"Yeah, I love watching actors perform on the big screen."

"I'm so glad I got to come to a cinema with you Chizuru."

His smile was stunning and his gaze had a sexiness to him that made her shake in her chair. All she could think about in the movie was his hand grasping hers but soon the big screen in the cinema shined and all of her attention was focused on that encapsulating her spirit.

When the two had finished Chizuru felt in bliss and the movie had enlightened her as she is griped the chest of her hoodie .

"Did you see that movie, it was brilliant, all the actors were really passionate about their work. The part with the princess screaming for her dear was wonderful and her voice was fantastic." Her face enlighten with passion gushing over about the movement by the actors on the screen with her body moving closer and closer to her boyfriend. In seconds her face was just a nose's hair from his face.

As she admiring the film she just watched as her, "boyfriend" in front of her just gave her a constant grin. She realised the position of being just a nose way from him and backed away in a hurry.

"Aah, I'm sorry. I didn't mean to get too close to you." She flailed her arms around covering her face while her cheeks became rosy red stumbling onto the seat behind her distancing herself from the source of her embarrassment.

"No that's okay", as he placed himself on the seat next to her and clasped his hand in between her fingers.

" I am your boyfriend for today after all. So you like acting? Do you want to become an actor?"

"Yeah, want to be an actor when I grow up and one day I want my Grandma to see me on the big screen. I don't have any confidence in myself to be honest, I failed most of the auditions I've too so far because there are way better actor compared to me. They have a more beautiful figure and when they speak, they have more emotion in their movement to me. "

"I think you look beautiful, people judge themselves in the worst possible way and that's just not true." His words had a conviction to them that made Chizuru.

"Stop saying stuff like that. That's embarrassing."

Chizuru phone started to vibrating in her pocket. She pulled out her electronic device and saw on the screen the appearance of a recent text from the hospital. She unlocked her phone and looked at the text in shock.

"Oh no, my grandpa just collapsed at the hospital. I need to go see her now." Pulling her bag and grabbing her hoodie she ran out of the cinema into the main road waving her hand indicating for a Taxi to come and collect her.

"Wait up, you have still got some time left I'm coming as well."

"No you don't have too, I had a great day today, thank you so much Kazuya, I had a fantastic time today. See you later." She bowed in respect and she headed into a taxi to send her towards her Grandmother's hospital.

He knew that he shouldn't follow her and not get in her personal affairs of his clients but he ordered a taxi to follow her because in his heart he had a gut feeling.

The university of Tokyo Hospital, 4pm

Chizuru busted through the room of her Grandma room panting after running from the bottom floor.

"Look I'm fine Chizuru my dear." As she showed off her arms, brimming with energy. It took several minutes of arguing from Chizuru's end to convince her of this fact . "Just got a little bit sick and collapsed, that's all." Chizuru had a look of distrust towards her Grandma's words.

"Are you sure?"

"Yes I'm positive. Now can I ask who that's gentlemen sitting across the sit. Is he your boyfriend?"

"Who?" Chizuru jerked her head to the side and saw her not too long ago boyfriend, sitting on the stool with a hesitant look on his face. "No Grandma, he's not, just a friend from school that I see sometimes. Stop making baseless accusations." Chizuru crossed her arm while she gave a small grunt at the pressure from her Grandma.

"Okay my princess."

The pair continued to talk for a couple of minutes until Sayuri's doctor came in and signalled for Chizuru to come over to meet her at his office.

"Okay, I'll be back soon Grandma. Don't move anywhere."

She gave her a glare like a cat looking at her prey and pointed for her to stay still as well.

Chizuru disappeared leaving just Kazuya and her grandma left in the room. Kazuya glanced at his watch and he still had 20 minutes on the clock before his rental date was about to end. Grandma Sayuri, eyes glowed with energy as she could talk to the young lad that Chizuru brought today in private.

"So how is Chizuru at school, is she doing well?"

Kazuya was surprised by the sudden question, and started internally sweating a little bit because he didn't actually know Chizuru outside of this date.

"Oh yeah she's amazing. She's kind and always helping people out. She is one of the kindest people I know and even though I haven't known her for very long, she is a wonderful girl ." That line was pulled as though he had known her for all this time.

Chizuru's grandma grasped Kazuya hand with a firm grip. Her hand had a stiffness to it that made it feel slightly frail but also stiff. He could see his own reflection from her glasses.

"Thank you for saying that. that makes me more happy than you can ever believe. Please take care of Chizuru for me, I know she can be a bit of a handful sometimes and she isn't always the most social girl but I am so glad she has a friend like you. I'm worried that when I am gone one day she will be all alone and even if you don't be her friend forever, I am so glad that she was at least able to make a friend at all."

Kazuya could tell just from her hands and the way she spoke that she cared so much for Chizuru and he was just reminded of his own family and the Grandma he had just recently lost. She used her index finger from her right hand to slide a slight droplet of water from her eyes.

"You don't need to worry Grandma, she is so passionate about acting and determined to keep moving that I don't think you have anything to worry about. She might not have the highest self confidence but I believe she will achieve her dream. "

"An actor, just like her grandfather said than. That's wonderful." A smile arose from her face as the fun illuminating across the window behind her shining upon her face reflecting her mood.

Hearing footsteps across the hallway getting louder as she approached the room, the pair stopped their conversation early and quickly went back to their previous positions. The pair looked at the door and saw Chizuru's braided hair first before opening the door.

"Sorry, did I keep you guys waiting long?"

Kazuya responded immediately.

"No not at all. If your ready shall we get going?" He raised from his seat grabbing his belonging readying to head out.

"Yeah okay. I'll see you later than Grandma, take care of yourself." Waving her Grandma goodbye from behind, Chizuru and Kazuya walked out of the room together.

"You too my princess, as well as you Kazuya, thank you for today. "

"No thank you. See you later Grandma Sayuri." Kazuya also waving.

"You look the happiest that I have seen you for a while Chizuru." She whispered that part under her breath internally thanking Kazuya for his support.

The pair was taking the elevator towards the bottom floor of the hospital, only the two of them in the confined space. Kazuya time as her boyfriend was about to end when they exited the hospital.

"So what did you and my grandma talk about?"

"Oh nothing much. We just talked about what you were like at school. I said you were a wonderful person." Once again Kazuya had given Chizuru another compliment effortlessly with a smile that again made her embarrassed.

"I'm sorry, that must have been really hard when you barely know me." Guilt filled Chizuru's heart for wasting Kazuya's time when this situation was none of his business in the first place.

"Don't worry about it, that's what I am here for right? I am your boyfriend. If you ever need help just ask me. I had a wonderful day, I hope you did as well."

They had reached the entrance of the hospital and he waved goodbye walking away from her. Before he walked away he turned around and yelled out Chizuru.

"Thanks Chizuru, I had a wonderful time today, I know you will become the actor of your dreams that will make your grandma proud."

Chizuru looked at him only giving just giving a shocked look. He turned around and she just continued to stare as his silhouette grew smaller and smaller and all she could do was stare at the distant sun where he use to stand.

Chizuru touched her chest. There was a flutter in her heart and a beating that she felt a tingling chest that clouded her mind. These thoughts were inappropriate for a rental boyfriend but she couldn't help them. Kazuya had disappeared from her life faster than she had seen him. Chizuru never had a man so kind to her, so caring and so thoughtful of her in her entire life.
