20 Chapter 20: Talked To Travis Today

The waitress interrupted us momentarily as she brought us water and took our order. Remi ordered their specialty, what she said everyone had recommended: The Guinea Pie and Suicide Fries. The waitress confirmed she’d made a good choice. She let us know someone else would be right out with our drinks.

“Suicide fries, huh?” I said as the waitress walked away.

“Yep. They’re supposed to be super spicy but to die for, and the Guinea Pie doesn’t sound like any pizza I’ve ever had because it’s white, but I’ve been told it’s a must.”

I did my best to not stare too deeply into those gorgeous blue eyes because I didn’t want her freaking out. I was supposed to be patient. So, I played with her hand and glanced around the place. “Looks good so far.”

“But your Bronx palate will have to be the judge?” She giggled.

I glanced back at her bright eyes and couldn’t help myself. “Yeah, it will,” I said before leaning in and kissing her again.
