“Do you remember what happened when you were 16?”

“Edmund,”

“No Dagon, it's the right time to tell the boy everything, you can't keep him in the dark anymore,” Father just sigh in defeat but nodded in agreement to what had been said.

“Please father,” Araxiel pleaded, his finger intertwine with mine.

“When you were 16, somehow the binding spell weakens and you had a glimpse of what happened and loose controlled. Araxiel was badly injured...no you had your hands around his neck and he was struggling to wake you up. If I was a bit late he might as well be dead right there. I managed to seal you back and we were forced to separate both of you for a while as we were not sure if you would run amok again.” I can't believe what had been said but the looks the council members and Araxiel bearing somehow convinced me.

“That's why you always on guard when I'm too lost in my emotion or bout to lose control,” father just nodded.

“I'm sorry that I had to do this to you. We had no choice as we don't know when Atos would attack and we know he still bears the grudge.”

“Father, as we are talking about him we need to know something, have you tried talking to him?”

“My dear son, that is how we were cast out in the first place,” father let out a humorless chuckle.

“No, I mean that have you ever tried giving Solas's blood to him?” he shook his head but didn't say anything, waiting if I would continue my words.

“If I remember it correctly....no we don't have the chance to talk...”

“That's because every time we meet it's always first,” All other council members nodded in agreement with what had been said by Edmund.

“Well, I think we should have a civil meeting with Atos one more time,”

“And fast,” Araxiel cut my speech short.

“Well, we can give it a shot but please choose a more public place to avoid any side-track actions,” and with that father dismissed the meeting.

Araxiel took my hand and make a beeline toward our room. He pushed me gently to our bed and I sat down still looking at him curiously. He is still muted and now rummaging through our closet.

After a few minutes, he emerged back into the room holding my black with a red outline dress shirt in one hand and a black slacks in another. I raise a brow in question. He just grins his handsome boyish grin and shoved the attire to my lap.

“Just get change,” he said nonchalantly and walk back into the closet.

I placed the outfit on the bed and look at it again. Deciding that there's no use questioning my mate when he is amendment keeping his mouth shut, for now, I stripped out of my jeans and t-shirt leaving me with only my black brief.

“As much as I love seeing you in that tight brief, I need you to hurry up,” Araxiel encircled his hands around my waist and placed a kiss on my nape.

“Where are going anyway?” I tried to pry once more as I slipped on the dress shirt and tucked it into the slack.

“Well love, you just need to wait patiently,” he kisses my lips lightly and took hold of the sleeves, rolling them to my elbows.

“You look great,” he pulled me closer and nuzzled his face to my neck.

“I must admit that you look rather dashing to mate,” he mewled happily at the compliment.

“Love if you're planning not to be late better stop,” as much as I love his warmth and nipping at my scent gland, I need to stop him before the atmosphere gets hotter.

Araxiel clicked his tongue and pouted. I just chuckled at his cute antics. He reached for the car keys and hold out his hand. I gladly laced our fingers and walked towards the garage. Our garage is more like a parking lot, but considering how many of us living here, that's nothing strange about it. A distance beep signaling us the car was unlocked. I smiled as I realize his choice.

“Nice, I can safely assume you're taking me on a date?” I slid into the passenger seat of the slick black Tesla.

Araxiel just hums as he slid into the driver's seat and rev up the engine to life. I linked Eligor and father informing them about our absence for the night.

As we passed through the gate and into the dirt pathway of the wood, my mind wandered back to today's event and analyzed it one by one. I was so lost in my thought the slight touch of Araxiel's hand on my forearm made me jolted in surprise.

“You look so tense,” he laced his fingers with mine and gave it a gentle squeeze as his eyes still on the road.

“Just thinking back to what just happened today,” a tired sigh escaped me.

“It's okay, I've got your back and even though I can't remember that much bout my life as Solas, one thing is certain, my love for you is as real as it was before” he took my hand to his lips and place a kiss.

“I just can't shake off the confusing feeling and the uneasiness,” I closed my eyes and breath in his calming scent. I'm just glad that Araxiel just takes control whenever I'm in an emotional mess.

“Hey, don't think too much bout it now; tell you what, you rest first and when we arrive I'll wake you up,” I just nod and let my breathing eased.

“Love, wake up we're here,” he shook my shoulder lightly.

I stretched and rubbed off the sleep from my eyes. I glanced around and realized that he drove us to Hudson, Quebec. And sure enough across the street our favorite restaurant Le Cozy Cafe came into view. My smile widens and quickly unclasped the seat belt. We walked hand in hand to the cafe door and I took a deep breath of the delightful smell of dinner.

Araxiel pulled me to the window seat that we frequently sat and quickly browse the menu. Today we felt like having a seafood fest so for starter we ordered 4 Crevettes Gratinées dans le beurre à l'ail et vin blanc (4 shrimp gratiné in garlic butter and white wine), and for the main course, Araxiel order Saumon aux épinrds et aneth (Spinach and Dill Salmon) with a glass of water and I ordered Poulet au pesto et cheddar (cheddar and pesto chicken). My stomach grumbled approvingly as the waiter place the food in front of me.

“Well I’m glad that you’re happy,” Araxiel and the waiter chuckled at the embarrassing sound.

“Well can’t blame me, time-traveling sure does make me hungry,” I quickly bite a piece of the butter prawn and moan as the heavenly taste hit my tongue.

“I swear to god if you moan like that again, I promise that it’s not just food that will be shoved down your throat,” I stuck out my tongue at his heated glare.

“Araxiel, thanks again,” I reached for his free hand gave a gentle squeeze.

“No sweat love, it’s been a while since our last date and I need to get out to sort my mind about all this,” he just sighed and we continued eating in silence.

After the soul-filling dinner (not gonna lie, that place really had good food), we walked to the Hudson Village Theatre, and guess what, my ever so lovable mate bought two tickets to Othello. I dunno when he got all the time to do this, but who am I to complain. All the way there, we shared small talks and steal kisses here and there.

“Ready for some Shakespeare?” Araxiel grinned and I just shook my head at his antics.
