Palar Market

After three hours of walking down the mountain slopes, Old man Burnok with the child in tow and wolf Taba arrived outside the Palar market. Luckily he happened to pass by some rife wild berries on his journey.He then feed the juice to the child making it stop from crying before sleeping again.

Looking at the gate,he saw people falling in line to enter.He then followed the line with Taba beside him.

Minutes later, Burnok finally arrived at the entrance."Old man,pay 50 Sosep to enter."

Burnok startled a bit when he heard it.

"What?! fifty Sosep? Last time i came here, it's just twenty Sosep.Are you rubbing me sir?"

Burnok said with pained expression.He really didn't think that it would cost him this much before entering the market.He only got a few hundreds from his savings in the temple.

"Haha, old man, the twenty Sesop entrance fee you're talking is last three years ago.Hurry up and pay before the people behind you gets mad."

Burnok doesn't have any choice but to comply with the gate guards words. I'm really an old monk after all.Sigh.Too many changes that yours truly didn't know in the outside world.

After handing fifty Sesop to the guards,he entered the gate dejectedly.

"I wonder how many pack of milk can be bought with these few money in my possesion.Sigh"

Palar market is located at the Guigat City.The place is huge ,lots of people and beast companions can seen walking to and fro. Almost anything you need can be found in here.

Although the place looks chaotic,it considered safe because of the Guigat City soldiers patrolling the whole market. Stalls with different kind of goods can be seen on the side of the street.Yelling their Promos and Sales talk.

"Buy two Blackbelly Serpent and get one Flood Dragon Whisker for free. Perfect for alchemy just for three-fifty Sosep!"

"I only have One bulk of Spirit Dew Grass left for just three hundred Sosep, fifty percent off from the original price.Better hurry before someone gets it!"

"Earth Middle Grade Sword with Earth Low Grade Pauldrons for free.Personally forge by Blacksmith Balot! For five hundred Sosep only!

Any sort of deals can be heard from those stalls.Bruno didn't even bother to listen with those deals, what he needs are milk for his apprentice. He need to find a stall who sell milk but all he can see are stalls of weapons,alchemy ingredients and etc.

He walk towards the guard standing nearby asking.

" Sir, do you know where can i find a store selling milk?" Burnok ask respectfully.

"All food and other consumables can be found on Consumable Area. Just walk north and you'll get there eventually."The guard coldly replied.

"Thank you very much sir."

Burnok then clasped his hands and left.

On the way to the Consumable Area, he saw a stall selling toys for kids.All sort of toys from small to big can be seen displayed on the rack.He then asked the vendor.

"Excuse me, what toys do you think that will help me stop the child from crying? The cheaper the better."

The eyes of the vendor flashed,smiling hideosly before answering.

"Oh humble sir, you've come on the right time and the right place. I have all kinds of toys especially made for young kids.Why don't you try this Squeeky Ball, it produce squeeking sounds when you squeez it.When your grandchild cries again in the future,just squeez the ball and all your problems will be solved instantly."The vendor said with reassuring eyes making him want to buy it more.If the child will stop crying with just a squeez on this toy, how good it would be?

"Ok ill take it.how much?"

The vendor smiled evilly."What an easy target, i didn't expect to find someone this idiot haha.I'll try to milk this old man."Thinking in his heart,the vendor answered."Only One Hundred Sosep for that sir.

Burnok startled when he heard the price.Why the hell is it so expensive for just a mere toy?!

"Wha?!t,how could it be so expensive.It's just a ball for Gods sake."

The vendor then answered as if he already practiced this kind of situation many times.

"Sir that's not just a mere ball.The rubber we used to make that ball is not just a normal rubber.We used Guma rubber which can only be collected in Guma Birds Nest on Sprattly Island. Guma rubber are soft and durable making it perfect for kids toys.I'm sure you know the quality of that kind of rubber sir." The vendor smiled after he explained, he knows that people who had yet to touch the real Guma rubber couldn't tell the difference between the real and the fake.

After hearing it, Burnok hesitate a bit.He read about the Guma rubber before and it explained how good the quality is, however he didn't actually saw and touch it.He sighed."No matter what, i guess the vendor is telling the truth. I need to buy this anyway." After talking to himself with a pained expression,he took a Hundred Sosep in his robe and gave it to the vendor.

"Okay ill take it."

The vendor smiled happily feeling proud to himself while handling the Squeeky Ball. What an easy target haha.

Just when Burnok is about to leave, the vendor called him.

"Humble sir wait, I also happened to have a toy that is the partner of the toy you've just bought. This is called the Goblin Pacifier. If your grandchild is hungry and you dont have food in you, just put this in your grandchilds mouth and it will stop crying instantly. It gives the sensation of mothers care thats makes it more perfect to stop them from crying."

What Burnok heard was truly tempting.If he could stop the child from crying just by putting that in its mouth, how less annoying would it be when he had that thing? He turn around with gleaming eyes and asked.

"Are you sure about this thing? Are you sure it can stop the baby from crying when its hungry? What if you're just saying it to make me buy it?"

Burnok bombarded the vendor with those questions.When the vendor is about to answer , a loud and annoying cry came from his back can be heard.

"Uwaaaaaaaahhhhh! uwaaaaaaaahhhhhhhh!"

All people nearby turned their heads towards burnok with a baby crying loud on his back,feeling annoyed.

Oh sh*t! he's awake.Burnok hadn't yet to buy milk and the child is already awake.And he doesn't have any wildberries left after the last feeding.Panicking and doesn't know what to do, Burnok turned towards the vendor and said.

"Now, let me see if that thing works. Try it now and convince me.If that works, ill pay double!."

When the vendor heard that, both his eyes gleamed with sharpness then said.

"Rest assured Sir, my product never failed anyone since time immemorial."

The vendor retrieved the Goblins Pacifier before secretly dipping it on a bottle of honey without Burnok noticing it."I struct it big this time! haha" After laughing to himself,he then put the Goblins Pacifier on the crying childs mouth.

The moment the Goblins Pacifier entered the baby's mouth, the baby suddenly stopped crying.Feeling the sweet taste of honey, the baby sucked harder on the Goblins Pacifier.

The vendor laugh proudly before saying.

"Now sir, what do you think about the product?

You can see the effect clearly right?"

When Burnok saw these, he nod in approval.It really worked as what the vendor says.

"Ok how much for this? I'm a man of my words, so i'll pay you double."

Burnok asked righteously.

"Its original price is Hundred Fifty Sesop, as what you said that you'll pay double.So the total is Three Hundred Sesop.I'll never forget your kindness sir."

Bowing towards Burnok before grinning.

After hearing it,Burnok had the impulse to cry but he forced himself not to. "Why the hell did i say i'd pay double.I'm so fcking dumb. Sigh" Sighing in his heart.

Burnok's money is only around Four hundred Sesop. If he will pay these, only around a Hundred Sesop will be left for the milk.

"Nevermind.As a righteous monk, i can't break my words for just mere money.I'll just find another way to feed the child if i can't buy enough milk."

After talking to himself, he retrieved Three Hundred Sesop from his robe with righteous eyes before clasping his hands and left the stall.
