Chapter 1

Ten years after that cursed day…

"What the hell happened to you?" my mom begrudgingly looks at me while we were eating our lunch in a cozy hut. My father also gave a quick glance at me before cracking the shell of the lobster.

This day was supposed to be a bright and beautiful day at the beach with my parents. But that b*stard and his new girlfriend ruined it. Curse their lineage!

My chin has a small bruise and there were some scratches on my cheeks. My mom impatiently waited for me to speak. Of course there are some ideas running around in her head and obviously they were distasteful ideas.

"I had a rough encounter with Hyun-jun and his new girlfriend at the beach this morning." I nonchalantly replied.

Yes, it was early in the morning and I'm already in a catfight with Hyun-jun's new girlfriend fling or whatever. That damn b*tch suddenly attacked me for no reason. Spouting non-sense about me trying to get Hyun-jun's attention. So gross! Why did she think of that?! Over my dead body that I'm trying to get his attention. Really gross.

"And why is that? You were only at the beach for an hour and you got in a fight so quick." My mom interrogated. She suspiciously looks at me. My dad also gave me a 'Baby girl, just be honest to your mother' look.

To my parents, it was a norm that I always fight with Choi Hyun-jun. They thought it was some childish petty fight between us.

They all thought I was only bitter because he rejected me. Our fights are harmless; it won't kill us but it can ruin one's image so badly.

And my image has been badly tarnished by him. But that's okay. As long as it doesn't affect my family's chocolate factory business or anyone related to me, I'm going to keep ruining his happy days.

Mostly it's just the battle of poisonous words to say at each other. Either it's in a public place or private, we always try to say something offensive.

Once we start arguing, no one will try to stop us unless one of us leaves the damn place.

We also have some mini competition about who is better. Most of the time the winner is Hyun-jun but I still win… sometimes.

"I was innocently lying on one of the sun chairs. I was trying to get that morning sun for my skin and I was about to doze off when Hyun-jun's girlfriend suddenly threw an ice cream on my chest! It was so cold!" I exaggeratedly said. But it's true, that damn woman threw her bubble gum ice cream at me.

"Why? You must have provoked her." My mother continues to probe.

"Ma, I'm telling you the truth and I was almost asleep when they arrived." I whined and pouted. And why should I provoke her? I should be provoking Hyun-jun instead of her.

"Fine. So what's with the bruise and scratches?" she questioned. Mom still has that probing eyes at me. She doesn't really believe me, huh?

"Well you know, I attacked her for throwing the ice cream at me." I confessed. "That girl became angrier when Hyun-jun was holding me away from her and someone else was helping her instead. She's like a panicked cat trying to open a closed door. The scratches were really painful." I added. That look she gave to me when Hyun-jun suddenly held me instead of her. Goosebumps. I've never seen such vile and murderous aura.

My mom rolled her eyes and sighed after hearing that. "You two are like cat and mouse. Obviously the both of you like each other. What's with this messy game of push and pull?"

"Eww! Mom! Don't say such things!!!" I disgustingly expressed. I almost vomit blood. She should know how much I hate Hyun-jun. Why does she keep on saying that we like each other? Who in tarnation put that idea on my mom's head?!

"In denial. Soon you will confess to him again. When you confess, make sure you get him this time. Alright? You've liked him for twelve years now." Mom teasingly said and sips the tea on her very expensive tea cup.

"Mom, don't curse me like that. It's not a good joke. And correction, two years was a blind and stupid Soon-hee. The other ten years and counting are full of hatred." I firmly said.

"Sure, Park Soon-hee." Mom sarcastically said and sips her tea again; Dad was only looking at us and enjoying his meal. I dejectedly sit while eating since mom will never leave me alone regarding that matter.

Since my parents are enjoying their summer holiday, the next day I had to go back to the city and take care of our chocolate factory business. My father came from a lineage of chocolatiers and they built their own chocolate factory.

Our chocolate factory is the biggest factory in the country and most popular chocolate in Asia. Simply, I'm living the life of a wealthy bonafide heiress.

Because of my wealthy background and ethereal beauty (cough), I do have some persistent suitors and had some 'almost' fiancé and husband. But that damn b*stard Hyun-jun managed to make all of my 'almost' fiancé and husband to pull out and leave me.

Heck! It was such a personal and serious matter but that devil doesn't care. As long as he can ruin my life, no one will be able to stop him.

So I tried to ruin his future relationships as well. Eye for an eye, tooth for a tooth. If I can't marry yet, then he will not get married as well! He started it so I'm just doing the same bullsh*t he's trying to pull on me.

Before I go to our company, I went to the nearest café first to order some blueberry cheesecake and donuts. I've been craving for it since yesterday. I'm almost drooling just thinking about it.

I was sitting and waiting for my delicious order when a familiar annoying male voice called my name.

"Oh here is our ugly chocolate princess. Good morning, Soon-hee." Choi Hyun-jun called and he was looking dapper as usual with his luxurious expensive Armani suit. He almost blinded me with his handsome face and bright pale skin. Even though how many times I try to diss him, he's really honestly handsome. Of course I will not tell him that.

It annoys me so much that this person, who doesn't deserve that angelic face, is petty and mean. He really doesn't deserve that face! Ugh!

By the way, why is he here? His company is too far from this district? Is he stalking me?

Nah, I bet he's meeting a business partner or a new woman.

"Oh my… I didn't know I'll meet Satan in here so early in the morning. Ahohoho~ A not so good morning, Hyun-jun oppa ~♥" I sweetly said and charmingly smiled at him. The good in the morning is long gone when you appeared, you jerk!

He grinned before sitting down on the chair in front of me. Ugh, what does he want now? I don't have the energy to argue with him.

He told something to his secretary before putting his attention on me. It might be his order since his secretary went to the counter.

"The chocolate cake here is really good. Have you tried it?" Hyun-jun casually asked.

Huh? Is he trying to have a normal conversation with me? Impossible! I bet he's gonna say something offensive.

"Of course. We supply the chocolates that are being used in here." I answered and smiled at him. I glanced at the counter to check if my damn order is complete.

"Is that so? Hmmm… impressive. The chocolates were really delicious. I would like to propose a partnership." He suddenly offered and gave a lazy smile.

I suspiciously looked at him. The heck is he planning? I'm not falling in any of your traps, Mr. Hotshot.

"Uhm… I'm sorry but I have to decline Hyun-jun oppa's offer." I politely declined and alluringly smiled at him.

The fake smile we give to each other is really exhausting sometimes.

"Customer Soon-hee! Your order is ready." The café employee at the counter announced. Wew! That was a great timing.

"Looks like I have to go. See you around, Hyun-jun oppa." I said and I still have the same plastic smile on my face when I left my seat. When my face is not on his sight anymore, I stick out my tongue.

"See you too, chocolate princess." He muttered. I wasn't able to see his expression but that's better than seeing that deceiving smile he has.

When I got my order, I didn't try to look at him and went straight to the exit.
