10 The Lady and The Butler
"Who the hell are you?!"
The figure was about to talk, but the other figure stopped them and did the talking.
"That's none of your concern. If you stop beating up that lady, we'll let it slide. And graciously return what isn't yours."
The other figure just talked anyway.
"To sum it up, give back what you all stole you stupid thieves!"
Rem is looking at the two figures and they seem… rather familiar, but Rem can't get her head to think on who they are and what they are doing here.
"What we stole?"
Asked the big guy who seemingly backed off Rem.
His friends follow as well.
The recognizable figure who seems to be a butler who seems to have a sword that has a beautiful grip.
"Don't play dumb! We know you stole it so there's no turning back!"
The other recognizable figure looks at the butler and back to the thieves.
This one is a female with long hair with silver hair.
"It's important to me. I appreciate your attempt on stealing it, but it's not the best item you can steal right now. Whatever Item you have on you, I don't mind it, but please, you have to return what's mine."
The thieves look rather confused, and thought they were there to save Rem.
"Wait, So both of you didn't come here to save this woman here?"
The lady looks at Rem and back at them.
"She has rather strange clothes. But If you're asking for my relationship with this girl, then I can assure you I don't know who this person is."
The lady looks at the butler.
"Do you? Subaru?"
Rem got a sudden deja vu when hearing that name.
"S...Subaru…?"
The midget heard her and screamed out to the both of them.
"Hey! This lady just said that butler's name!"
Subaru: "Huh? What? Uhm, No. I don't know her. Even if she said my name, I don't have any alliance or relationship with the girl."
The silver haired lady turns to the thieves.
"That settles things then."

"If someone stole from you, it's none of our business!"
The big guy points to the wall where that kid went.
"There was this brat who ran past here, she has it!"
"Yeah! That way! She ran that way!"
Midget helping with the pointing.
The Butler Subaru and the Silver-haired looked at them for a few seconds before Subaru looked at the lady besides him.
"They don't seem to be lying."
The silver haired girl nods.
"Hm…"

.
"If that's the case, then let's go after her Subaru!"
Emilia runs past by the thieves and Subaru follows.
The thieves just release a sigh of relief now that they're going but Subaru grabs the silver-haired girl's shoulder to stop her.
The silver-haired girl took a second before she realized why Subaru stopped him.

She nodded to him.
Subaru then turns to the thieves again.
"You may not have stolen from us."
Subaru pulls out his sword.
"But you're all not getting away from beating up a defenseless woman!"
Rem blinks and she suddenly sees that the thieves are gone and Subaru is standing near her.
The thieves have been blasted off to the entrance of the alleyway.
The skinny guy stands up with his sword out and he looks rather pissed.
"You bastard! If you think you'll win by magic, Think again! I'll kill you!"
"You think you can win when it's two against one ?! H-Huh?!
The silver haired girl has summoned some ice projectiles and Rem looks at them and she remembers that one of the projectiles that hit the cruel man back when she was in that old house…
…
Were these two… coming to save Rem when she was helpless in that place?
"Make that two against two, to make it fair. But, if you think you still have the advantage."
"Then, let's make it three against two then."
A voice came out as the silver haired lady opened her hands.
Rem is still weakened and is looking at Subaru.
Rem's Thoughts:
"So… You're subaru…? The one my mind keeps repeating over and over…"
Rem looks to the lady and sees a… cat?
"A talking cat…?"
Rem looks at the sky, and thinks about what is happening right now and why it's happening.
Everything that happened just now is so bizarre and weird. It's so weird to the point Rem can't put her mind to it. She knows it's a world where it has to have magic, but she was just confused at this point, and doesn't know what to do.
Rem sees the thieves fleeing and she slowly sits up and looks at the silver haired girl and to Subaru.

Rem: "You saved me..."
"Don't move"
Rem quickly looks to the lady who said not to move, and she already did stop.

The lady seems rather intimidating even with the innocent appearance.
Rem looks at Subaru and he looks at her back.
Rem just looks away out of embarrassment.
"I knew it, you averted your eyes because you have a guilty conscience!"
"Looks like my doubts are right."
The silver haired lady approaches Rem and looks at her.
Subaru: "Hey, lets just calm ourselves done first, and I don't think this lady right here would be responsible for stealing your Insignia."
The cat nods.
"I agree with Subaru, I think that was just an instinctive female reaction whenever they see a handsome guy like Subaru. I don't sense any malice from her."
Subaru: "I'm handsome? That's very sudden, Puck."
The now named Puck just goes to him and taps his head.
Puck: "It's true, well not for me, but in a female's perspective of course."
Subaru: "Hmm, well, I'm glad you think I look good Puck!"
The silver haired girl just sighs.
"Be quiet you two."
The lady turns to Rem and leans to her.
"You know who stole my Insignia from me, don't you?"

Rem: "Uhm.. I'm sorry, but I don't know what you mean…"
Both of them stare at each other for a few seconds before the lady turned from serious to concerned.
"I-Is that so? W-wait It can't be!"
She turns around.
"Did we really just go here in the long way??"
Rem looks to the side before she tries to stand up.
"I'm sorry If I was a bother, but I suggest b-both of you hurry after her, miss. B-but though, I… can-
Rem falls to the ground once again, she's very weak.
Puck: "Aww, you shouldn't have tried to get up."
Puck looks at the girl.
"What should we do?"
Emilia just looks at her and at Puck.
"It's none of our business, She'll probably heal if she gets enough rest, so we'll just leave her here."
Subaru: "That's really cruel. I-Is there not another way we can help??"
"None"
Said the haired girl.
Puck: "None?"
"Yes, none."
Said back by her.
Subaru: "Ah Mimi, you always say that, but you know in heart you'll help somebody who is in need."
"Eh? No I won't!"
Subaru: "Ahh, it's always cute when you try to deny things."
"What does that suppose to mean? And once again! I'm not going to!"
Rem looks at Subaru and the girl.
…
Rem's Thoughts:
"Somehow… I feel like… These two have a close relationship with each other… That's… kind of sweet…"
Rem closes her eyes as everything fades to black.
