Did you say Ice Cream?_CH4

Anah's P.O.V.

     Its Quillion.

He looks more relaxed than earlier in school. As I observe him bottom up, our eyes meet. His irises look golden now, might be the perks of Ben's Parlor's lighting. He recognizes me, his eyes give it away.

Okay fine, I was checking Quillion out.

In my defense he is an eye candy.

As we exchange nods acknowledging each other's presence, Yelda speaks out.

"Hi, I'm Yelda. Quillion, right?" Yelda using her extra sweet voice. The only time she uses that voice is when she develops a crush on someone.

I guess Yelda makes him uncomfortable because his shoulders tensed up.

"Any thoughts on your first day with us?" Yelda desperately trying to create conversation with the newest hot guy in our school. Too bad, it was failing big time.

Hmm, I have yet to hear him speak, oh well back to my ice cream. I nudge Yelda and give her the 'let's not bother him and back to your ice cream' look. After all, we have to - I have to get back home ASAP.

Damn, I can never get over this delicious triple chocolate delicacy. I have to say, Ben makes the best ice creams in CarKadia Hills.

"Can I get a scoop of the Dark Chocolate in a cup, please."

Fuck... a rough manly voice with ... wait, is he English?!

Damn, he is a guy to die for, but I guess me being the not-so-normal girl. Quillion speaking didn't get me as worked up as it did Yelda. She was in cloud nine. I got to say, a voice fit for the looks, that my dear is extremely rare.

"Anything on top," asks Ben

"Caramel drizzle please," not a hint of excitement coming out of that boy who just ordered the best combo I can imagine.

Just the right amount of bitterness and sweetness. Another perfection I'll say.

I will mind my own business, now; on the other hand, before I can grab Yelda, she gets up and hurries to Quillion's side. To get him to talk again, I bet.

I have my interests too, Quillion is intriguing to me. I am not really sure what it is, but something is there. Something I can't quite explain.

Quillion didn't give out one word to Yelda, her voice is the only one bickering in the entire shop. I watch Yelda as she goes on and on about the club activities.

Wow, did I just see Quillion look at me? Or was that another game my eyes usually play.

Weird.

"Yelda. Times Up. You coming?" I call for her because I am supposed to go home straight from school. Obvious excuse, 'After school extra class session.' Thus the few extra minutes before I get back to my room.

"Bye Ben, have a lovely evening!"

Quillion and I exchange a 'See you tomorrow' nod as I head for the door. Yelda is right behind me as the door slams shut.

Taking a deep breath, I take in the evening sun, the birds chirping nonchalantly and the sound of bus wheels leaving for the students' houses. Looking up at the clear sky, I bring my hand out and reach out for the invisible rope that will help me get there.

Yelda finds me silly, but it wasn't the rope but the stars I was reaching out for. No matter the time of day, I know that the stars are still there watching me. If on the stars lived another species like humans, I want to signal them to come and get me. Hehe, weird I know.

"ANAH! Are you even listening to what I am saying?!"

Oops, I left Yelda in the human world.

"Sorry, tell me now. I am listening this time for real."

"Soooooo, I think Quillion is sooo gorgeous. I could kiss his rosy ice cream lips then and there if he weren't so... blank." Still stuck at the new boy.

"Look babe, of course he would be blank. You were basically forcing yourself on a new transfer on his FIRST day itself. You tell me, wouldn't that be creepy and annoying for him."

"I guess so. But he was looking behind me the entire time I was speaking to him. Which is R-U-D-E, rude much."

Wait what. So, I wasn't hallucinating, he did look at me.

Hmm, I wonder why.

"This is it. See you tomorrow, girlfriend!" Yelda gives me one last hug before she turns right. I watch her leave for around 5 seconds before I take my left.

          *10 minutes later*

A welcome mat that is not so very welcoming, it looks worn out. Might just ask Dad to get it changed, after all Eid Al Adha is a month away. Looking at our dark brown wooden door, I wondered...

Is anyone waiting for me in there?
